A few more posts now, you will start crying "they hate Igbos". What warranted your insulting another tribe now? Is this not how you spread hates while thinking that everybody hate Igbos because it's almost as if Igbos are usually the first one to attack another tribe especially the Yorubas.

A US double agent and you quickly shifted it to Nigerian tribal war. Be healed in Jesus name!

Unfortunately Destiny is right on this one

Congratulations to her....she deserves an award from GWR.

Yorubas don't know how to speak good English but Yorubas have one of the highest number of professors in Nigeria apart from having a son as a Nobel laureate.

Perhaps speaking doesn't matter much but Yorubas are successful.

So many childish comments on this Nairaland.

If a lady is bold enough to tatoo a snake on her chest, do you know what it is in her heart as a human (not even referring to spiritual stuffs here).

But a lot of what we see people do physically tells you a lot about their mental and psychological state alongside their belief systems

It would be funny if it wasn't so frustrating. Religion has been used as a tool to degrade the average Nigerian, psychologically and mentally. It was first utilized by the British colonialists and now by corrupt politicians who have learnt to weaponised "God bless you" while they steal public funds... Yet if you ask any Nigerian, they'll tell you they "need a god-fearing leader" when what we actually need is someone who has a clue how to solve this country's problems. undecided

Religion has always been part of us since time immorial and if the British and Arabs didn't bring Christianity and Islam respectively, we would still be buried deep in our traditional religious and much more superstitions than what is seen in Christianity and Islam today. Or else, why do the Yorubas have 401 gods and the Igbos have household and personal chi's?

The problem with religion in Africa is the hypocritical worship we do and that's the reason we're backward. Or the developed countries of the world are all irreligious?

Our Brothers have now agreed that IBADAN does not have only brown roof. We should have allowed them to continue in ignorance, now that they know, they want to kill the internet with normal level development pictures of Anambra.

You should be ashamed of yourself and your ilks who is posting this garbage. In one thread, one is fighting the ethnic jingoists among the Yoruba, on another thread, another ideological terrorist like the op and yourself are not helping matters. Firstly, what birthed the stupid comparison?

Secondly, you think Yorubas are fools that'll keep watching all the arrogant attitudes and the lousiness of some easterners?

Thirdly, do you really think Anambra state as a whole beats Ibadan developmentally? Then you've never crawled out of your cave. Ibadan and Anambra are not mates. Enough to some extent might have tried but it is barren of industries.

Lastly, while you people go about bragging about how southeastern states are better than southwestern states, what is your aim? Are you not supposed to be saying that to thousands of Igbo traders peacefully going about their businesses in the West?

It's just a shame that Nairaland is a place that encourages mypoic children (in thinking) like you and the op. Ibadan is moving very fast and I'm glad the Yorubas are not arrogant like the op to be posting videos and pictures of what is the southwest. Let the development speak for themselves.

When you hear people say, Obi made Anambra no 1 in education, you'll be expecting to see ANSU as best University in Nigeria but no.. It's not even in top 20

Bricks, lawns and equipment alone don't make a university. A university is first of all made by the presence of high-level academics and researchers before any other thing.

If you go by that, you'd understand why UI, OAU, UNILAG are the highest ranked in Nigeria. Some private universities in Nigeria are about beating some of these schools in terms of infrastructure but what about academics, research outputs and international reputation (which takes years to build)

Phones / Re: Between Redmi Note 11 And Samsung A14 by traihit: 6:59am On May 16, 2023
Had a similar dilemma some weeks ago. I wanted to buy Samsung S10 plus but money never reach and the Trassion phone I was using was spoilt by an engineer when I wanted to replace the screen.

RN 12 cost 136 then and it was really nice to hold in my hand. I was actually considering it but I decided to check out other phones, and guess what, I eventually bought a Samsung a04s.

Samsung midrange devices offer good prices for their specs and trust me, they're not bad at all. I don't know how the Reno 12 is but the a14 is cheaper and it's also a new phone. What makes a14 costlier than the a04s I bought are just "negligible" specs (e.g better camera, factory installed Android 13) over a04s and since those areas didn't matter to me, I decided to go for the a04s.

The Reno is good but I think I like the Samsung experience. It's kind of cool though it's a mid-range device.

Shine shine bobo....

cheesy cheesy cheesy

It may feel pessimistic saying this but the management of those institutions are not even helping at all. Granted that the FG is not funding them nor creating alternative funding routes for them. However, they also generate some funds and the funds they receive are not being maximised.

For example, I don't know why till this day, UI cannot create her own independent power system when Unilorin, OAU and co federal universities have independent power supply. You enter the school at night, and every where is dark like a village. This is aside other areas of infrastructure where the seriousness on the part of the school management could have helped the situation.

Every small things, Nigerians will call soldiers to settle little disagreement happening on the street as if that's their primary duty. Unacceptable behavior.

When it comes to the heart, I'm so sorry to say this but a typical Nigerian (rich or poor, educated or illiterate, religious or atheist, man or woman) is very wicked. Very, very wicked.

I don't know how wickedness is the norm for us Nigerians but Nigerians are very wicked people who like to oppress anyone deemed lower than them in any way.

I think they're at the stage where they're leveraging on their already established market share to get away with the same thing they grew their market share fighting against. Now a good midrange Xiaomi phone is routinely priced higher than a good midrange Samsung phone man and it's not like you'll get the same support or better specs.
Na them sabi o.

It's not only "Xiaomi, even Oppo and Vivo phones are crazily expensive much more than Samsung phones of similar spécifications, more customer support and the sleek Samsung design.

I was at a store last week thinking of getting a Redmi, Vivo or Oppo. The three now have something in common. They sell their old phones for cheaper amounts (to dispose them off) while the new ones are overpriced. Meanwhile, Samsung reduces the prices of many midrange phones to make them popular in the market aside from the new features they introduce to their phones all the time.

If those guys don't change, soon the market will be against them. I never thought Samsung would perform so well in the midrange market but currently, their doing very well.

Obi is the most vile and destructive political dingbat in the history of Nigeria politics. If I were Soyinka I would have hired a very muscular bodyguard that would help me slam the door in his face.

Then you can't become like Soyinka with this mentality. Talents alone doesn't make people rise, character plays a huge role too and elder statesmen like Soyinka and even the President-elect himself know how people should be treated when they come visiting you one-on-one.

That summarise my stance on the whole matter. It's left for whoever feels victimised to rise up for themselves not in violence but in consciousness.

Stupid lecturer. That shows he didn't prepare them well enough and is focused on denying the students good grades than imparting knowledge upon them as much as possible.

He didn't prepare them well??

A university isn't a secondary school though. The most important thing is for the lecturer to ensure the students are well intimated with the topics and particularly the area of relevance.

The aspect of preparing them well such as you suggested is more relevant in primary and secondary school.

its not a family politics. Rather i feel Osibanjo did nothing wrong contesting that election, rather BAT did. He(Tinubu) has no business becoming the president of Nigeria at the expense of someone with the quality of Osibanjo. Nigerians soon you will understand why i said this.

Neither do I.

If you were watching a movie, Osinbajo would be a traitor but this is not a movie. This is about the life of Nigeria and Osinbajo meant well contesting.

People criticising Osinbajo aren't doing so with the best interest of Nigeria at heart. Hardly will anyone have Nigeria's best interest at heart and support Tinubu over Osinbajo.

To me, my loyalty is to Nigeria first and I'll support anyone I think is in the best position to turn Nigeria around.
