As much as smartphone OEM still exist, you cannot really question the direction to which designs are heading to nowadays. Everyone wants to stand out from the crowd and give their consumers plenty to brag about Think of the "iPhone and Android users war" that is sure not ending any day yet, or Android smartphones customizing the Android OS just to make their users feel on top. Folding phones might seem to be the way forward, not until someone BAGGS the mobile industry with another crazy design! *LOL* However, y reservations are about the plastic/glass used in building the screens. Rumour has it that some of the glass screens are *bendable* for up to 2,000times. So, invariably after exceeding that amount the folding flex is likely to start experiencing glitches.... Anyways, na dem sabi :-) I'd love to know your thought like, what problem is this new invention going to solve, what is the essence of the foldable phone that is very expensive? what values will it add? Maybe I am not seeing things the right way, anyone care to explain the values of a foldable phone? FP Biko!

I thought they've decided to start making cheeseburgers or producing car tyres but...they are still making phones. Chinese smartphone maker Gionee, who reportedly filed for bankruptcy a couple of months ago, and steadily on the decline in a whimper has secretly launched the Gionee F205 Pro, a new budget smartphone in Indian market that seems to be a slightly upgraded version of last year’s Gionee F205, which was launched in India back in April. Having seen off-industry issues skyrocket in the past year, a drastic loss in the market pool, and unarguably many expecting a point of no return for the Chinese smartphone giant, there might still be some tank left in the engine though. Here are the Specs and Features to their new phone[/hr] * 5.45-inch HD+ display * 720×1440 pixels * 18:9 aspect ratio * 5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739WW SoC * 2GB of RAM * 16GB of inbuilt storage (256GB expandable) * Android 8.1 Oreo OS * 13-megapixel rear camera * 5-megapixel selfie camera * 3,000mAh capacity battery Not SO bad in a tech year where we are already getting our hands messy with folding phones and on the rise towards the advent of 5G connectivity to our cities. Welcome back Gionee! **Can they come back to challenge TECNO or even Itel? That one is talk for another day. https://www.trillionclues.com/2019/02/gionee-secretly-launches-f205-pro.html

So It’s that time of the year once again when consumer tech companies and OEM's, in general, embark on yet another journey of exciting new technology products. The #CES2019, and we at Trillionclues just stumbled on something new from DELL. With Tim Cook and Apple working on quite exotic Mac Book year after year, no doubt major companies have had to hide under the cover or even get relegated to the background but not Dell, who is getting out ahead of the big CES event with the announcement of its new commercial Latitude 7400 2-in-1 laptop. You sure will not believe the size. Here’s a quick look at some of the specs for the Dell Latitude 7400: * 8th-gen Intel Core Whiskey Lake Processor * Up to 16GB LPDDR3 SDRAM * 256GB up to 2TB SSD * Two USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports, SD 4.0 memory card reader * 52/72Wh Battery usable up to active 24hrs * CNC-machined aluminium unibody * Fingerprint reader, FIPS 201 Smart Card Reader, NFC, Windows Hello IR * Stereo Speaker with MaxxAudio Pro Dell explained that the sensor will have to detect a nearby user; up to 5 feet away and wakes the computer which then uses Windows Hello IR to log them in by detecting their face once the laptop is opened. Basically, a laptop wakes up when the screen is either opened for ones set on auto-hibernate or when the power button is pressed, depending on the power settings. But with the Dell Latitude 7400 unique feature, the computer screen will already be awake, up and requesting for a task by the time you might have taken your seat, entirely shaving a few seconds off the login process. According to Dell, the 14-inch speculated 2-in-1 laptop is 25 per cent smaller than their previous model and weighs in at a SLIM 3 POUNDS making it unarguably "the smallest commercial 2-in-1 laptop on the market" right now. [b] The thread wasn't entirely made to mock Dell for making a 3 Pound laptop but hey..... that's not light enough! https://www.trillionclues.com/2019/01/dell-latitude-7400-2-in-1-review.html

We pulled up on geeky things you can do on a non-smartphone that you ain't doing now or never even had the clue that you could. From being able to uninstall pre-installed Android apps to taking phone screenshots. Recall, ages when Android enthusiasts were made to make do with relatively inferior devices to do things that Android doesn’t allow by default? Smartphone activities like being able to uninstall pre-installed Android apps, take phone screenshots, etc. So, today we pulled up on Five geeky things you can do on a non-smartphone that you ain't doing now or never even had the clue that you could (Hahaha don't kee mee for this ).Connect to VPNs I usually see Virtual Private Networks - VPN's as the spice of the internet! If you want to connect your Android to a VPN—say, home or work VPN, you need not root your Android or consider installing a VPN client like you once did. If your Android doesn’t, you can go into the Settings menu, tap More under Wireless & Networks, and tap VPN. You’ll be able to add and edit multiple VPN profiles. On Oreo, you’ll find the VPN option in the Network & Internet menu. Always be sure of network you are connecting to as some public networks are very harmful to your device while others even go as far as stealing your data. Disable Preinstalled Apps Most times, smartphone manufacturers or carrier would just leave a crap of an app or certain stuff on your phone that didn’t matter. You were stuck with it unless you rooted your handset. Think about the System32 folder on computers! Now, however, you can easily disable preinstalled applications right from your Android settings or even an external app altogether, though it’s possible some manufacturers may disable this feature on their devices. To disable a preinstalled application, * Open Android’s Settings screen *Select Apps *Flick over to the All category and tap the app you want to disable in the list. The Disable button may not be available for some essential packages that are part of the Android OS, but you can disable default apps like the Calendar, Gallery, and Clock. You can even disable Android’s built-in keyboard (though that is not advisable). Take Screenshots ![]() Its always like a luxury to Android users if you get the access to share your smartphone screen activities with friends and other individuals, well, not luxury anymore. Recall back then, you could always take screenshots by connecting your Android smartphone or tablet to your computer, or gain the privilege yourself by rooting your Android (ah no say dem never born you thadt time ).It's more a tradition nowadays: press volume down and power at the same time on your smartphone to take a screenshot (or the home button and power on Galaxy devices with physical buttons). And poof—a screencap ready to share with the world. Amazing stuff! That is it. Let us know in the comment section if there is anyone we left out on this list by suggesting yours. And Keep the fun rolling! Curated from:https://www.trillionclues.com/2018/10/geeky-android-practices-for-nonrooted-smartphone.html

With October slowly winding down (this is the second week if you ain't aware) we at Trillionclues ran a close roundup of best Android apps you are ever gonn catch on with this month and here are our top picks for the Best Android Apps of the month!NB: As usual, for conversation purposes, I will be dropping only three of the best, get the rest on Trillionclues Your Hour Try guessing this app function before reading through this piece and you sure would be reeling at yourself a thousand times cos' you are never going to get it right. In a short piece, "Your Hour" Android app is a mobile usage tracker which keeps check of all activities performed on your smartphone device during a given time span. A remedy/threat to Instagram and Facebook freaks, it comes with many amazing features and functions that help you utilize your mobile wisely. You also get the option of setting time usage limit for any apps at which if its time elapses would be unable to run or process tasks. Idea Note If you are a note taker, this app is definitely for you... Note taking Android applications that are unique and stand out from the crowd might often be hard to come by - take about the default NoteBook app present in your smartphone now. It is quite a fun app to use as you get to take note with just gesture swipe from any side of your smartphone home screen. On comes list of floating pills of your old note which you can either preview, edit or tap on and start composing a new note outright. The feature comes handy as "unique ideas" often don't last long in the human memory, so what do you do? Just have a swipe from any side of your smartphone home screen and have a note of it straight away. The bonus point is that you also get to talk note not just a text but also using speech recognition which many customization settings to help you to your desired taste. NoxPlayer Emulator I don't know why, but I always leave the best for the last and this is no exception. NOXPLAYER "Android app" is an android emulator that when installed, lets you run Android apps and games on your computer device of choice. Just think to have your typical Android smartphone window and functions on our computer without making use of "Bluestacks". When installed on your computer, open up an android emulator window running on the Android KitKat (4.4.2) version - though still pretty low, the idea behind android emulator sure isn't about android version but ability to run Android apps and games per say. Fortnight, PUBG, Pro Evolution Soccer, Clash of clans etc. With usual navigation buttons just like your normal Android device, inbuilt Google play store for app installations - a no-brainer. You can also use the 'local installer" which involves dragging and dropping your already downloaded apk file from your computer File Explorer straight to the emulator app. The "Big bonus", its gaming supports ranging from anything keyboard, gamepad, script recording and multiple instances. Use all of them at the same time! *In NoxPlayer tone* Anything's possible! You need to drop your current Android emulator app and give this a trial straight away. Clue-clusion So, that was our clue for the top Android app releases for the month of October. Let us know the one app you will be checking out on your Android device today. Are there some other top breakthrough Android apps for the month you think should be on this list or deserve a mention? As always, let us know and for the download link, you always know where to get them. Credit: https://www.trillionclues.com/2018/10/top-android-app-downloads-October.html

It may have been a company that allowed you to download a certain e-Book or something of that nature, but they still send you an email. That was when I started looking for an easy but effective means and clue on how to unsubscribe from all these emails with a few clicks of a button other than doing so one after the other. Then I stumbled on a site named Unroll.me a free online service that instantly scans your email account be it Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook etc. and returns the results in a panel where you can be given the chance to unsubscribe from whatever you want to It is pretty much easy and definitely safe site to use other than unsubscribing from you unwanted emails one time after the other. What do you think? Have you used the site before? Let us know in the comment section. http://www.trillionclues.com/2017/06/how-to-unsubscribe-to-irrelevant-email.html
