Another catastrophe was averted in Kaduna State and other contiguous areas when troops of the Nigerian Army arrested 7 suspected Boko Haram terrorists bomb and Improvised Explosive making Devices (IEDs) specialists. The terrorists were arrested in Kaduna after painstaking surveillance and proactive intelligence operations over a period of time. From all indications, the suspects were in Kaduna to conduct suicide bombings, kill and maim innocent citizens in the state and other surrounding areas during the Christmas period. Recall that recently in Maiduguri some of them were arrested while trying to detonate IEDs carried in food containers in public places. The arrest of these suspects would no doubt assist in the fight against terrorism in the country, more so as the military have technically defeated the Boko Haram terrorists in the field, the terrorists have resorted to attacking soft targets through suicide bombings, IEDs and harassing attacks on isolated communities. Therefore, the public is please requested to continue to be more vigilant and security conscious by reporting suspicious persons and their movements to security agencies. This request has become necessary because the terrorists have resorted to mingling with the public across the country after sensing the futility of their encounter with troops in the northeast. Therefore, they adopt other methods of perpetuating violence in the society. www.lindaikejisblog.com/2015/12/photo-boko-haram-bomb-experts-arrested.html?m=1

What are the likely events during Christ return? - Suddenly, the trumpet will sound. - Only those in Christ will hear the sound. The dead in Christ will be caught-up first, then those alive will catch-up after them(this event will happen within a twinkle of an eye), and there will be a great meeting of the saints in the air with the LORD. - There will also be a transfiguration in the air as they meet the LORD, while the unbelievers (dead & living) will be left behind to witness the great tribulation, Remember the parable of the 10 virgins. 1st Thess. 4:16, Matt 24:29-31. Why Rapture? - To take the saints out of the world before tribulation. - That Jesus might present to Himself a glorious church. - To assemble the saints at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Rev19:1-10. - To allow the revelation of the Antichrist. What Happens next? - Tribulation will descend upon the earth for three and half years, after the first three and half years= 7 years- 666., Daniel 9:24 - The end of the tribulation shall culminate another glorious Christ’s return. What next? - A thousand years reigns of Christ on earth only with the saints. Rev. 20:6 - The Angel with the key to the bottomless pit and great chain will descend from Heaven and Satan will be bound for 1000 years; while unbelievers will continue in state of death. Rev 20:1. Then Finally? - The Great White Throne Judgment era, where all mankind will be judged accordingly. Rev 20:11-15. Brethren, the coming of Jesus is fast approaching than we think, for the night is far spent and the Day is at hand. Heaven bears the witness that you saw this. |

Serah Oyindamola Joshua, is the first daughter of Pastor T.B. Joshua. She was called to the Bar this week in Nigeria having successfully completed the September 2015 Bar Final Examinations at the Nigerian Law School. In an exclusive interview with The Guardian, Serah revealed that she will also be called to the bar in New York in January, having passed final examinations in November. “I’m grateful to God, my family and friends, who have been of help to me. I am humbled and privileged to have succeeded. I am privileged and fortunate to be the daughter of such a humble and great man of God called TB Joshua. He is someone I look up to because my father is a man of God and he has been able to guide me every time I need him. I am so humbled to be his daughter. He has been a good guide. Thus, I can’t afford to disappoint him and God, because to whom much is given, much is expected.”Serah told The Guardian How does she react to comments about her father? She says, “He is a true example of humility. I have seen so many character traits in him that are worthy to emulate. As a father, he is the best father anybody can pray to have. I am not just saying that because he is my father; this is just the truth. Also, it’s not what I think about him or what people think about him that counts but what God says about him.” She adds, “That’s why I said he is a true man of God and it’s not what people say that counts but what God says. Everybody has the right to air his or her opinion but God’s opinion counts most.” www.lindaikejisblog.com/2015/12/tb-joshuas-daughter-called-to-bar-in.html?m=1

At least 90 people have been killed in clashes in Burundi’s capital, Bujumbura in one of the worst outbreak of violence in the African nation. Scores of bodies are reportedly still lying in the streets with some of their hands tied behind their backs on Sunday. At least four police officers and four troops were among those killed in the violence, which rocked the capital on Friday. About 45 people were arrested. The Army said that the clash was the worst outbreak of violence in Burundi since a failed coup in May. Army spokesman, Gaspard Baratuza, said that gunmen had attacked three military sites in Bujumbura on Friday, igniting a day of clashes across the city. He said that 79 attackers were killed and 45 others captured. Unrest in Burundi, which started in April when President Pierre Nkurunziza, announced plans for a third term in office, has unnerved a region still volatile two decades after the genocide in neighbouring Rwanda. Friday’s clashes were condemned by the United States, which like other western powers fears the Central African nation could slide back into ethnic conflict. More than 220,000 people have fled the violence to neighbouring Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Congo. www.channelstv.com/2015/12/13/burundi-crisis-at-least-90-dead/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
The leadership of the Senate has placed orders for the purchase of 109 Sport Utility Vehicles commonly called jeeps in the Nigerian parlance, for its members to carry out their oversight functions. It has also allegedly turned down a request by some chairmen of the 65 committees recently inaugurated by Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to change their preferred vehicles which hitherto had been Prado Jeeps already to Land Cruisers. Investigations on Saturday showed that each of the vehicles would cost N16m. They were said to have been ordered before the constitution of the 65 committees. Tagged “operational vehicles”, the SUVs, according to a member of the management staff, who could not be quoted because of his status, would be delivered to each of the lawmakers in the first quarter of next year. The vehicles, he said would be formally handed over to the senators after their four-year tenure after paying 30 percent of the cost. The source said, “The jeeps are not official vehicles because the senators, in line with the Federal Government policy on monetisation, would be paid money for vehicles, accommodation and other things, so they are not entitled to official vehicles and accommodation. “They, however, needed operational vehicles to carry out their oversight functions. Each of the 109 senators is either a chairman or vice-chairman of the senate committees, hence all of them would have a jeep each” It was, however, learnt that some of the committee chairmen, recently met with the leadership of the Senate and requested that their own Prado jeep be upgraded to Land Cruiser Jeeps. www.today.ng/news/national/51141/nigerian-senate-orders-109-suvs-for-lawmakers?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |

No fewer than 53 churches, mosques
and hotels across Lagos State were
yesterday sealed off by the state
government over noise pollution and
other environmental nuisances.
Our correspondent learnt that some
of the worship centres were sealed
because they were converted from
residential apartments to places of
worship, thereby contravening the law
and constituting nuisance to other
neighbours. Confirming the development, the general manager, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Engr Adebola Shabi, said the agency received lots of complaints from residents and neighbours about the nuisance constituted by the premises shut by the agency. Shabi said, "In recent times, most of the petitions kept coming back to us. It was as if we are not working at all. That was why we shut the premises." He explained that some of the affected facilities had been served abatement notices before the eventual closure, adding that the growing rate of worship centres in the state calls for serious regulations, especially in the area of noise pollution across the state. According to him, some of the worship centres polluting the neighbourhood with noise are usually makeshift structures that do not have government approval. "You cannot have makeshift structure and say you want to be conducting services or night vigils there. Definitely, you will be disturbing your neighbours. So, the government won't allow the use of makeshift as a church or mosque," he said. According to him, nobody is allowed to make noise above 55 decibel during the day in residential areas and only 45 decibel is allowed in such areas at night. He explained that in the industrial areas, 90 decibel of noise is allowed during the day while the noise rate must not exceed 80 decibel at night in such areas. The LASEPA boss added that the compliance level was increasing, saying that more residents now understand the effect of noise. He noted that some of the religious houses also complying with the noise pollution regulations , pointing out that the hotels were shut for failing to conduct and submit Environmental Impact Assessment report about their premises. He warned that the state government will not condone improper dispose of sewage and usage bad toilet facilities. www.allafrica.com/stories/201512100274.html |

Divide your SALARY by 30 days and
see what you get (i.e. the number of
days in a month and see the funny
thing about your salary plan).
For example,
(1) An average level-12 worker in the
state government civil service earns
NGN 60,000.
**** And this translates to NGN
60,000÷30= NGN 2,000 every day. This
is LESS THAN the amount made daily
by an AVERAGE HAWKER in the city.
(2) A freshly EMPLOYED GRADUATE
BANKER in most NIGERIAN BANKS
earns an average of NGN120,000
monthly.
***So everyday, you get
NGN120,000÷30= NGN4,000 as the
daily value for your work-life. By
implication, this is LESS THAN the
amount earned DAILY by an AVERAGE
DRIVER in d city and in some
villages.....
(3) If you are a FRESH GRADUATE
EMPLOYEE in some oil companies, you
earn an average of NGN300,000
monthly. So in a day your WORK-
VALUE is NGN300,000 ÷ 30=
NGN10,000
**** This is LESS THAN the daily
amount earned by an IRRIGATION
FARMER supplying vegetables to Lagos
MARKETS, a TIPPER CAR DRIVER
supplying sand for three BLOCK
INDUSTRIES and CONSTRUCTION
SITES just 3 times a day and DRIVERS
of DANGOTE TRUCKS who have
bought off the trucks at scrap value
and are using them to convey
products between villages and the
cities for just five business owners.
--------->>>HOPE BY NOW, IT IS
SINKING IN, RIGHT?
And when there is an ISSUE in the
FAMILY that requires FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE, the DRIVERS, HAWKERS
and the rest are looking up to you
with a WHITE COLLAR JOB.
(4) If you are an NYSC MEMBER, you
DON'T need to be told that:
*****NGN19,800÷30 = NGN 660 is
your worth on a daily basis.
I hope you know that PURE WATER
SELLERS who own a shop, a pepper
soup joint and a small TOYOTA
COROLLA car to distribute pure water
to five restaurants earn MORE THAN
you & WHEEL-BARROW PUSHERS
working on contract for three
warehouses probably make MORE
MONEY than you EACH DAY
............
We shouldn't end at satisfactions from
these earnings. We should be more
proactive, create room for more
income and strive to diversify our
streams of income.
The earlier you wake up and smell the
coffee, the better for you......
I know of someone right now who will
say this is too ideal to be true but take
your time and do this analysis over
and over again, and you will grasp the
crux!!!
STOP waiting for the Government to
feed you, feed yourself and help the
Government feed others. That is
where we are in this age.
DO have an Entrepreneurial week
ahead!!! |
Former Vice President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Issa Aremu, has advised governors who are not willing to sustain the 18,000 Naira minimum wage for workers to resign from office. Aremu, speaking at the 18th Joint Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), said that such governors have no reason to lead the people, or remain in office. Presenting a paper titled, “Government Patronage of Made-In-Nigeria Products, A Panacea For Industrial Growth and Development”, Aremu noted that one of the ways Nigerians would judge the performance of President Muhammadu Buhari and all the 36 state governors, would be their ability to resuscitate the collapsed industries in the country and create more jobs. He expressed worry that the nation might be in for more trouble if the alarming rate of unemployment is not properly addressed. The former NLC Vice President also identified lack of road infrastructure as one of the factors that led to the collapse of the industries. He appealed to the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, to do his best possible, to reinvent the nation’s roads. www.channelstv.com/2015/12/03/governors-who-cannot-pay-n18000-minimum-wage-should-resign-aremu/
