Phones / Apple Plans ANOTHER Iphone Launch In 2018 - But Will Be Much Cheaper Than The by TrillionBrains(m): 3:08pm On Nov 30, 2017
Fresh off the recent release of the iPhone X earlier this month in some countries, the Tech gadget giant might be in for another public surprise and Wow!!! reportedly set for a new Apple iPhone launch in the next few months.

No doubt, this has been a very successful year for the gadget giant with the recent release of their numerous Apple series alongside the iPhone X, yet, the prospect of dominating the technology and gadget industry at large away from the immediate competitors will be something they are in a battle to ensure.

It is reported that Apple wants to backtrack on their Budget iPhone SE initially unveiled on March 21, 2016, at Apple's Cupertino HQ's and features a smaller 4-inch screen and the all-metal casing.

It was initially used for the iPhone 5. It comes with a presumably decent camera and is still on sale for £349 - the cheapest iPhone available from Apple. There's no telling on when Apple may reveal the next version of the iPhone SE but gadget watchers reckon it could be in March 2018, a year after the first phone was launched.

Although the outside of the phone may virtually continue to look same like the initially budget SE, Apple will likely have to increase the processor and, possibly, upgrade the camera in an effort to keep the phone current and up to date in line with their recent releases.

With screen sizes on smartphones regularly arriving at between 5 and 6 inches, the option to have a 4-inch phone is a good one for those with smaller hands and pockets.

Rumours have emerged of a new version of the company's "budget" iPhone SE - which would give Apple fans and the entire public a low-priced alternative compared to the £999 all-screen new Apple phone (the iPhone X) which perhaps proved costly to all and sundry.

Generall, the recent surge in the price of their newest iPhone might still prove to be a hard nut to create for all Apple fans and consumers. So, just get your iPhone plans on the way before the year 2018.

Science/Technology / Facebook Charged With Alleged Fake News Call Towards Certain Online Articles by TrillionBrains(m): 12:04pm On Nov 17, 2017
It's become a trend in our everyday world today, either branding online news as either fake, controversial or even illegal - yeah you heard that right? It is a cause which recently, unfortunately, Facebook had to bear with a having been charged in the court of public opinion of internet users for furthering the "fake news" trend by bumping it up higher in many Facebook users’ news feeds.

In a bid to curtail the outflow of untrustworthy sources, the social media giant sought to a difficult task of experimenting with a new concept which looks like proving to hurt to their unfortunate users.

So what did they do - moving up comments and posts that included the words “fake news” so that disputes against and public questions against articles or posts branded "fake" could be more visible. A really bad move?

And Then?

To say it backfired would be a huge understatement. The tech giant who has been at the forefront of many controversial calls like the building/unveiling of their new Andriod phone yet now have another issue to handle.

At the heart of this issue is something that has confounded the site’s users for ages, namely, that some content gets more “weight” and therefore gets featured highest times, hiding some posts and uploads to certain users either through their AI.

It went from bad to worse for them in this case, that Facebook bumped up comments in their news feed which allegedly to them their users had stated the content was fake news.
Lack of scrutiny? Can't just get it.

How believable is this if them (Facebook) are not actually scrutinizing the content of the stories themselves to be able to brand it as either fake or not?”
Point in case!

While Facebook has put an end to that one, the company says it will continue working to fight back against untruthful, “fake” news despite public uproar from the entire public.

I think the flaws are starting to come out a bit. TECH/Gadget HACKS they work hand in hand with each other

Computers / Why You Should Seriously Consider Covering Your Laptop Webcam Today by TrillionBrains(m): 12:05pm On Nov 13, 2017
You might say you don't need it. Who is going to hack you? and besides what is the hacker even seeking to get in your life? Quite primitive and ignorant minded questions right. Here are the facts that should lead you into covering that webcam on that computer of yours.

tongue Even the most sophisticated experts and tech geeks [Mark Zuckerberg in this case] agree on this as arguably the safest cybersecurity solution around to help protect against inversion of privacy.

Last year, Mark, Facebook founder, was pictured with a covering to his laptop during a photo presentation on Twitter (He even does it) grin. He had a tape over his webcam and microphone and almost certainly has the same paranoid feeling we do over hackers and privacy invaders.
What do you expect? The picture quite went viral and in a bid to back that notion up, FBI director James Comey a month later admitted that offices in the US government should also cover up their webcams and microphone against attacks.

Situations like couples caught on camera making love in a room (IT 2016 movie) have been witnessed. This could not have been possible had they covered the laptop webcam which was facing directly to them. So why would you not do it?

Assuming you're not a spy, hacker, government executive worker or even the chief executive of a multi-billion dollar company, do you really need to panic about an individual spying on you through your laptop's camera or even through the microphone when at work or at home?
The answer, according to many tech experts, is yes.

In the year 2013, a hacker told BBC Radio 5 Live that access to a woman's webcam costs about a dollar and that he had access to 500 computers. Could you imagine that!!!

The following year, a voyeuristic website popped up online, featuring live streams from thousands of webcams located in 250 countries around the world. As it turned out, the owners of these webcams had all made the same simple mistake - they never changed the device's default password nor sort the option of covering up their laptop webcam to prevent this event and likely bugs from occurring.

Smartphones, tablets, smart speakers, web-connected home security cameras (CCTV's) and smart TVs are also vulnerable to hacking and privacy inversion - and the vast majority have little or no security protection that comes with it. Also, with the feeling that these whole devices and gadgets are been run with literally poor password information on them, exposure to hacks is a huge certainty.

Technology might just be an amazing discovery with its hilarious breakthroughs and eye-boggling inventions, but it might as well cost us much and peace of life entirely if we continue being ignorant of these or even using them the wrong way.

Webmasters / Ever Heard Of The Dial-up Mode? Just Another Of Google's Hilarious Inventions by TrillionBrains(m): 3:44pm On Nov 03, 2017
As we all know Google Inventions has really extended their known impact on the entire human race at large from their search engine system to their Email service which you and I are huge beneficiaries of. Known for their quest to bring about fast internet connectivity, yet the reverse is just the case with the release of the dial-up mode.

Well, well, well, I just got to discover another quite absurd invention by the Google fiber team known as the DIAL-Up Mode. Permit me if you already know about it - just skip and pass Big Grin Big Grin

Dial-up they say is another adventurous quest by Google to gave their users more time to do the little things in life like; prepare a cup of coffee, grab a snack or run to the restroom by just employing the power of slowness – sounds quite NEGATIVE.

This is possible by incorporating the dial-up technology into the fibre thereby slowing down the photons by a maximum 376 times giving you more time to perform your miscellaneous activities.

I even saw a case study where a certain applicant escaped embarrassment by just turning on the dial-up mode. You might be anxious how? Yes, he was asked a pretty difficult question on air which he could not answer, all he did was to turn on the DIAL-Up mode which had his image pixellated (i.e the video system or you can say Blurred it) and Boom! the Interview was rescheduled - Quite Amazing isn't it?

You can turn on the Dial-up mode on your browser at the top right-hand corner.

Got any other one you discovered of late? We will like to hear them in the comment section
