Nemesis2u, Nigeria is by no means a 3rd world country, we do have multiple challenges but we are not a 3rd world Nation. Our GDP is over $540 billion, the largest in Africa and the 23rd largest in the world. We are classified as a middle-income economy.


Perhaps you've never been to Nigeria, here are some images of the country.

we are not close to being a developed nation and those cities you posted lack infrastructures to qualify for a developed city.

Web development is a large field. Go through this thread.

CSS is for design. It describes how the website looks. It's like Saclux paint for websites . Django is for backend applications, same as php.

Programming is a skillset, not a language. Each language has its own strengths and weaknesses. Some are better when you design apps that will do lots of processing on huge data set. Learn how to break problems down and then create a solution.

For example, I can design a basic calculator app with JS, Java or Python. If it's a web app, I'll probably pick JS. I might use Java or Python if I choose to design for desktop.

Python is a solid programming language for beginners and learners. I'd say only you can limit yourself. Python is becoming popular in data science, and also ethical hacking.
If you're interested in web development, Django is a Python framework used in web development. Think of frameworks as a language built on the language to make it easier. Na so I sabi explain am o.

I'd say start with Python. HTML and CSS aren't difficult to learn. I personally don't consider them programming languages.

i'm new to programming and i've been learning python. before i started, one pro like that told me that python is useless in Nigeria that i should learn c#, saying it's more useful.

the thing is that c# is too complex for a newbie like me with no programming knowledge.
so thank my stars that i did some reserch on my own and decided to stick to python.

my question is how far will i go with python(i intend to go in so deep that i may not have time to learn other languages like java c# etc..)? although i want to learn php, css and mysql for web developmet.
