If you are an online vendor or you patronize them, especially in the decluttering business, you need to be very careful this period. Scammers are everywhere.

Just last night, one of them scammed a client of ₦300,000. I’m posting his number:+234 916 684 9262 - because this person has been using the same number to scam others for a while. When you check it on Truecaller, it even shows up as “Scammer,” with several people reporting him for similar frauds.

He acts as a middle man who has a client and post real vendors items for ridiculously cheap prices( They Prey on Your Greed)... That way, costumers will flood. He will then ask you for real address to send to the client who will see the item then pay to Him.

There are different ways they do this scam. Some will even pose as owners allow them pay to a reliable vendor who will then wire the money to them as the fake owner meanwhile the original owner is in the house there.

This particular scammer is still very active, boldly using his WhatsApp line, which makes me suspect he uses a different line for calls so it can’t be traced. He probably feels untouchable because he’s been doing this for long — but his time will soon be up, and his disgrace will be loud.

✅ Here’s what you should do:

If anyone requests your phone number, address, or sensitive details, take a moment to vet them — no matter how busy you are.

Check their Facebook profile carefully before giving out details.

Use Truecaller to verify suspicious numbers.

Always reconfirm before sending sensitive information.

There are people on Facebook whose only goal is to scam vendors and innocent buyers. We must all be vigilant.
