Literature from north africa should qualify as north african literature. |
Nothing, really. |
A user name like yours isnt exactly reassuring dont you think. Big fat lie? ![]() Or is it an unintended pun. |
Of course if the boy actually did kill himself then that's unfortunate and very sad. But for now i'll remain cautious. I remember having an argument with aisha when she was still here, some years back when she also threatened suicide at a time when suicide groups were very common on the internet. Suicide websites typically consist of members who encourage others to commit suicide- sometimes as a group. Whoever is running the scenes behind these sites of course remains alive and in secret. |
Like i asked previously, is there any evidence the man is actually dead and this isnt a scam? ![]() Fstranger and a few other nlers have opened threads in the past saying they were about to kill themselves- people sympathized with them until they showed the ugly side of their characters and it became obvious they just took everyone for mugus all along. Dont underestimate these hacker scammers. They are a very determined and devious set of people always looking for ways to play on people's emotions and intelligence. Those are money makers once you find the right key. |
Can we have photos of who the wife is kissing. |
Not sure what that fellow is saying but i guess in future maybe only active members of a particular section should be allowed to vote for candidates. ie eligibility for voting should include having made at least 50 - 100 (or a percentage) qualitative (as opposed to quantitative) posts in the relevant section. There could be a cheatsheet or list drawn up of voters who meet the requirements. My two cents. |
True. |
Ekt bear you'd have to start by researching the slave trade in nigeria and even then the information isnt easy to access. Going by the names of kings wont really work in this instance since edo isnt really a monarchical concept per se- you're getting it mixed up with benin. I'll look for some links and let you know when i find some. Some of the info is also found in books as well- especially the older ones. Admittedly, its a bit hard knowing where to look or what to look for. Not everything is or was recorded. |
I think people should just be very alert. There are obviously more bombings and killings in the offing and prayers are very important at this time. Also, there's going to be a lot of manipulation going on behind the scenes in order to create an environment where certain actions will be seen as inevitable and impossible to control or stop. What is happening now is just the consequence of some other things. Its not really out of the blue per se- just the locations and maybe timing are. |
Well, its true that most men who spend lavishly to impress ladies, tend to be players. |
I think the general assumption in the west is a human's natural state is extroversion, and being introverted is an abnormality caused by either a character defect or traumatic circumstances. This may be true in some cases, but i personally would be careful about a one size fits all theory. Occasionally, extreme extroversion is a sign of impending mania, but one wouldnt assume all extroverts are potential psychos. |
I'm not sure introverts ae more prone to depression though that's the common assumption. I could be wrong but i think introverts may actually be able to cope with depression better. In nigeria, being introverted isnt necessarily seen as an anomaly, unlike what obtains in western countries like the US. Back home, its not uncommon within the same family for some to be extroverts while others are introverts. So, people grow up knowing everyone does not have the same type of temperament. However, this doesnt seem to be the case overseas- america in particular. Yorubas, describe an introvertedor quiet person as "inu e jin" meaning deep thinker. Its not necessarily negative although sometimes it can be, depending on the person's character and/or environment. |
Good points, @ gidimonster. |
Senility no doubt, lord have mercy. |
I think the only way you can make her happy is by being happy with a woman who is suited for you. ie your own. |
No. |
Some parts around that side. Dont know the specifics. |
Most introverts are extroverted when they want to be. Its not really that they're introverted 100% of the time. Just that they're more particular who they choose to be free around and yes, they're also thinkers who need their alone time the same way extroverts need to be around others. |
Can someone post her pregnant picure here because i dont remember seein any. Was the baby bump that tiny? ![]() |
They're obviously aiming for lagos. |
The nupoid parts were heavily inlfuenced by nupe during slave times. The nupes used to raid the areas for slaves. Then after the abolition, nupes introduced Islam into those areas. The ebiroid influences stem from proximity no doubt. Could also be the slave trade. In addition, some areas seem to have non-black admixture from unknown sources. |
Some parts of edo are northern inclined. They are nupoid and/or ebiroid. |
For those in know: the mosque that was bombed in maiduguri was built by igbos? Does anyone know what year. |
Other side (paternal) is edo with an ijebu or egba grandmother i believe. |
Lasinoh is half igbo on her mother's side. |
Find someone better or more suitable than her. Why would you want to spend your time pining after someone in this manner. Its just a phase, imo. |
Please help me ask those two scammers who were following me around on the thread. Couple of goats- who did they think they were fooling. Awon hackers oshi. They were probably among the people who engineered the whole thing. God punish devil. |
Sounds like a windup. |
oh, that's good, i guess. all these popular jingoes keep popping out of the woodwork. |
no idea who he is but carry on. |
