See how fast the joker op rushed to offering time. Anyway. |
People also monitor other people. |
As opposed to the ones who came over as adults. |
Yes, balance is important but that's not the issue here. Personally, i kind of like talking to introverts because i found most of them will give you their undivided attention when in a conversation with you. Unlike extroverts whose minds tend to be in ten different directions at any point in time, and who may always be looking over their shoulder for the next stimulus so to speak. Anyway, people are different and when overseas in particular, introversion is considered a character defect like i pointed out before. But i feel that's an incorrect generalization especially when considered in a cultural and immigrant context. I've also found many people of mixed heritage eg nigerian americans tend to be on the introverted side because they have to bear the burden of juggling two cultures and trying to fit in with both. Trying to be nigerian and american together for instance. Its not as easy as people think and might be more tasking for those who spent their childhood and youth doing this. |
it has to be reported by valid newspapers, thank you!!! the op or a concerned citizen should send them the photos and tell them where to go. |
@ topic i think a lot of women keep their love letters mainly for sentimental purposes, not necessarily anything more serious. there was one show like that where the husband was fighting the wife for holding onto some love poems one of her suitors had written her before she got married. The husband remained very angry until the wife said she kept the letters because those were the only love poems she'd ever received in her entire life. the hubby now realized he'd actually never written her any poems before. anyway, like i asked before, dont they have power of attorney in italy, or why is a 99 year old man just waltzing into court anyhow. not excusing the wife's affair, but e be like say something else is going on. |
The Italian press pointed to the couple's southern blood as the catalyst for the breakup, the Telegraph noted.so, southern italians are said to have more north african blood than northern italians? i just saw that somewhere. |
these men are lost. plz lets leave them and move on from there. maybe we can adopt some other african nationalities and raise them as nigerians. cos i really dont know whats up with the men. |
Oh, is it supposed to mirror the tunisian experience? Now i get it. |
The involvement of delta state in all of this IS rather fishy. Bombs went off up north, somewhere was then bombed in delta. Then you have an edo man attempting to also blow up a church in bayelsa. There is a bit of weirdness in all of this. I suspect unstable elements in the midwest (old bendel) are up to something. And are being used as a front by other elements. I love my delta peeps but i must still tell it like it is. |
Until i read it from authentic news sources. . . . . . . I think it would be quite foolish of me to believe everything i read on nl given the high number of scammers operating freely here. I googled "fire on third mainland bridge" yesterday and saw a video dated 2010. So, the whole thing remains fishy until confirmed through the proper channels. Seems like 2012 is going to be a wierd year, with all out assaults on people's common sense and mind games will be the order of the day. |
It was tough but i thank God. |
They certainly never opened or cared to open any of my M&Bs. |
They dont necessarily have to cancel. Other alternatives are to use alternative venues or break up into small groups. Anyway, God is in control. We bless him for his mercies in 2011. |
how many women is he mentioning? i |
^^that reminds me of a friend back in the day who did just that. we were casual and distant friends, saw each other once in a while, and we were at the same school. he'd originally started out as a friend of a friend, but before then i'd seen him on and off when i was 13 or so. We met up again later through mutual acquaintances, before the school thingy. anyway, out of the blue, i was amazed to get a letter from him saying he had feelings, etc etc. He apologized for the letter but said he wanted to get it off his chest and let me know. and he didnt want our friendship to be ruined by his action ie the letter. ok, i either kept mute or asked him later what he meant and i think he said he wanted me to know how he felt. turns out everything turned out alright afterwards because i saw him with one stunning lady and he looked happy. I was relieved and i think he did get over the feelings because we kind of drifted apart after that. so, that was the end of our little tete a tete and now its something for me to remember in my old age while i'm here rinsing my dentures in readiness for eating some corn i just cooked. lol. |
this is a book which i found useful when younger: https://i43.tower.com/images/mm102093294/spirit-controlled-temperament-tim-lahaye-paperback-cover-art.jpg Pople dont have to agree with everything in it though. i've typed whole epistles on this thread already- too much sef. people should just adapt to whatever situation they're in. Good luck and Godspeed. |
i cannot remember any houses UNDER third mainlandactually, i cant either. was wondering if my memory is faulty. |
^^which point? ![]() go easy on your paranoia. if you have a point at all, then why not divorce whoever you're with right now instead of hanging around waiting for news about others. lead by example. |
btw, isnt someone else supposed to have power of attorney? can a 99 year old still be making decisions on their own or is something weird about the write up. |
^^by all means, you should definitely know the extent to which you were deceived. be sure to let your carer know s/he'll need to budget extra time to follow you around as you hunt for clues. make sure your walking stick is strong and steady. |
se o ya irun? se o we? nje o para? ![]() |
such jokes. i guess users are trying to drum up more traffic for nl or is it the thread. afi paternity test na. slow news day really. i'll soon log off sef. |
i'm yet to meet anyone who is 100% introverted. and a natural introvert who forces him or herself into an extroverted character due to pressure from others, or fear of embarassment socially, more likely than not will sooner or later get into some type of trouble which could probably have been avoided had they been allowed to go at their own pace. trying to force yourself into another character different from yours can be very draining, especially if you're not in the acting profession. and chances are you'll still piss people off anyway because they'll sense you're not real and may also tag you arrogant and a show off. imo, find a comfort zone or somebody of like mind to chat with occassionally, if you're under pressure to conform to an extroverted environment. some extroverts do get very uneasy around introverted people. So try to set them at ease by engaging in a little chitchat- even if its only asking about the weather. |
i dont see introversion as a disease that needs to be cured. what i feel is needed is an understanding of temperaments because its a shame really that in this age of internet and access to so much information some will still need training before they know how to relate with different types. i mean, if hippocrates or someone wrote about humours or temperament thousands of years before Christ, then why is the west still uninformed on this issue? ![]() though to be fair their reason for being wary of introverted people might be from past experiences. however, where you have different cultures and immigrants to consider, you cant just make blanket assumptions. |
According to documents on file with Grand Rapids 61st District Court, Smith claimed to have had s.ex with "thousands" of partners, intending to kill them by infecting them with HIV. Some of those people are from outside the Grand Rapids area, including people Smith met over the Internet, he told police, according to documents. |
Smith said at his arraignment Wednesday that he has been undergoing counseling. Court documents show that Smith was admitted to Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services recently because he was "suicidal" and had tried to kill himself at least once. |
folks should be careful sha. some people are intentionally spreading AIDS by hooking up with as many others as possible. they may sleep with both men and women and wont tell you the truth about their aids status unless they either get caught or have a change of heart. http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/12/30/9833291-michigan-man-may-have-intentionally-infected-hundreds-with-hiv |
@tpia: This is something I'm fairly certain that my parents or grandparents would not know. None of them are historians, nor are we connected to Edo or Nupe in any meaningful way. But on stuff they would know, I ask them.
you still shouldnt discount the little information they can give you. |
like i said, the war is a global one, fought way beyond nigeria's borders. |
ekt bear i suggest you talk to knowledgeable people around you- preferably your parents if you want info about nigeria. Even if they cant tell you much, the little they know is still something. one's grandparents are a more reliable source but they're not always available. combine oral sources of info with online ones and you might begin to have an inkling about the answers to your questions. obviously there's something at stake here with the way people get very jittery at certain sources, not to mention the intentional misinformation commonly spread on nl. i'm not willing to get into any long pointless arguments at the moment so just go with whatever's being peddled- its up to you who you associate with. |
lord have mercy. |
