Please help on this

Have you been denied visa before? And did you upload all the necessary documents before requesting the emergency date?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by tracyroy(m): 8:54pm On May 24, 2021
I did expedition few minutes ago and it was approved immediately, and I have rescheduled
My initial date was tor September 9 nd school resumes August so I rescheduled to June 17th today
Plus dates are still available from 14th June as at this morning I just picked 17th because I didn’t want to pick Monday
Location of embassy is ABUJA
before you change location it’s better to be sure of dates before you change

Please have you been denied visa before?

Hello Gurus in the house, Please I have a question. I wanted to know which of the options you think will be more convincing to the V.O to show that I'll be coming back to Nigeria after school.

1. That I'll be coming back to continue working at my current place of work but in a managerial capacity. (Bearing in mind that I have only worked here for about 2 years and 8 months). I intend going with a Study leave letter.
Or

2. That I'll be coming back to take on managerial role in my family owned business, where I haven't worked at before( I intend taking CAC document that shows my parents and brother as directors, company statement of account and employment offer letter).

PS. Both companies are in the same Industry.

Thank you in advance.

Noted. Thank you so much for the advice.

EmeritusR:

you should use your school location as where you will be staying. there is nothing bad using her as a contact information. I'm sure you just need to be prepared to explain to the VO the reason why you are going to the US. the other things are in the Lord's hands.

You should try as much as you can to distance your educational purpose from your sister. That way it can help establish your non-immigrant stance

1. Based on what my school told me, the rule has not changed. You can print the copy sent to you for interview.

2. The window is 120 days. Count your start date on I-20 120 days backward. Or simply 4 months 2 days backward.

Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by tracyroy(m): 11:34pm On Mar 22, 2021
Noted. Thank you.

PotentialNurse:

1. The printed copy is still accepted
2. It is 120 days rule not 180 days. You can only go for an interview within 120days to your program start date, i.e if your program starts date is August 16th, your interview date should roughly be between April 16th to August 15th. While earliest admission date is the earliest date you can arrive in the US, it is usually 30 days before your program start date.

Hello everyone. Pls I have some questions I need clarification on.

1. Is the printed copy of my form I-20 received by email, valid for visa interview? Or must it be the hard copy shipped by the school?

2. What date on my I-20 do I consider for the 180days rule between; earliest admission date or program start date?. Thank you.

He should look up ABSN programs that can be completed in 12 months after taking the science prerequisites. Depending on how he wants to take the prereqs, it can be completed in a year if he takes summer classes.

Essentially, he should not take the traditional BSN route.

Okay thanks. Please do you have any idea on what the possibility is with him getting his Visa approved?.

A friend of mine has a bachelor's degree in accounting and has been working in the financial/business industry since after graduation in 2013. I.e about 6 years+ work experience.

Hello house, please I have a question. I have a sister in Corpus Christi, she has her green card. And the school I was admitted to is also in Corpus Christi. I wanted to know if including her in my visa application affects my chances of getting an approval.

Yes, the bond is between you and your employer. It creates the impression that you have a binding ties with your country and that you will be coming back to your job here in Nigeria after your program, which is one of those things the Embassy needs to ascertain.
If you decide not to return, your employer may charge you to court.

Thanks for the information. Please just to confirm, Does the embassy contact the employer to verify the letter?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by tracyroy(m): 8:45pm On Dec 02, 2019
Rexmy:
Yes, you will need to sign a bond. Most times the bond will warrant that you spend equivalent number of years, spent studying, with your employer before you can resign. It could be a study leave with pay or leave of absence without pay.
The letter should have the clause of the bond stated as well as your designation and the benefit(s) of your program after its completion to your employer.

So does that mean the bond is between me and employer and not my school? And would there be any consequence if I decide not to return? That's for the US embassy/immigration purposes.
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by tracyroy(m): 9:56am On Dec 02, 2019
Rexmy:
I will advice you to get a letter of introduction from your Registrar to support your claim of where you currently work. The letter should confirm your current position and that you will be signing a bond with your school, which will necessitate you to come back after your program in US. Present the letter at all means during your interview, one of the reasons for denial is because they couldn't ascertain your coming back. Good luck!

Hello Rexmy, does that mean one will have to sign a bond with the school? And please what again should the letter of introduction have?. Thanks.

Definitely it will be way way above 3.0. Hence you're safe

I would suggest you use WES

Would have used WES but because how long it takes them to deliver, I'll have to use ECE since I need the evaluation done within 3 weeks max. That's why i wanted to find out what the range of ECE evaluated gpa would be.

what scale is this for......... there is no way 3.99 would result in less than 3.0 except maybe University of ibadan that uses a 7.0 system. If your school is a 5.0 system then 3.99 easily should be 3.3/4.0 or even more , maybe 3.4

It's for a 5.0 scale. Thanks alot for the insight. Your response was really helpful.

Hello all, pls I'm new here. Please I'm in a bit of a dilemma, I applied for a school in texas that needs me to send my transcript to ECE or WES. Due to time constraint, I decided to use ECE. My current gpa is 3.99. I would like to know if my evaluated gpa would most likely be less than 3.0. Seeing that I have heard how ECE cuts gpa and my my target gpa for admission is atleast a 3.0.
