Travel / Re: Lagos: Narrate Your Trekking Experience This Morning by trendingsleek: 8:52am On Feb 03, 2020
Trekked from doyin to bode thomas, got a shuttle bus for 150 instead of 50 naira. Sanwo has a plan of releasing his bus he should do fast students and workers are not finding it funny. Had to lap some students. Or better still he should appeal to employers incase their workers should get to their place of work late.

lol...time waits for no one in this immigration thingy. Band 5.5 last year....that can't be true.

It has always been
IELTS less than 7 in each band - 0 point
7-7.5 in each band - 10 points
8 and above in each band - 20 points.

thanks for the response

To get 10 points in English test, you need a minimum of 7 in each band of IELTS.

The possibility to apply depends on many other factors. With the recent competitiveness of this process, having a competent English (less than 7) may not be good enough to get the required points except your occupation is a trade occupation like fitter, mechanic, welder etc and you have over 8 years experience with solid partner points.

thanks should have applied last year when the minimum band was 5.5. i wonder what i was thinking. please do you have any link to a whatsapp group?

Mine is just lab scientist not medical lab specifically pharmacology laboratory scientist quote author=Alphadoor post=79981700]
No visa is easy these days.
Be ready to put in work and patience

As lab scientists, check the assessing body requirements. I think you have to do some special exams.

@trendingsleek

All you need to know is at this link https://www.nairaland.com/4478747/diy-guide-australian-permanent-resident

Go through it with a fine tooth comb and you will be good. You could also spend a good amount of time browsing through this link: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-finder

This is what I did, and hope it helps.

Hello Nairalanders,

I just got my PR and will be landing in Melbourne Australia in October by Gods grace. I need to start getting integrated as quickly as possible and so was wondering if there's anyone here who is in IT and can help me integrate quickly by way of advise, connection, suggestion, etc.

If there's also a whatsapp group I can join, that would be great.

Thanks in advance.
