How can you be that sure?
Politics / Excerpts From Al-qaeda Manifesto Left In Timbuktu: Any Lesson For Nigeria? by Truequest(m): 9:28am On Feb 15, 2013
The excerpts below are from a confidential letter from the emir of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, Abdelmalek Droukdel, to his fighters in Mali, that the AP found on the floor of a building they occupied in Timbuktu.

"This project, vital and very important to us and to our jihad, is in this very sensitive and dangerous phase, which requires us all to give it particular care and to prepare the ground for success..."

"The aim of building these bridges is to make it so that our Mujahedeen are no longer isolated in society....And if we can achieve this positive thing in even a limited amount, then even if the project fails later, it will be just enough that we will have planted the first, good seed in this fertile soil and put pesticides and fertilizer on it, so that the tree will grow more quickly. We look forward to seeing this tree as it will be: Stable and magnificent."

"One of the wrong policies that we think you carried out is the extreme speed with which you applied Shariah, not taking into consideration the gradual evolution that should be applied in an environment that is ignorant of religion, and a people which hasn't applied Shariah in centuries. And our previous experience proved that applying Shariah this way, without taking the environment into consideration will lead to people rejecting the religion, and engender hatred toward the Mujahedeen, and will consequently lead to the failure of our experiment."

"It is very important that we view our Islamic project in Azawad as a small newborn, with many phases ahead of it that it must pass through to grow and mature. The current baby is in its first days, crawling on its knees, and has not yet stood on its two legs. So is it wise that we start now to lay burdens on it that will inevitably prevent it from standing on its own two feet and perhaps even smother it?!! If we really want it to stand on its own two feet in this world full of enemies waiting to pounce, we must ease its burden, take it by the hand, help it and support it until it stands."

Sports / Re: Why Eagles Will Win AFCON – Practical Analyses By Orji Uzor Kalu by Truequest(m): 4:23pm On Feb 13, 2013
When I saw this post the first thing I looked for was the date of the publication, then I checked the response from others and I was not disappointed, very pessimistic responses. Then by February 6th tone changed, I'm not his fan but he was on right on point. I must commend his boldness to have put his reputation at stake with such audacious prediction, knowing that countries like CIV, Ghana and host others were all in the same tournament.

@Oluwadare What if his club had ordered him to return because of that game? As a coach would you have fielded such a player, considering jet lag and all the stress that go with such a long journey?

Sports / Efe Ambrose: European Clubs Disregard For AFCON by Truequest(m): 10:28am On Feb 13, 2013
I watched with utter disbelief the inclusion of Nigerian international Efe Ambrose in the Celtic squad that lost to Juventus on Tuesday in Uefa Champions League. Ambrose was not only included in the squad but the lad was played all through the duration of the match. And commentators and analyst took turns to blame him for mistakes that lead to two of the goals conceded.

This is a lad that has just ended a gruesome tournament on Sunday night in far away South Africa, he may have possible arrived Scotland on Monday, then Tuesday he was in the starting eleven for a game against the Italian giants.

My questions are; Is it fair to blame this lad for being tired?

soloqy: If you cant sort it out from the source, that is from php.ini file, you can try logging on to joomla backend .

Login to joomla admin, go to global configuration -> Server -> under Server Settings you will see -> Error Reporting. Change the value from 'System default' to 'none' and click save and see if that sorts it.

Thank so much Sology this one did just that, all is fine now I really appreciate your time and patience.
Slyr0x thanks for your concern also, I really appreciate you guys

soloqy: Maybe you should turn error_reporting to off in php in Xammp.

In php.ini file (which is inside php folder inside Xammp), search and find : error_reporting = "" , and change to error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED .

Also find display_errors = On and change it to display_errors = Off .

Save the file, stop and restart your xammp server or the apache module.

I hope the bots wont ban me or hide my post .

Thanks Sology for your help, but I did all that stuff but it still did not change

soloqy: What version of Xammp did you install?

Did you install it to run as a service or not?

There are different PHP versions in the different xammp versions.

If you are using joomla 2.5 , you are better off installing the latest Xammp build.

I use Xammp as well and no problems with joomla 2.5

I use xampp 1.7.7 I had to download a fresh one yesterday

here is the errors I got on the homepage

Politics / UK Warns Of Possible Easter Terror Attack In Nigeria by Truequest(m): 5:58pm On Apr 05, 2012
The United Kingdom is warning its citizens of a "high threat" of a terrorist attack in Nigeria around the Easter holiday.

The Foreign Office issued the updated travel warning Thursday, noting that a radical Islamist sect in Nigeria known as Boko Haram carried out attacks on Christmas Day. A sect-claimed car bombing at a Catholic church outside of Nigeria's capital that day killed at least 44 people.

The Foreign Office warning also advised against travel to seven states in Nigeria's Muslim north. It offered no further details about the Easter threat.

Boko Haram is waging an increasingly bloody fight against Nigeria's weak central government. The sect's demands include implementation of strict Shariah law and the release of all its detained members.

Education / Moremi Hall Blown Away, One Person Killed In Lagos Early Morning Storm. by Truequest(m): 11:58am On Feb 13, 2012
The roof of the famous Moremi Hall in the University of Lagos has been blown away as an early morning thunderstorm wrecked havoc across Lagos.

Reports from across the city said many people were injured and property worth millions of naira destroyed,as a result of the torrential rain left Lagosians who were already on their way to work scampering for safety.

Commuters along the Lekki-Ajah expressway have complained about having to avoid a lot of debris on their way to Victoria Island.

Meanwhile, one person was reportedly killed and many others injured in the downpour.

The dead person, simply identified as Serifu was said to have been killed by a telecoms mast around the Gordon Barracks area.

At the Third Mainland Bridge, most of the electric poles, bill boards and street lights fell on the road thereby compounding the traffic situation on the bridge.

Let this discussion be between me (the writer) and you (the reader) please don’t tell my NEPA friend! Don’t tell him that I giggled when he told me that they were on strike for the past two weeks. Please don’t tell him that we enjoyed the public power supply during that period like never before.

Dear friend this is no joke, in the area where I work, I had called my ‘NEPA’ friend to resolve issues about the bill they sent to us the previous month. There is a feeling among myself and other colleagues that we were over charged. So I had called him earlier to lodge a complaint, which he promised that they’ll look into.

Two weeks after we spoke I called him again, just to ensure that, the matter was resolved once and for all. That was when he jolted me, he said you should have reminded me before we went on strike and we would have resolved it before the strike. He further said that, they were just resuming.

Dazed, I wondered, strike? So these people had been on strike! Could that explain the steady power supply we had been enjoying the past two weeks?

Foreign Affairs / Arms And Men Out Of Libya Fuelling Mali Rebellion by Truequest(m): 5:48am On Feb 11, 2012
Equipped with heavy weapons from Muammar Gaddafi's looted arsenals, the Tuareg-led rebels who assaulted the town of Aguelhoc in northern Mali last month overwhelmed the remote garrison.

Fighters hardened by combat in Libya swelled the ranks of the desert insurgents who in their first attack on January 18 surrounded the local army base with machinegun-mounted four-wheel drive vehicles. They destroyed army communications, local cellphone towers and laid down a barrage of mortar fire.

After cutting off water supplies and ambushing resupply convoys, they came back a week later to overrun the base.

"They had the advantage of being more numerous, being better armed and having better logistics, including satellite phones," a Malian government soldier who took part in the fighting told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

"It is the sad truth," he added.

As the anniversary of the February 17 uprising against Gaddafi approaches, Mali and other states to the south are paying a price for the revolution by Western-backed insurgents in Libya.

He was a notable opposition leader, who was on the street many years ago protesting against poor government policies. Today it his turn he has refused the honourable path.
Politics / How Boko Haram Strategist Kabiru Sokoto Was Re-arrested by Truequest(m): 5:21am On Feb 11, 2012
Kabiru Sokoto, the Boko Haram strategist who cost the immediate past Inspector General of Police and six of his lieutenants their jobs and put the nation on edge, was re-arrested yesterday hiding behind a rack of drying clothes.

He was caught with his elder brother in a hut at Mutum Biu village in Taraba State.

He had been on the run for 25 days after escaping from a team of policemen who had taken him to Abaji, near Abuja, for a search of his residence.

The policemen were attacked by some youths who freed Kabiru.

The policemen and the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Zakari Biu, investigating the suspect are now under probe over the escape.

The immediate past IGP, Mr. Hafiz Ringim, six of his lieutenants were sacked on account of Kabir Sokoto’s escape.

He is believed to be the mastermind of the Christmas Day bombing of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Madalla.

Foreign Affairs / Senegal's President Wade Brushes Criticism Hits The Road For 3rd Term Vote by Truequest(m): 9:21am On Feb 10, 2012
Senegal leader Abdoulaye Wade, facing a storm of criticism over his third-term presidential bid, rallied voters in the city of Thies on Wednesday evening after days of opposition protests.

About 5 000 supporters gathered in a square of the city 70km east of Dakar for the 85-year-old's second big meeting since the election campaign kicked off on Sunday on the back of riots over his candidacy.

Wearing a blue and gold flowing boubou, reflecting party colours, Wade promised to "eliminate poverty in Senegal" and give greater social security for those aged over 60. Banners demanding a first round win decked the square.

Foreign Affairs / Senegalese Oppositions Sign Pact To Stop Wade's 3rd Term Bid by Truequest(m): 10:14pm On Feb 05, 2012
Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade's main rivals pledged on Saturday to campaign together in an effort to force him to withdraw from an election next month.

The group did not give details on how they would try to prevent Wade from running for a third term in the February 26 vote. But the pledge, a day before campaigning officially opened, underscored rising tensions in a country that has long been an island of stability in West Africa.

Wade's candidacy was approved last week by the country's top legal body, but it has sparked riots on the streets and drawn criticism from foreign donors, especially the United States, which said the bid posed a risk to Senegal's stability.

"We will take part in the election campaign in order to step up the fight ,  to force the withdrawal of the candidacy of Abdoulaye Wade," read a document that was signed by eight of Wade's main rivals.

The group includes music star Youssou N'Dour, whose bid was blocked by the same legal body that signed off on Wade's application; two former prime ministers, Macky Sall and Idrissa Seck; and veteran opposition leaders Moustapha Niasse and Ousmane Tanor Dieng.

UNIFIED FRONT

Wade's rivals have so far struggled to forge a unified front against him. Having himself led street protests before coming to power in 2000, Wade has openly mocked the opposition for failing to mobilise a serious challenge and dismissed foreign criticism.

But his rivals sought to put their divisions behind them.

"We will channel all our efforts to one single, united and targeted campaign: to force Abdoulaye Wade to withdraw his candidacy and to hold an election without him," they said in the statement,

Foreign Affairs / Islamic Awakening Will Sweep Thru Other African Nations -iran Foreign Minister by Truequest(m): 9:08am On Jan 30, 2012
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has said that the Islamic awakening that has happened in North Africa will sweep other African nations and lead them to restore their human dignity and achieve political and economic independence.

Africa is attaining a higher status in the world day by day, Salehi said on the sidelines of the 18th Ordinary Session of the Summit of the African Union in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa on Saturday.

The summit opened on January 23 and closes on January 30.

The African Union is an old union whose role in the international arena is getting more and more important, Salehi stated.

He added that African countries may have not developed in many areas but in the political area they are highly developed, and the summit held in the African Union headquarters is indicative of the fact that most African leaders attach high significance to the union.

Commenting on the importance of African nations to Iran, he said that since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran has tried to expand relations with African nations.

Foreign Affairs / Thousands In Senegal Protest As Court Grant Wade Right To Seek 3rd Term by Truequest(m): 7:47am On Jan 28, 2012
Riots have erupted in the Sengalese capital of Dakar, leaving a policeman dead, as angry protesters took to the streets after a court cleared President Abdoulaye Wade's tilt at a highly disputed third term in office.

The African nation's Constitutional Council gave the 85-year-old the green light to run in February 26 polls, sparking anger among opponents who accuse him of fiddling with the constitution to serve his own interests.

Amid the resulting unrest, Wade in turn told his opponents to stop throwing "temper tantrums".

The five-judge council rejected the candidacy of music icon Youssou Ndour, who warned of rising tension in the country and vowed to challenge his disqualification.

While the international community appealed for calm in one of Africa's most stable democracies, violence spread through the seaside capital on Friday night as rioters engaged in running battles with police, setting alight tyres and shops.

"They killed a policeman," Dakar police commissioner Arona Sy told AFP of clashes between police and demonstrators, without saying how he died.

Thousands had gathered peacefully at the Place de l'Obelisque in the working-class suburb of Colobane all day ahead of Friday's highly anticipated ruling.

Foreign Affairs / Anti Corruption Crusader Calls Ghana President A Disgrace by Truequest(m): 6:18am On Jan 23, 2012
Anti-corruption crusader and NPP MP for Asikuma-Odoben Brakwa, Hon P.C Appiah Ofori has hit back at attempts to tag him a “disgraceful” parliamentarian after he exposed his ignorance regarding how and when the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) became the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) saying President Mills best deserves that accolade.

The Enquirer newspaper on Monday published that the anti-graft campaigner appears to be losing steam in his known uprightness when he goofed big time by claiming that the SFO was changed to EOCO to cover up crimes perpetrated by government officials.

According to the newspaper, the NPP MP claimed on Radio Gold that he (P.C) was not even aware of the Act that paved way for the change of name and the enhanced powers of the EOCO as against that of the SFO.

“EOCO, the way it has been set up, I, Appiah Ofori will not have confidence in it, because it is going to be manipulated by the President to cover up his misdeeds,

A whistleblower whose identity was disclosed to a private equity firm he accused of corruption has been offered an unreserved apology by the government.

British-born Nigerian campaigner Dotun Oloko, who lives in Brighton, provided the Department for International Development (DfID) with information concerning the alleged misuse of aid cash in 2009.

Despite securing guarantees that the source of the complaints would not be revealed, documents that allowed his real name to be identified were passed on to the firm by officials.

As a result he was targeted by private investigators employed and told BBC2's Newsnight that he feared "retribution" if he returned to Nigeria.
