I know it’s past the manner of women for the new bride. But it was also same for Sarah, who had Isaac at 90. Jerry and John, Kumuyi’s sons by Abiodun, would really not mind a biological sister. Miracles still happen, or don’t you think? We won’t complain if God does it again.
oh God.

people, please for the love of all things holy, stop ridiculing yourselves in this manner.

gosh, has everyone taken leave of their frigging senses? huh huh

the issue isnt whether the wife can have a baby at age 80 or if it's better to marry than to burn.

the problem is some things simply cant be explained away!!!!!!!

just keep quiet if you have no reply to the questions springing up!!!

Its apparent my initial statement has you totally handicapped in this matter, and penultimately got you trapped in a psychological maze in a desperate bid to come up with a "worthwhile" explanation or comment RATHER THAN GOING IN CIRCLES AS YOU JUST DID, Just so you know google is NOT GOD, neither is it a Robot that has answers to everything, its just a pool or resources, knowledge databases and indexed caches of Net-citizens (Netizens) daily activities and comments on the internet.

doubtless my posts make you feel inadequate and reduce your manhood or womanhood in some way.

however, take a deep breath, take time out to educate yourself instead of going haywire over things wey no concern you, and maybe, just maybe, your low self esteem might see a cure.

Brilliant, yet not so brilliant suggestion, The possible / common cause of death, doesn't necessarily translate into the "ACTUAL" cause of death, dont you think? wink
speculation isnt the same as fact, dont you think? huh

beached whales commonly die of causes which can be found out on the internet.

of course it's much more fun to thow wild conjectures and worst case albeit imaginary scenarios, but since google is free, i dont know why some would rather be allergic to it.

If no, then I wonder why you think 'most men wont show up'.
^^for child #7? huh

i doubt they will.

and neither should they be castigated if they dont.

the important thing is baby and mother are doing fine.

some men dont even bother with child #1 how much more showing up after that.

my dad didnt show up until after my delivery either, and i dont take it personal.

not a big deal, unless he's a new father.

7 is a bit much to start attacking him over.

the press are just being mischievious.

Even some unbelievers that lost their wife's at that age never remarried
true.

it is very worrying if non-christians show more character than christians.

well, the article said it was some elements within the church who prevailed on him to tie the knot, for whatever reason.

one also has to wonder why soon after the wife's death, some factors were already asking him when he'd remarry.

none of this looks good and i blame it on the spirit of the age which most cannot resist.

people need to remember Jesus' warning about end times sha.

God help us.

Umm, you're looking at this picture right?

With all the broken skin and brownish water around, and with the browning of its usually white underneath and the fact that it would have probably been floating around dead for days in polluted water, it is clearly rotten. I don't know what market you shop for stock fish (whale cemetery?), but I only see dried stock fish that was killed by the fishermen in whatever European country it came from, not whale carcass.
which whale has a white underbelly? huh Certainly not this one.

find out which type it is and only then can you know what colour it's underbelly is supposed to be. This isnt a fish nah.

the skin colour is normal [dark blue] and doesnt show any sign of the rot you're talking about.

the exposed blubber could be because somebody cut away the skin- those look like knife marks.

yes, there's sand on the beach. What's your point? huh

even living whales are covered with barnacles and bite marks from past battles so i dont see what the big deal is.

i guess you've never seen an animal slaughtered and dressed before hence your squeamishness.
Food › Re: Whale In Lagos(with Pics) by tpia5: 2:32pm On Nov 08, 2010
@princek

if the whale had died sometime ago, chances are it would have sunk to the bottom of the sea, not that it would be washed ashore 5000km away.

if that were the case, seeing whale carcasses would be the norm, not a rarity.

beached whale means it was alive, not dead, when it was first sighted.

buzugee:
what are ya ? a connoisseur of whale types ? grin grin
actually, i am.

i find them fascinating.

i've always wanted to go whale watching someday.

Princek12:
To all the people who, by comparing the whale to eating stock fish, see nothing wrong with eating the beached whale:

You guys forget that a whale is beached either because it is dead or because it is sick, and can therefore no longer swim. In this case, the whale was dead and was smelling, which indicates that the whale had been dead for sometime. Only God knows for how long. So if, for example, the whale died about 5000 km from land, it may have taken a couple of days for the ocean current to bring the whale on shore. So, it is the equivalent of eating a fish that has been killed for days and has not been preserved by freezing or refrigerating; but we can say that the salt in the ocean slowed down the decomposition process. Overall, those who ate that whale risked their health just to eat some stinky, smelly fish. My two cents.
buttkick:
whales dont get stranded ashore only cos they died. they can loose their way due to confusing tracking signals which they follow in their long journeys in the belly of the seas. they then wander to shallow waters which might, as in this case, be the lagos barbeach shores
thank you buttkick.

either make an effort to learn somebody's dialect or find what works for you and stick with it.

I'd say just be who you are but I dont know if your husband is comfortable with that even though it wasnt a problem before marriage, I assume.
Food › Re: Whale In Lagos(with Pics) by tpia5: 1:31am On Nov 08, 2010
^^what signs of rot are you seeing because I'm wondering if we're looking at the same photo.

if you eat dried fish, you've also eaten something rotten.

anyway!

instead of all this unnecessary hoopla, what people need to be doing is identify the type of whale it was.

From that picture, I assume it's probably a baleen whale due to the shape of it's head and the dark blue colour.

humpback? huh

yes, that's why many people turn vegetarian.

a dead animal is not a pretty sight.

however, food is essential for survival.

hence most can still eat meat even after seeing an abbatoir.

Caroline accepts that even the earliest signs were dubious.

‘He was vague about his age,’ she says. ‘First it was 47, then 37. He told me that when he applied for a visa to travel to South Africa, he had been advised to say 27 so that he could make out he was a student going tothe World Cup.‘

After two emails, he phoned. I knew the moment I heard him that he wasn’t Greek.’
In fact, while ‘Sab’s’ English was limited, he most certainly did not speak the language of Sophocles, preferring a version of pidgin laced with dialect and slang that is widely spoken in Nigeria.

‘I challenged him about it but he laughed,’ says Caroline.
