here's more info:

Diam's (real name Mélanie Georgiades) was born on July 25, 1980 in Nicosia, Cyprus. At 4, she moved to France, in Paris suburbs. Fan of MC Hammer & Public Enemy, she started singing when a friend brought back Dr. Dre's first album from Los Angeles. As a poetry-writer, she decided to realise a dream : become a rapper.
Diam's joined the band Mafia Trece.

Nicosia:

Nicosia (/ˌnɪkəˈsiːə/ nik-ə-see-ə), known locally as Lefkosia (Greek: Λευκωσία, Turkish: Lefkoşa), is the capital and largest city in Cyprus, as well as its main business center.[3] After the collapse of the Berlin Wall, Nicosia remained the only divided capital in the world,[4] with the southern and the northern portions divided by a Green Line.[5] It is located near the center of the island, on the banks of the Pedieos River.
Nicosia is the capital and seat of government of the Republic of Cyprus. The northern part of the city functions as the capital of the self-proclaimed Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a disputed breakaway region whose independence is recognized only by Turkey, and which the rest of the international community considers as occupied territory of the Republic of Cyprus since the Turkish invasion in 1974.

i'm not concerned with how she looks or chooses to look.

my point here is she most likely has muslim heritage, nothing for you to get upset about.

tony blair's sister converted to Islam, did she not?

did the world end because of it.

so, just pull yourself together and use your God-given sense for a moment.
Christianity Etc › Re: Dose God Destine Some Poeple Not To attend High Institution? by tpia5: 4:47pm On Oct 04, 2012
there are many ways to get into higher institutions.

polytechnics, etc are also a means of obtaining tertiary education, if being admitted into a university is hard initially.

and try to read books that will help you improve your english because regardless if you study further or not, that's one area you have to work on.

Lord knows you have lots to spare for this purpose.

Better learn ghanaian because you'll just be the topic of discussion anytime you're the only non-ghanaian in their midst and it's best if you know what they're saying.

As per church, its up to you but you might want to attend both services until your husband hopefully comes around and follows you to a nigerian church where he'll be quite welcome because we nigerians are very accommodating people who like being nice to others.

siddiq202: What are you (tpia) insinuating huh if you have any prove to show that she was a Muslim before 2010 let us see it or forget it.
I'm insinuating the greco-roman influence never really left egypt.

And as per muslim influences in her background- if she releases information about her greco-turkish side, people can look that up.

What we already know is she has close friends of muslim ancestry.

Its like people assuming shakira has no Islamic exposure.

I think the troll is the one who opens multiple threads a day simply to rain insults on others under various ids.

And spends two hours composing a thread or post.

Your obsession with maclatunji is interesting though, however, i do mind my own business and i dont pokenose into wetin nor concern me.

ell77: Thank you very much - Exactly!. This is what I'd like. What do the they call it in Nigeria - boat club, social club or what? I know they do have so many and varieties too. Especially for the older generations.
different clubs like the ones you mentioned eg lions club or something like that and i think many of them do social projects once in a while eg refurbishing somewhere, donating stuff, etc.

not sure what they generally do in their regular meetings though- was never a member.

i think there are also golf associations and so on.

a UK Nigerian country club one day
that might be an interesting concept.

there are equivalents in nigeria but they're not called country clubs.

you may not know, but they obviously do.

i think i've pointed out some connections before now.

mossop, massob or is it mend, downed weapons, boko haram immediately took up the fight.

etc etc.

all that's left now is for the silent partners to identify themselves.
