A young pastor turned LGBTQ Activist who has been battling with the spirit of homosexuality has said that you can't pray the gay away after he finally gave in to the situation.

The youth pastor known as Dan Yomi shared an image from 9 years ago while he was praying to God to save him from the temptation but after leaving Nigeria he believes he is in a better place and still functioning as a preacher.

I was a youth pastor in Nigeria and a 20 year old praying for God to deliver me from the spirit of homosexuality. Those were dark times in my life and I am glad to be in a much better place now.

So No, you can't pray the gay away and the earlier you accept and love yourself the better.


The truth is that we would be shocked at the people who would identify as gay once it legal in Nigeria. They do exist but only lying low because they live in a country that doesn't accept their sexuality.

Dan Yomi said that homosexuality cannot be prayed away, the only thing you can do is accept it. Do you agree with him?

A Nigerian man identified as Bayo Adeyinka has taken to Twitter to narrate how his driver taught him some lessons about finance and savings.

Adeyinka said Biliaminu Lawal, who was one of the pool drivers in the bank he worked for in 2005, was driving him around Ibadan sometime ago and pointed to the house he built.

He tweeted: “I looked closely at Lawal. His salary at that time was not up to N40,000 monthly. How could he have built a house on that salary? How did he raise 3 children on that salary? I entered into a mournful mood. I started considering my financial status. “I earned multiples of what Lawal earned but I didn’t even own a plot of land at that time. That was one of the longest rides of my life. I realized that though I didn’t consider Lawal literate, he was by far more financially literate than I was.”

He said he stopped sitting at the ‘owner’s corner’ and started sitting on the passenger’s side in front when he is being chauffeured. Adeyinka said the driver inspired him to buy a plot of land on which he built a house afterwards.

Professor Peter Piot, a microbiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, added: 'Shaking hands is probably out forever.'

Professor Piot said that individual behaviour needs to change in order to combat coronavirus and the possibility of other epidemics.

Pastor Ituah Ighodalo lost his wife and best friend Ibidun Ighodalo on the 14th of June, 2020. Ibidun was preparing for her 40th birthday which was just a month away at the time of her death.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has revealed the face of Tolulope Arotile's classmate who killed her mistakenly with his car. It was revealed that he had no drivers' license.

His name is Nehemiah Adejoh and he and two other civilians were at the Nigerian Air Force base in Kaduna to visit the wife of a squadron leader.

“The Late Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, a Squadron Pilot at the 405 Helicopter Combat Training Group (405 HCTG) Enugu, attached to the Air Component of Operation GAMA AIKI in Minna, having recently completed her Promotion Examinations, was in Kaduna awaiting deployment for her next assignment. During this period, she stayed with her sister, Mrs Damilola Adegboye, at Sabo Area in Kaduna, visiting the NAF Base whenever necessary.

“On 14 July 2020 at about 10.55am, Late Flying Officer Arotile received a phone call from her colleague, Flying Officer Perry Karimo, a fellow helicopter pilot from the 405 HCTG, who wanted to discuss arrangements for their return to Enugu, requesting that she comes to the Base so that they could work out the modalities. Subsequently, at about 10.58am, the Late Arotile placed a call through to Squadron Leader Diepiriye Batubo, the Group Operations Officer (GOO) of 405 HCTG, who was in Minna at the time, to clarify issues regarding her deployment. It must be highlighted that the call FROM Flying Officer Karimo as well as the one TO the Squadron Leader Batubo both took place before 11.00am, over 5 hours before the incident which led to her death.

“Flying Officer Arotile was later conveyed from Sabo to the NAF Base Kaduna by her sister, Mrs Adegboye, where the Deceased dropped her phone for charging at a house in the Instructor Pilots’ Quarters belonging to Squadron Leader Alfa Ekele. Her elder sister later dropped her off at the Base Mammy Market at about 4.00pm, where she proceeded to photocopy and laminate some documents.

“It was while she was returning from the Mammy Market at about 4.30pm that 3 of her former schoolmates at the Air Force Secondary School (now Air Force Comprehensive School) Kaduna; Mr Nehemiah Adejoh, Mr Igbekele Folorunsho and Mr Festus Gbayegun, drove past her in a Kia Sorento SUV, with Registration Number AZ 478 MKA. 

“It is noteworthy that Messrs Adejoh, Folorunsho and Gbayegun are all civilians who live outside NAF Base Kaduna, but were on their way to visit one Mrs Chioma Ugwu, wife of Squadron Leader Chukwuemeka Ugwu, who lives at Ekagbo Quarters on the Base.

“Upon recognising their schoolmate, Arotile, after passing her, Mr Adejoh, who was driving, reversed the vehicle, ostensibly in an attempt to quickly meet up with the Deceased, who was walking in the opposite direction. In the process, the vehicle struck Flying Officer Arotile from the rear, knocking her down with significant force and causing her to hit her head on the pavement. The vehicle then ran over parts of her body as it veered off the road beyond the kerb and onto the pavement, causing her further injuries.

“Flying Officer Arotile was subsequently rushed to the 461 NAF Hospital Kaduna for treatment, while Mr Folorunsho (one of the occupants of the vehicle) who is also an Accident & Emergency Nurse at the St Gerard Catholic Hospital Kaduna, administered First Aid.

“Flying Officer Arotile was confirmed dead by the On-Call Doctor at the 461 NAF Hospital at about 4.45pm on 14 July 2020, as a result of the head injuries.

“The trio of Messrs Nehemiah Adejoh, Igbekele Folorunsho and Festus Gbayegun were immediately detained at the Air Provost Wing, 453 Base Services Group Kaduna as investigations began. They were subjected to Toxicology Tests at the 461 NAF Hospital but no traces of alcohol or psychotropic substances were found in their systems. It was however discovered that the driver of the vehicle, Mr Nehemiah Adejo, did not have a valid driver’s license.

“Having carefully considered the foregoing, the preliminary investigation concluded that: The death of Flying Officer Arotile was caused by blunt force trauma to the head and significant bleeding resulting from being struck by the vehicle."


Daramola affirmed that the case would be transferred to the police for further investigation.

Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Elon Musk And Bill Gates Twitter Accounts Hacked after dozens of prominent accounts were hijacked and displayed scam messages requesting transfers of bitcoin to an anonymous account controlled by the hackers.

The attack unfolded on Wednesday evening, with the affected accounts including presidential candidate Joe Biden, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West.

Former President Barack Obama, the most popular account on Twitter with more than 120 million followers, was also targeted, as were the corporate accounts of Apple and Uber.

In an urgent response to the breach, Twitter took the unprecedented step of temporarily blocking all verified accounts from tweeting. Shares in the company fell nearly 4 percent in after-hours trading.

The widespread and coordinated nature of the attack led some experts to speculate that a Twitter employee with administrative access had been hacked, or that a flaw in the login process was being exploited.

A Twitter spokesperson declined to immediately offer specifics on how the attack unfolded when reached by DailyMail.com.

Although individual Twitter accounts have been briefly breached in the past using stolen passwords, the scale of Wednesday's attack was unprecedented.

Tattoos can be temporal or permanent and it seems Chidinma's is temporal. Tattoos are for body beautification where a design is made by inserting ink, dyes and pigments, either indelible or temporary, into the dermis layer of the skin.

Some people see tattoos as bad because there is breaking of the skin barrier, tattooing carries inherent health risks, including infection and allergic reaction.

Some people tattoo their bodies because it is fashionable others do it to cover a certain part of their body they are not proud of and some say it low self esteem that leads people to tattoo their bodies.

U.S based Ghanaian rapper Jay Gunz was shot dead during a shoot out in his home in Bronx, New York on Sunday.

The New York Police Department in a post on Twitter showed video evidence of the shoot out. In the post, he wrote, “On Sunday, July 5th, Police Officers from the 44 Precinct responded to a 911 call for a male shot at 306 East 171 Street.

"Upon arrival, they discovered three males with gunshot wounds. Two of the victims, later died from their injuries, while one remains hospitalized.”

According to reports by AmeyawDebrah, the two who died were Jay Gunz and Eno (Edubb). They were pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Jay Gunz is originally from Sekondi and his mother is said to own a popular store in Bronx, New York. Eno also has Nigerian roots, both were rappers.

Deborah Tushima, the makeup artist who allegedly slumped and died on Saturday, July 4, during her birthday celebration, did not die of poisoning, her family member has said.

Deborah is currently the number one trending topic on Twitter as people express shock over her sudden death on her birthday.

According to screenshots of a chat shared by a family friend, a family member said the young makeup artist simply slumped.

They added that she started “fainting” recently and the one that happened at her birthday party and ultimately led to her death was the fourth time she fainted.

The family member said: “Later on we discovered that she has a heart problem that makes her faint, and she has been fainting for some time but neither mum nor dad knew about that.”

The family member added that she died in Makurdi, where she was doing her IT, not in Jos as claimed.

A makeup artist and celebrant slumped and died yesterday, July 4, while dancing at her birthday party.

Deborah Tushima had been counting down to her birthday on her Facebook account. Her birthday came on Saturday, July 4 and she shared new photos of herself on the platform.

She captioned the photos: "So many things to be grateful for, the greatest is the gift of LIFE! Happy birthday to me, pls say a prayer for me."

Unfortunately, she slumped hours later while partying with friends and died.

Friends who had wished her a happy birthday only hours earlier are now mourning her via their respective pages.

I am also physically challenged, and I have several tales of woes to tell, regarding my experience with most Nigerian banks. Oftentimes I was denied entry into the banking hall, simply because I use metal crouch (walking aid) which their security doors would not allow.

Due to social distancing, all banks should provide canopies and seats for their customers and not leave customers waiting under the sun for hours endlessly.

Unfortunately, most public buildings in Nigeria have design deficits when it comes to providing accommodation for the physically challenged people., we need to overcome many things in Nigeria and make it an inclusive society for all.

Tinsel actor, Gideon Okeke, has said that to live as one Nigeria we need to abolish state of origin for national peace.

The actor said this via his social media platform. He said our strength is in our diversity but it is taking too long to accept that.

One thing is to abolish it in the laws, but how do we abolish it in our minds where it is already comfortably engraved?

Juju maestro turned gospel singer, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey has debunked the widespread rumour that he died earlier on Saturday, July 4, in faraway London.

A close ally of the veteran singer, Tope Olukole, who denied the rumour with the wave of the hand saying Baba Obey is not in London but in Nigeria. He noted that though the singer travelled abroad earlier this year, he came into the country before the lockdown and is hale and hearty.

The singer also known as Obey Commander in a video made by his children and shared by one of them who is also a musician, Tolu Obey, was spotted with another of his sons smiling and full of life. The son who was first to speak said: "Praise the Lord! This is Baba Obey here and alive. He is life and direct."

The son went ahead and asked his father to address his fans or sing for them. Obey said: "Well, I give thanks to God almighty, I am hale and hearty, 'ko si nkan to se mi o, alaafia ni mo wa'. I am fine." The son went on to assure his dad's fans that his father is at home right now, with no worries.

President Buhari has applauded a Nigerian man, Ikenna Nweke, who returned a missing wallet containing a huge sum of money as well as a credit card and other valuables in Japan.

The Imo State native, who is a PhD student at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and also a teaching assistant in the same university, said he stumbled on the wallet while climbing the staircase to buy some items for his wife at the Tsukuba center.

“As I drew closer, I saw that it was a wallet. When I opened it, I saw a huge sum of money, a credit card, and other valuables. I immediately reported it to the police.

One of the officers was surprised and asked me why I did not take the money. I told him that there was no need for that because I was raised by responsible parents and that I am also a Christian.

He told me that according to Japanese law, I was entitled to 10% of the money found inside the wallet. Again I declined. The look on his face indicated bewilderment,” he said.

Nweke who is married with four kids disclosed the owner of the wallet called him to show appreciation and also got a letter from the Ibaraki/Tsukuba Police.

“They expressed their gratitude towards my incredible and selfless behavior. Not every Nigerian is criminal-minded. There are a lot of Nigerians abroad working so hard to erase the bad name given to “us” by the criminal few,”  Nweke added.

President Buhari also commended Mr. Nweke through his Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad. He said:

New mum and actress, Regina Daniels Nwoko who was criticized after getting married to Married Ned Nwoko has said that her husband looked like a farmer when they met.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Recalling her first impression when she met her husband, the actress said, “Being married to him (Ned Nwoko), I feel free. I can do whatever I want, dress however I like and live my life. He is always pushing me to be a better person. He brings me out there because he wants me to be more exposed. He wants me to see the world in a different way. As a matter of fact, there are so many things I just can’t explain.

“The first impression I had when I met him, which I will keep saying is that he looked like a farmer. We actually went on a tour to his house in the village (Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State) and he was so polite and educative. He wants one to know about nature and the world in general. He wants one to experience different things, so he was always trying to educate us on that particular visit.”

Groom dies in India after infecting more than 100 guests as his family didn't heed his request to postpone the wedding ceremony.

According to the Hindustan Times, the man, a 30-year-old software engineer developed diarrhea and a high fever before his June 15 wedding, but his family forced him to swallow a painkiller and go through with the ceremony, attended by more than 360 people in Paliganj.

48 hours later, his condition worsened and he died on the way to a hospital, according to the news outlet. His body was quickly cremated without being tested for the coronavirus.




As a result of the man's death, all of his close relatives were tested for the virus on June 19 and 15 were confirmed to be positive.




In a desperate attempt to prevent the spread of the disease, a camp was set up where samples were taken from the other attendees. Of those, 86 have tested positive, officials said Tuesday.

“Even though he was feeling unwell by June 14 and wanted the wedding deferred, family heads from both sides advised against it, citing huge financial losses if the arrangements had to be canceled,” a relative said to Hindustan Times.




Another relative, who tested negative, said no one suspected that the groom had COVID-19.
“As rural areas are almost COVID-free, we were relaxed,” the relative told the news outlet.

"By the day of the wedding, he was running a high temperature, raising some concerns among his relatives, who “prayed that it was not COVID infection,” the relative said.

“He performed all the pre-wedding functions after taking Paracetamol,” he added, referring to the brand name for over-the-counter acetaminophen.




Community official Chiranjeev Pandey said: “Our first priority now is to prevent the infection and break the chain. We have sealed parts of the neighboring Meetha Kuan, Khagari and some parts of the sub-urban marketplace of Paliganj.”

A Trust Fund for the children of slain Olamide Alli, who was murdered by her fiancé, Chris Ndukwe, has exceeded the 20 Million Naira target.

Olamide was murdered by her fiance, Chris who also killed himself leaving their two kids a 7 and 3-year-old to their fate. Olamide visited er fiance with her two kids on a weekend not knowing it was her last journey

AGS Tribe, a women entrepreneurial empowerment community Olamide belonged to before she was brutally killed by her fiancé Chris Ndukwe, decided to set up a trust fund for the two children she left behind - aged 7 and 3.

In one week, 22 million Naira has been raised, surpassing the 20 million Naira target. 5 million Naira out of the money raised was from a single donor.
