NYSC / Re: Best State For Prospective Corp Member To Serve In Nigeria by Trupz: 6:03pm On Apr 11, 2023
SmallDick99:
I will advise u chose Bayelsa.

Nice place with oil money

Pls kindly ignore this. I thought same after school and actually worked my service to Bayelsa. I believed that since it was an upcoming state, with a relatively small population and lots of oil money allocation, it would be an ideal place to serve and start life afterward.
I in fact regret wasting one year of my life there. The liberality and hospitality of the people are the only positives one may get there. Other aspects of life especially economic are dead and you may leave there in no way better than you went.

Their grounds are not fertile, hence, food is costly. The people aren't industrious, salary sharing is the mainstay of their economy, the people are somewhat crass, you could be tossed to the remote island locations. There are many things that could go wrong.

While some may see opportunities in bad setups, I believe it's better to give oneself a head start in life.

Bayelsa should be doing really well but their governors and leaders aren't thinking.

Can I move all my current Spotify playlists to YouTube music?

I am not sure you can move playlists between the two apps
Music/Radio / Re: Which Is Your Favourite Online Music Streaming App And Why? A General Review by Trupz: 8:42pm On Apr 04, 2023
YouTube Music by a thousand miles.
Firstly because I'm able to use same subscription for YouTube videos. Secondly, cos its music queuing/suggestion is much more apt than Spotify and Apple Music (used those ones too). Another is the ability to switch YouTube videos into just audios.
The search filter on YouTube music is also more distinctive as that on YouTube music helps you to look up the search term under artist, song, playlist and so on.

I started music streaming with Spotify, then Apple music, then YouTube Music. Have had to return to Spotify as I was unable to renew my YouTube subscription due the Naira debit card restrictions. This has made me appreciate YouTube music more.

Religion / Re: Is Heaven Made For Christians Only? by Trupz: 11:47am On Sep 11, 2022
icewinz:
Heaven was made for everyone, but is inhabited by those who respond to salvation.

If you believe in the christain world view, and uphold the Bible as having supreme authority. Then you will realize anyone who refuses to meet God's requirement for salvation - Christ. Will go to hell and it will not be because God wants them to perish but because the have willfully rejected God's provision for forgiveness.

PS: Being born in a christain home does not mean you are saved. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour is what does.

What about Muslims, Hindus, Judaists, Buddhists etc. Are they all going to burn in hell?

Eastcoastboy:
I can vividly recall that faithful Afternoon.
Went to visit a friend and you know how it's when guys are around now, vibes and cruise. All man were dishing out jokes, gist, OT et al...

Until it got to that moment one of the guy started ranting that the loud(weed) he ordered since money is yet to get to him! Omoh! I shock. With the way the guy was ranting you would think it's his last supper he was talking about.

Finally the weed arrived. They wrapped it and lit the stuff and started puffing and passing it round when it got to my turn I collected it and passed it to the next guy. Boom! It was as if I committed an abomination. cheesy imagine oh!
They now asked me why am I not smoking and to be honest I felt I had "falled hand" and the only defense I could come up with at that moment was that I'm not in the mood to smoke. Omoh! Men begin laugh. Chai! As per OG like me nah say I fall hands.

It took me a while to get over that experience and not blame myself for not fitting in.

Looking back now, I'm grateful I don't smoke because whenever I recall what drug abuse has done to one vibrant and intelligent lad I used to know I will just be grateful for the decision I took.

How is this relevant
What is your point?
We should be aiming for ZERO and using everything inside Nigeria instead and if possible buying from Qatar.
I do not see what your point is really

Apparently you're an absolutist with flagrant disregard of other people's reasonable opinions and rationality in general.
Now, Nigeria may have have a great population and potential great energy needs. However, Nigeria with its existing infrastructure and level of industrialization may not consume all of the energy produced. Nigeria actually needs to sell its excess energy to raise capital for infrastructural developments including in the industrial/manufacturing sectors. One may say that we should be looking at developing the economy with the abundance of energy resources which we have and that would be a reasonable point but not to say we should use everything and even import from Qatar. To what end please.
Many developing and developed economies like Russia, Australia, Norway, Qatar are still gas exporters and some of these countries are even net energy exporters.
Be calming down brother. No one knows it all and one can correct or educate another without being dismissive and conceited.

All this rigmarole of rants is because you were proved wrong on your pontifications about the local LNG market in Nigeria.

Interesting convo all along. Thanks for the education. I admit learning from this thread today. I had always thought there were no domestic LNG markets and somehow wasn't convinced about Greenville's operations (presuming it was LPG they actually transport) till I went through their website.
It's a shame the fellow that was so bashful and condescending of another on the topic would not drop his haughtiness and add this to his knowledge.

Goes to show that developmental progresses are actually being made in the country although they may not be on such scales as we wish and many of us are not aware of these developments.

Kudos for your persistence in getting this knowledge across
Crime / Re: Househelp Who Fled With Her Madam's Son In Lagos Arrested In Ogun by Trupz: 11:07pm On Jan 04, 2022
Here's the full plot...

That househelp may have undergone torrid times under her madam and desperately wanted out. She hence weighed various options on how to flee and came up with that; to take the madam's child and lie to be the child's elder sister with dead parents. Raise enough money with the child and transport herself home with the proceeds from the begging.

Yeah, I'm aware of that but luckily, the tsx recommends premium unleaded petrol RON 91 or higher but doesn't necessarily require it. Our gas spec is unleaded RON 90, hence the addition of a good octane booster should do the job.

Overzealous, fanatic religious folks are often very judgemental people. How sure are you that OP and his girlfriend are into premarital sex and all that?
Don't be quick to judge or cast aspersions on others. That's not even the Jesus way(who you all claim to know and represent).

Examine your intentions and perspectives always. E get why

Health / Re: HELP: How Do I Manage Bleeding Hemorrhoids? by Trupz: 3:09pm On Jun 17, 2020
I pray you get healed soonest OP.
Here are a few things that may help...
1. Get anusol cream(not suppositories) and apply to the anus in the morning and night and after every bowel movement. Relieved pain and helps blood clotting.
2. You may begin to drink liquid paraffin regularly to help soften your stool (be sure to take the right dosage)
3. Eat lots of vegetables and fibrous foods.
4. Do away with excessive sugar
5. Always use water instead of tissue paper
6. Drink lots of water and other healthy fluids.

You may need a serious lifestyle shift in handling this.
