My priest informed us a while back that tithing is a Jewish law. When we Catholics tithe, it's not after the manner Pentecostals follow. My point is Catholic tithe is only called tithe for naming sakes. We don't believe you rob God if you don't pay such. Our priests are not Levites, so why bother with it?
