she looks very much like her dad. |
Fhemmmy: Lol . . . Was not really an argument but just could relate with her pain. . . wont argue with myself oh.she's not the only one with pain, all people are trying to do is help her find ways to manage it better. |
^ok, no need to argue the matter, actually. to each their own. |
solar007: another pix. The lady may also be a member of the church. HAPPY MARRIED LIFEthats the older brother. |
imagine the pain that will be if such lady has a room mate at the University and the dad is always call and before the friend is off the phone, she hears "I love you too, Dad" my brother, it is not easy to not hold such pain, there are so many thing she might wanna talk to her father about, there would have been so many days, that she just want that father to say "I love you to her"well, all that lovey dovey is mostly western stuff but i get your point. when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. people are not the same, if your roommate has a dad, that in no way means you should get bitter at not having one. neither does it mean your roommate doesnt have her own challenges and trials also, which you might not have. |
GboyegaD: Henceforth, our Deeper Life sisters should be wearing wedding gown with veil to match instead of the turban and pleated skirt and blouse they usually wear.wedding gown and veil are for women who are openly sexually active before marriage. |
Fhemmmy: I am not sure how you are reading and where you are reading all that from.what i'm saying is there is no need to become miserable on father's day just because you're angry or bitter at your father. that one day will not change whatever it is you're bitter about, your action will only magnify it. |
writing on facebook, how wonderful and great our father is?and facebook is now the bible? ![]() what people write on facebook is their prerogative, writing on the internet is free. and btw, can people not express their gratitude to their fathers again because some kids have grouses towards their own? ![]() ok then. you people should really stop stalking others and and their relatives, its actually very disgusting. try to stay under the radar, friendly advice. |
Fhemmmy: Do you know what it feels like for a child to grow up with a father not taking up his role as a father, do you ever imagine what goes through her mind when you and i are calling our father on father's day and writing on facebook, how wonderful and great our father is? Sometimes, it is not about how it is done, but we have to look deep into the heart of the person.unless her mum is a transgender, i fail to see how that was the best way for her to heal. did her mum raise her to diss her father? ![]() that isnt how to show respect or appreciation for your mum, are you saying your mum is attracted to useless people? that is the message you're sending! do you know what it feels like for a child to grow up with a father not taking up his role as a fatherfather's day is a man-made day dreamed up by a human being like yourself, there's no need to go overboard with it. everybody is not the same, family issues are deeper than just comparing yourself with others who are not exactly like you, you dont know everybody's situation and the person you're referencing yourself to, also has their own problems they're facing. just saying! of course its not easy to have a father who doesnt meet your expectations, but life is not perfect. |

those [booty call] things were more common with quarters people because they had more freedom and less supervision, although admittedly some of it went on with non-quarters students too. |
@ the wedding gown thingy- what exactly is wrong with a plain wedding dress if that's what a couple prefers [and its cheaper too]? arent the fancy wedding dresses the same ones being used anyhow and rubbished these days by the twenty goats on okada crews? ![]() should i pull up the threads? |
dare2think:the tv thing might have been from the 70s, when deeper was founded. the kids were born in the 80s, i assume, its possible the church had relaxed the doctrine somewhat by the time they were old enough to know what a tv was. and the original injunction could have been for the initial adults in the church, watching tv is not mandatory. just guessing here. tv is not do or die, when i was younger my grandma was not deeper yet she never had a tv and whenever we went to the village, we didnt watch tv for the duration of our stay there. |

anyway, turn to Jesus, folks. what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul. |
ritux: AKURE — A female member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Fola Olasehinde was, yesterday, suspended indefinitely for being in possession of fetish objects including miniature coffins.hmm, things are happening. |
bashr8: we all know people from akwa ibom and cross rivers dont diss other nigerianswhy do nigerians always like saying they are angels? ![]() even when they're busy finishing you off, they'll still want halos on their heads. |
the kids are adults. people should just wish them happy married life and move on. |
kemetic7: So, what other scientific method is available that you know?scientific method wont apply here because the people involved arent educated [or is it enlightened]. they dont know there's a process to: 1. printing a book 2. producing nylon 3. wrapping a book in plastic 4. making something airtight. someone who considers any of these processes a miracle, is not likely to accept any scientific explanation for an empirical situation attributed to the supernatural. in any case, the stakes are high, so they wouldnt accept science anyway because it will interfere with the perceived goal. and as someone pointed out, the Koran itself didnt come as a printed book originally. It was dictated and transcribed, but people may be unaware of that. and like i pointed out the other time, the whole thing smacks more of ATR. lets not keep producing terrorists plz. Very unbecoming of the sw. |
Fhemmmy: For a child that grew up seeing her mother being the man of the house and taking care of her, it will be hard for such child to wish the "Man" a father's day cos being a father is more than being a sperm donor.is commenting on father's day a must? ![]() |
forensic analysis on what? ![]() clearly, a printing press, plastic making machine, human beings and plastic sealer were all involved here, among other things. |
Alideen14: ah aint sayin d womb is impure. D tunnel it passd tru is impureimpure physically or in what way? |
Aderupoko2: My neighbor too gave birth with a miniature Oxford Dictionary in the baby's handmeaning a score for the british? ![]() |
the only thing wrong with it is he looks too young for his age. |
Image123: Human beings, what must be done to please you? If they no wear, you they complain heavily. When they wear, you still dey complain seriously. If the man did not attend the child's wedding now, you will still be the ones to stone him. Now, he attended joyfully, na still story story. This life sha. While Kumuyi may not totally agree with everything in that picture, wedding and even the church, there aree times one should simply step back/aside. If he use heavy hand, you will say he is legalistic, if he permit, it is still you that will say he compromise. i as a person highly commend the efforts of deeper life church at not holding on to traditions of men as doctrine. There are many churches with faulty practices that they hold on to because that is the tradition of their church, that is they way their founder taught it, and understood it. Humility is the ability to accept that you were wrong, and that Kumuyi has. Perhaps, the old standards are not wrong but you simply cannot force grown ups especially over flimsy issues. i've seen more extravagant deeper life weddings BTW. The deeper life churches in America use wedding gowns, wear hats etc, its not news or surprising except to those ignorant fellows like many on this thread who have 1975 notions of deeperlife.wise words. maybe the couple are not deeper lifers, geez. The church doesnt look like a deeper life one. as long as they are sound in the faith, its all good. the wife is even a lawyer, i think, and i doubt deepers used to be in that field, unless something changed. |
saxywale: Note for your records, Obalufon was a very popular king who gave beaded crowns to many Yoruba kingdom. The popular Ife bronze head(the one with the beaded crown) made using the lost wax method sitting in a museum in London is called the head of Obalufon, 3rd ooni of ife. There is also an ancient Yoruba town located in Osun state still existing till date. The name of the town is called Ifon-Osun-Orolu.it seems the town in osun state was founded by indigenes from ondo state? |
what does obalufon mean? does anyone know? |
delors: Naaa...I have no problem with u. I just saw you are an ex-Ifeno, he said he was in ife the night of the murders. meaning he may have been one of the outsiders who masterminded it. not everyone seen on campus is a student. |
KHENNY JAMES: NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE JUST LIKE I CAN'T TELL THE SMELL OF MY SHITyou are sick, dear, and need help. see the post below: Agbele1: if u cant eat it dnt smell it. |
Abagworo: And who are these men going after light skinned girls? In our traditional Igbo society, it used to be fat and dark that was considered beautiful.haba, this isnt true nah? ![]() |
anyway, @ topic history cannot be ignored. and neither is it uncomplicated. |
make una dey form solidarity until they finish you. |
