zexy2030:No vex o. But no be you open thread dey ask how virgins dey menstruate? Since you dont fully understand women, that should be why. Dont pick on her for commenting on this thread. She was just asking a general question and i am sure she is in good spirits Thanks |
AlphaMogul:thanks for your mature analysis. I respect your composure and line of thought. |

Nadaken:I will be brief with you. I am using your quotes to explain the logic behind the story to you as you are bent on twisting simple english readings. Your ability to quote Bible passages means zilch if you don't know the story behind those passages. It also doesn't lend credence to you. Passover is a celebration that lasts only 7 days. Stop quoting passover rituals as a justification for claiming jews don't eat yesterday's food. Following this logic, that means muslims too should eat ram every day or sango worshippers should kill dogs every time they wake up. As you claim to be a christian, you have a very poor knowledge of the passover. During ramaddan, muslims fast. Does that mean all muslims must go without food forever? Do you even take alcohol? Even up till today, when do people generally drink in the world? No be after work? Does that mean drinks suddenly loose their alcohol contents during the day? I asked you to prove that the drinks of the Bible times didn't contain alcohol but you have rambled on. Have you attended a real wedding recently? Do people wait until night to serve alcohol or immediately food is being served? Let me explain slowly to you. The time of the day does not change the alcoholic contents of drinks. The wine served during the wedding story was alcoholic. If you claim otherwise, share proofs. Stop trying those church tricks here where you quote only one small portion of the bible and add your own interpretations. You have not answered my questions.... I will ask again: What is the name of the herbal drink you claim Timothy took? Show me any portion of the Bible that proves that Jesus and the Jews of his time took non-alcoholic wines. Tell us what happens to food that is not consumed same day in Isreal since you claim they don't eat yesterday's food. |
Nadaken:I find it sarcastic that i have to explain the Bible to you but i will. Religious pundits always like quoting a small part of the whole story to support their theories. Which food in particular was Moses addressing? The fabled manna that fell. Don't twist it beyond that. Have you jewish friends? Have you even been inside a jewish home? Have you eaten kosher food? You have not possibly yet you want to sound like an authority on jewish rites. What do jews store inside their fridges? When quoting the wedding miracle story. Please read carefully. The passage you quoted is clear. The party MC was commenting that the normal thing is to first serve the good wine when people were still sober before bringing out the general cheap wines when they could not decipher the tastes anymore. He was asking why they kept the good wine till after people had gotten drunk. Read the passage again slowly and apply common sense. In the bible times, there was nothing called non-alcoholic wine. The bible never mentioned it once. All wine was alcoholic. You were either drinking juice from grapes or taking wine...no middle ground. Evidently, Jesus and every other person at that period took wine. What do you think people did on Sabbaths? Kindly mention the name of the herbal drink you claim Timothy took. Don't beat around the bush on this one.. mention the name. Since you claim the Bible translators were wrong in explicitly calling it a wine instead of your invented herbal drink theory. Once again, wine in the bible times was alcoholic. Prove me wrong by quoting relevant sources to back your claim that Jesus and other Jews took 'non-alcoholic' wines. PS: Attached is a meat shop in Tel-Aviv. What do you think happens to all the meat when they close in the evening since you said they don't eat yesterday's food?

Nadaken:Please don't exhibit online ignorance. Wine is part of jewish rituals. There is even a kosher wine which differs from other wines only because it was not worked on during the sabbath. Choose your arguments carefully and do research before responding. any wine that is marketed as non-alcoholic is by definition a sparkling drink....a drink that mimics a real wine but is not. |
Nadaken:Oxford defines wine as "an alcoholic drink made from fermented grape juice." Let no man deceive you. Non alcoholic wine is a modern invention by the business industry to appeal to the myopic tastes of people who don't want alcohol and who still want to pretend to be taking wine. Every single reference of wine even in the bible was of the alcoholic variety, despite all attempts to literally water it down. Even the wedding story showed that the guests were so drunk they did not know the difference between freshly fetched water and the wines they had been drinking. Timothy was advised to take a little wine for his heart. The book of proverbs advised against taking too much wine as it breeds vices. Finally, read the article well. They found warehouses for ageing the wine. Do you know how wine is made and how it gets its alcohol? Via simple fermentation. |
Ever8090:which of the gods? There are around 4,600 so choose carefully. If you are choosing one of the two gods that the African colonialists brought, then your own mental slavery is still pro plus max. The colonialists brought christianity and islam and our country is still doped with them. One stinker...the british on one hand claim the bronze gods you were worshipping were bad but took them to their museums as artefacts...lots of them. |
Pastafari:ok. happy flying bro. |
Righteousness2:Its quite ironic that you same religious pundits that will say people should not take alcohol are now trying to celebrate the largest alcohol producing factory in ancient time. That factory alone, with its old tech produced around 25% of what the whole Britain can produce today. The discovery of the factory and artefacts does not in any way say prove anything about your religion's claims. The aztec skull tower was discovered few years ago in Mexico. Does that also support the Aztec religion's theories? Wake up from your delusion. No god is coming. The only problem with the world now is we the humans. The world as we know it can end in a few weeks or a few centuries based only on our decisions and not on one god waking up. |
Smartb0y:We humans are environmental magnets. We attract influences from the society in which we grow up. Despite the seeming differences we have on the outside, we have similar hardware specs inside. If you bring a spanish baby and raise him in a core yoruba village with no spanish influence, he would grow up speaking yoruba and loving yoruba food. He won't just start speaking spanish magically unless he learns it. Most of us grew up in religious homes. We learnt to go to churches and mosques or conduct our religions' rituals as a part of life. It is not easy to just remove this cloak especially since we are still within that environment. It takes a long time of studies, logical thoughts and allowing your mind to unbiased analysis and even at that, to take the step is not easy. Take your time. One thing i want to assure is that you are not going to any hell for thinking it true. The Bible in 1John 4 vs 1 says "do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. The Bible even acknowledges that there are many false prophets (and religions?) and implores you to 'test every spirit'. It tells you this so you can remain in its hold but if you extrapolate this admonition to actually test every spirit, then the christian god's spirit also should be subject to your test. Can the christian god pass its own tests? Human sacrifice, wars, corruption, hate, etc...If the christian god is actually represented by these pastors and bishops with their corruption and excessive feeding on the poor. I will end this by another quote from the Bible: Matthew 7:15-20 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Replace prophets with religion and it suddenly becomes clearer. |
sonmvayina:On the other hand, I actually appreciate the catholic for putting a hold on the islamic jihadist. The crusades helped in setting stumbling blocks for the terror spreading islamists. The whole world would have been under total islamic darkness by now. The case of Nigeria, if the British has delayed their coming by just 50 years, the whole south west would have been under islamic rule. Of all gods ever invented by man, the islamic god has proven to be one of the worst, even more brutal than the aztec gods in human sacrifice appetite. |
Pastafari:Tell us about your religion then Tell us your creation story Tell us why your religion is supreme |
Pastafari:Lol |
Pastafari:What is your religion? |
Debo, You are going places. You have paid your dues even in advance. Start politics in the legislature and pitch your tent as a governor after one term of active house participation. Don't conform and don't soil your brand with rubbish contracts. My cards are on you. |
Dtruthspeaker:the creation fable of the christian and islam religion is so messed up when subject to a logical analysis. If the creator is all knowing and all perfect, why is it that his creations have to suffer from so much imperfections? It is like Apple making iPhones with so many faults and blaming the phones for the faults. To make matters worse, apple keeps making phones with bad components for thousands of years, never for once correcting the flaw and still expecting the phones to correct themselves. |
Dtruthspeaker:in order words, you don't have an answer..... |
Smartb0y:Religion actually muddles up purposeful living by creating a longer path to a meaningful life. It lays out different steps that must be followed in order to ensure your life conforms to its own hypothetical semblance of meaning. It also demands that you sacrifice, by force, the very resources you need to make life meaningful. While it is true that some people have found purpose from religion and it’s tenets, you don’t need religion to have a life with meaning. Meaning in life without religion can be found in the many familiar, meaning-conferring elements that aren't religious in nature. These include friends, family, romantic love, pets, good careers, personal projects, learning, teaching, noble causes, helping others, striving for moral excellence, notable achievements and experiences, hobbies and recreational activities, and so on. There are many non-religious sources of meaning in life, and it's in virtue of such things that life without religion can be meaningful.* When the shackles or religion is removed, life gets even more meaning. It is like a slave becoming free. Zealll:I pity the women in your life. So it is only women that have sex recordings? It is only women that do evil? Talk true….some girls don deny you many times and you are angry abi? You wantu do ‘an-chu-chu’ and dem no gree you abi? |
gurusnizkid23:Evidently, you see yourself as cultured but you are quick and ready to denounce my comment as ‘shit’ and also eager to blast someone you don’t even know nor what transpired. What if the recording was done secretly? Abi in your hastiness, it didn’t cross your mind? You are either an hypocrite or a slow thinker….I am hoping you are not both. |
Workch:Noted. |
Javari:i assumed you were mentally fertile before but evidently your skull is just a waste of calcium. You don't deserve my attention in as much as you crave it, eyes gleaming like a worn beggar's bowl. Run along local fowl. |
Javari:If you quote me to talk rubbish again with that your easybuy phone, i go do the thing I did in 1999 on you. |
Tiwa Savage is a great person. A lot of people don't really know that behind the pretty face and sweet voice is an even sweeter human who is ready to associate and mingle with all and sundry, irrespective of class. I have worked on projects with many celebrities ranging from Burna Boy, Omotola, Toke, Tonto Dikeh, etc and among all, Tiwa Savage is the most down-to-earth individual who is actually limited by her fame from fully expressing the goodness of her heart. For her to be able to talk about this means it is really heavy on her. Yes she is not perfect and has and will do silly things like all humans. However, I believe this is not the time to ridicule her but to support her as she passes through this trying time. |
Dear Presidency, In a period like this where funding is low and dependent on borrowing, i don't believe expending such amount on renovations is wise except it is just a means to pad the budget and divert funds to other things (possibly security or elections). Government should not only be emphatic, it should be seen as emphatic by the citizens. This is the time to cut all unnecessary expenses. A lot of people expected this government to be frugal but that expectation has forever been dashed... Enjoy the fantasy while it lasts...2023 is around the corner |
Dtruthspeaker:Please take your time to explore the fallacy of your assumptions. You claim your religion is perfect and all I have to do is befriend your god. It sounds like an advert. Whenever there is an advert, it means there is an alternative. If there is an alternative, then your god being is not the only power even within your own theory. Since there is an alternative god within your own religion, how are we certain the other god is not being subject to bad publicity. Maybe the other god is the real patient god and not your own patient god? Why the illogical imperfections in your own theory? And oh….why must I bribe your all powerful god with my friendship especially when it is not guaranteed to give any real result? Don’t forget there are options in this highly competitive god market |
Dtruthspeaker:Hold on a bit... You mentioned the bible. That is a religious book of one of the 4,600 religions humans have invented. What makes the bible better than the quran or the hindu texts? Are you implying that just because you believe in the writings in the bible, every other person must believe it? What about the 4,599 other religions? What gives your own god a final say on a matter that has been in discourse even before he was created? Now if you go through my prior posts, you would notice that i said the things humans don't understand are immediately attributed to their supernatural being. Are you attributing morality to your god because your inventors didn't understand it? Again, to show that your premise is flawed, if all morality comes from your god and you also see him as perfect, why does immorality then exist? Aristotle defines moral virtue as a disposition to behave in the right manner and as a mean between extremes of deficiency and excess, which are vices. We learn moral virtue primarily through habit and practice rather than through reasoning and instruction. |

but bross, do you know that your ability to deny the existence of God alone is a proof of his existence?...
