Foreign AffairsRe: Boycott South Africa! Boycott Dstv, Mtn Etc! See What They Did To Your Brothers! by tpia: 1:36pm On May 19, 2008
how is this a joking matter? huh

The report said people were targetted and killed- its nothing to joke about, plz.

Neither is it the same thing as the British Airways incident. BA is a commercial airline and a passenger/customer has every right to complain if they feel they were treated unfairly. Nothing wrong with that. People also have the right to boycott the airline if they fell they're being unfairly profiled on the basis of nationality. Nothing wrong with that either. You have a choice of where you want to spend your money.

[s]The new racism these days is being linked to nationality, not only skin color.[/s]

This South African problem is on a different level.

Abi must all the Nigerians living in South Africa also keep quiet over these killings because they are Nigerian? They deserve to be attacked and killed because the Nigerian police force is known to be inefficient? What's the connection here? huh

can we think straight plz.

I don't know why this so-called culture of ours has become synonymous with disorderliness and resistance to change. Yet these are the same people who will be shouting Obama for president.

If folks in the US had the same closeminded attitude, will Obama even get an education talkless become Senator or run for president. undecided

I'm 98% sure this women urgently needs psychiatric help. Her problem can be classified as a medical condition.
There are too many nutcases who appear normal.

If they ask her now, she'll try to blame her attitude on her childhood and how she was raised.

What a witch. I totally agree with madamkoko. undecided

Guys sef. Are women really the weaker sex? I dont think so.  Just flash a guy some skin and they loose control.

In the instance I know of, a boss of mine got fired for having sex with an employee. The girl wasnt fired of course- just the sex crazed brotha. Casually bring up lingerie in a conversation and the battle is half won.  undecided

here's an interview I found.

he said his mom's from Ghana and Liberia.

http://www.modernghana.com/lifestyle/274/16/Sexy-and-humble,-van-vicker-talks-about-movies,-business-and-

Van Vicker - I don’t think I am a tough Dad but I don’t spare the rod. Whenever they get naughty and I spank them for any reason I feel like crying myself. It hurts me so much so see them cry even when it is not my fault. I want to be to them the Dad I never had. Not that I was brought up bad, actually my Mother is the best in the whole world for raising me the way she did, a single mother trying to make ends meet, making all the sacrifices so I could get good education. I just want my kids to have their Dad around because sometimes I feel I missed a part of growing up because my Dad was not there. He died when I was 6 years old.

Jamati: Where was your Dad from?

Van Vicker - My Dad was Dutch from Holland. My mother is from Ghana and Liberia.
actually, I hardly know the guy and havent watched his movies, but some of his pictures are very impressive. His wife is pretty too.

I tested the site using a random receipt number, and couldnt go further since it wasnt valid.

However, @ bolded- if the site says No Appointment date available, then it probably means exactly that.

I would have emailed them but couldnt find any contact information.

have you tried calling the embassy, if you can locate a phone number.

Also, you have to enter some sensitive stuff such as your passport number, date of birth and so on. Should you really be releasing that kind of information to total strangers on the internet? Anyway, no sweat sha. Just wondering.

They need a receipt from GTB bank, so I should think thats rather specific- as in you'd have to provide your GTB receipt number in order to book an appointment in Nigeria.

Maybe people who are already in Italy will know more about this.

michele101:
ok that is cool 2 but would you ever say u from senegal if you was born in nigeria?
It depends. If I was raised in Senegal and knew little about Nigeria, then maybe theoretically I could. The proper thing to do would be to claim both countries, of course. But its not set in stone.

One of my Ghanaian friends was born in Nigeria and even has a Nigerian middle name, and what he tells people is that he was born in Nigeria but he is Ghanaian.

The issue isnt as straightforward as people would like.

I don't know Van Vicker's reasons for claiming Ghana, but I'm just saying there are Liberians who were originally from Ghana.

They're both fine but Van Vicker looks edgier somehow. Anyway, they're both cute.

van Vicker must be wearing contacts as well. He wants people to believe he has violet eyes?

by the way, we should be more patriotic nah. Vote Nigerian. Though fine is fine sha.

is his mom Liberian or Ghanaian? Or both?

There are some Ghanaians who were born born and raised in Liberia, and they identify themselves as Ghanaians although they're also from Liberia.

FamilyRe: Your Earliest Childhood Memory Dates To What Age? by tpia: 1:05am On May 16, 2008
I used to beat one boy in my kindergarten class who got on my nerves. I hit him a couple of times because he was always trying to play with me or whatever, and I got in trouble with the teacher for hitting him. She gave me time out and I was so ashamed. I remember the kid like it was yesterday. We eventually did become friends but that was later. He was my partner for a dance. Come to think of it, were we intentionally paired. I'd wanted to be with my other best friends instead. cheesy

When I was three or four a naija lady who was my mom's friend pulled my ear so hard because I was naughty. My mom never beat us, so it was my first time experiencing that kind of thing. The lady was babysitting my sister and I, took us shopping, and stopped to check out some jewelry in a store. I got very bored and wouldnt stay still. That lady wicked oh. She nearly pulled my ear off.  undecided

I also remember when my dad returned after being away for years due to work and naija ties. I was older then, but he was spouting a beard, and for some reason that's what I kept looking at.

Maybe you are, but that doesnt mean everyone else is. In any case, make una form association. undecided

If you got your green card, then why are you complaining. abi you no get am? huh

On the one hand you're shouting about sex with American women. In the same breath you're complaining about paying child support. Yes, if you're in the US and you like sex, women will give you sex and also give you pikin with the sex. You no know say sex dey lead to pregnancy? Abroad is not Nigeria where some deadbeat fathers will impregnate women all over the place then take no responsibility for the kids.

If American women are rocking your world, then work as many jobs as necessary in order to meet your obligations. Isnt it worth it?

geez.
