i'm sure you're not new to this forum and by now you should know who to trash talk here. Certainly not me.

if you dont like the basic information i gave you, then that's your prerogative.

What Southerners do not understand is that the North was never about ethnicity but about the various multi-ethnic nations that made up the pre-colonial empires.
this is quite correct.

@tpia, there are many synonyms for Muhammad but I don't think Muammar is one of them. Others you can find across different ethnicities in Nigeria are Mommodu, Mamadi, Mamman, Bomoi, Modu, Momo etc. There are other Muslim names with local synonyms for example Bukar, Garba, Abatcha, Habu all mean Abubakar. What Southerners do not understand is that the North was never about ethnicity but about the various multi-ethnic nations that made up the pre-colonial empires. That is why even today it's easy for settlers to be assimilated over time in many parts of the North. And don't forget, there is more about the North than just Hausas and Fulanis.
muammar = momoh.

if you pronounce muhammed as moh hoh moh, the pronounciation will turn to muammar or momoh after a while.

depending on dialectal variation.

^^where is the preaching? You asked a question and i gave you an answer.

in any case, london is the muslim capital of europe, so it's quite unrealistic to assume only christians did the looting.

never mind the fact that most of the people you're calling "christian" possibly dont identify as such? huh

^^i've given you the response to your question by telling you what Jesus himself said.

you were asking why bush invaded iraq, etc.

like i told you, world affairs are controlled by certain powers and principalities, and it would be beyond your understanding [or maybe not], to grasp what really is at play here.

i know it must have offended you.but sorry, there is really nothing in your post to "understand".its the usual christian rhetoric to make people believe through obedience without understanding which is equal to blindness.i really dont know what wisdom and understanding it requires man to comprehend basic truths and realities.
^^no, i wasnt offended.

i knew it wasnt the answer you wanted to hear, but the fact remains Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world.

I remember when people used to say a girl's happiest day is her wedding day, but look around you these days , you will see many brides who are finding it difficult to even smile for the camera, they will tell you it's the wedding stress
times have indeed changed.

if the boy gets deported to nigeria, he should just finish his studies there.

he'll lose a year or more maybe.

hope he'll learn his lesson and stop going with the crowd.

i'm one of the most accommodating people on nairaland or anywhere you want to name, so i do not have a problem with him as long as he knows how to relate with others on a public forum, or in general.
Politics › Re: Namadi Sambo Is An Igbo Man? by tpia5: 2:50am On Aug 15, 2011
^^correct me if i'm wrong, but i think gej was the one who publicly discovered his "igboness" when he was campaigning the other time.

trotting out different igbo names ranging from ebelechukwu to azikiwe, at various odd times.

so, he intentionally fueled the fashion of  "becoming igbo" and neither did i hear anyone complaining.

so, kindly allow others to find out more about sambo, if you dont mind.

*The meaning of Mazaje in hausa can be a, "strong, fearful & dedicated man". Or "warrior".[/quote]hmm, doesnt faze me.

he's the one scared of me, not the other way round.

hence his outburst.

he and i have a history here. undecided

i think the courteous thing to do would have been to ask "what's the meaning of what you typed" instead of going off like a terrorist almajiri.
Romance › Re: 6 Weird Things About Me! by tpia5: 2:41am On Aug 15, 2011
nothing unusual much about your list, imo.

you dont have to be handsome to have girls gravitate towards you.

most of the things you listed just show you notice stuff more than maybe the average person, so maybe that could be weird, i dunno.

as for the cold- not sure about that yet.

^^you're right.

i thought it was a fake story at first but then did a little checking.

lord have mercy.

this is one of the reasons why folic acid is necessary during pregnancy. Prenatal care covers all these things.

also, an ultrasound scan would have caught it, if the mother had been able to get one.

Anencephaly and other physical and mental deformities have also been blamed on a high exposure to such toxins as lead, chromium, mercury, and nickel
from wiki.

His 'ancestoral home' in Zaria is at Sabon-gari(meaning new town/settlement in Hausa) which is clearly a settlement that evolved historically for non-northerners/indigenes,Sabon gari is just like ama-hausa in Igbo land.

Let him show us his father/grand father's house in the traditional areas of Zaria city i.e outside Sabon gart
good points.

his father was a railway worker who lived in the railway quarters before moving to Sabon-gari area of the city?. Where are his siblings, uncles, cousins and Aunts.
hope there are answers to these enquiries.

Any way he is a Nigerian but let him own up to his identity if the story is true.
i agree.
Politics › Re: Namadi Sambo Is An Igbo Man? by tpia5: 2:05am On Aug 15, 2011
Sambo is the younger sibling, a second born male following a female first child.
how did it come to exclusively mean slave in the americas?

just wondering.
