This issue of child marriage in the north is tricky and at the same time complicated. Permit me to say this, northerners marriage last as they don't marry for love but marry for WHO CAN TAKE CARE OF ME BEST. that's the truth about an average northern lady. Most of this girls married out to older men obviously won't refuse it as they don't have any plan for the future or themselves than sell jeda, gist with peers and offcourse discuss even things you don't imagine they know. And offcourse wait for Ango. I'm half northern half Yoruba and I stayed most of my life there till 2018. Before y'all castigate the man etc, know the fact that it's more of a culture over there for the talakawas and it won't stop any yearsssss soon. |
Nigerian police will work if they are motivated to. My statement is short but broad. The motivation can be in different folds. |
Juliearth:You're very correct in the bulk buying. But a man with 4 kids and a wife might think twice before coughing out the money for bulk buying, that's even if he can put such punt together without been tempted to touch. I do bulk buying and i stay in Ibadan. With even less than a million I stock up the house even with drinks and other edibles. I just have learnt to stay off lounges and money syphoning places. |
slimstanakacns:You missed the road, you went from answering the question to licking your wounds. The question was how much do you spend not what motivates your spending. Nigerians haba |
yemmit90:You're on point. A friend of mine in Texas told me he relocated to California to be with is aged parents. Dude had a good job in Texas though. In this part of the world, I think there is this idea that you're grown when you leave your parents for no just reason. The major folks who practise this act are internet fraudsters and those I call wannabes. I have lots of friends doing well who still stays in the family home and even married there as long as no friction between partner and parents. Fun fact, parents need us more when they're grown than when they're agile. |
SultanOfPuna:If you are making your money around or within the area, I don't see any reason why you should leave. The only thing is to try and build a demacation to avoid ladies palava. I really don't know where this idea of leaving home just to prove grown starts from though. A friend stayed with his parents and married there until he built is own house at 38 or so. Dude and is wife were both doctors. I can site more example. The only reason I believe a man should move out is for job sourcing or if the home won't contain them maybe shared kitchen etc. Try and stay by your folks, now is the time they need you most. I also stayed with my mum till 29 when I had to start my business in another state. Now, my mum stays more with me and I'm planning converting her house in the other state to 3 unit of 2 bedroom flat for more income . Once married, my plan is to build a 2bedroom inside the same compound to avoid friction between my wife and precious jewel. |
Ijapa...... The car will climb any hill any day and any time. Used to be my dream car. |
ibinaboonline:I'm glad we still have descent Nigerians who ain't dogmatic on opinions. |
It's obvious why the ex gf left. He dodged a stray bullet. |
Location and post more pictures. |
durentboi:You will look back at this Shenenigan few years from now and and shake your head in pity.... I thought the female gender are the ones that crave public validation, e be like table don shift. |
Range rover Evoque does have convertible. |
There are no bad cars, just bad handlers. I drive an Honda, and I've used other brands. My mum used a babyboy 1999 back then when I was a teenager and I always see the way the car messes us up with the leg issue. This almost poisoned my mind. My first car was not even Honda, but I will tell you, I have used 2007, 2012 and presently 2014 accord and not once I have regretted the idea. Funnily, my 2014 uses CVT gear and lots of so called expert advised me against it. Not for once have I been stranded with any of my Hondas. In Short, no bad cars, just bad users and handlers. First thing you do before buying a car is to read about the cons and probable issues then plan accordingly if your chest carry am. |
helinues:Go back to politics, we read between the lines and digest here before rushing to comment. |
Ruke1991:I can't decipher if this is sarcasm. You earn my respect either ways. |
This muric man........... He lost credibility already |
More like NIGERIANS, I'm still here o, once Tinubu leaves power, I will continue my shenanigans. I haven't even heard muric in a while sef. They used to be vocal even when the economy was better though. |
Something he will use to take side chick on a joyride once he drops wifey at home. |
Front0lane:To think simpletons like you share the same clime is genuinely purging. No wonder the country is in the big mess it is. |
Saw the clip, I was really embarrassed. Seyi is not a Catholic member neither a public office holder, what took him their in the first place. Tinubu keeps making Buhari and is family look like a saint with is many actions. In the history of Nigeria and the world in general, this is the first President son that even outshadows the vice president himself. Even idiamin families were not in the limelight half of this. |
GetMeRight:You're the one acting too emotional. Private schools don't just expel. They count their gain by number of students they can get. For the authority to expel her wards then the woman needs to be checked. But then, Nigerians as usual. MORE EMOTIONAL than WISE. |
mastermaestro:I'm into business and omoh, I don't mind loosing 10 customers to keep my trademark intact. Let me share a scenario. Been a Christian, I make sure my hands are free of any anomaly. Their happen to be this driver who used to buy PMS in my station. I suppose he was not okay with the service of a new staff one day and he started telling other drivers to boycott it as my Meter and my fuel is adulterated. I started this business renting fuelling stations years back and a man out of bitterness will just ruin it. I told my manager to reach out to the man and even pacify him with some incentives. Next time baba came luckily I was on ground as those tanker boys no dey disburse wetin them send them. They sell some off along the way. Baba started is shenanigans again. This time he was like they should give him 30naira change. Very flimsy thing the man was trying to create a scene on. I just walked over greeted him and gave him is full cash though they already sold the fuel inside is bus tank. I told him he can leave and baba was shocked. After much ado etc he left. I told my folks never to sell or allow him entry again. I lost 20k that day but if he wasn't checked, he would have used that nonsensical radicalism to push better customers away. I still see the man pass by and that doesn't stop me from greeting him if need be. |
mastermaestro:You're so on point. She will be a very troublesome one and perhaps uncouth. I once managed my uncle's school during a break while in higher institution and I realised lots of parents are so hard to work it and will even pass down the nuisance gene on the kids. I can remember one who never does whatever the school deems right and will also poison the mind of other parents. She can also be so combative with words and she's always the first to compare the standard of the school with the schools around. Funnily, the same thing those schools do are stuffs we tried inclucating. After a while, I made sure her kids (3) were expelled not to come again as her shenanigans was affecting the greater good. I'm damn sure she won't say the story the way it was if she's to tell the bigger audience. |
The lady should come out with the full story. The way Nigerians always act on weaklings emotions ehnn. I'm sure her kids ain't the only one who didn't pay, and I'm sure this is half baked truth. I'm sensing she will be a very troublesome and nuisance of a parent hence the school decided to thrash her where she belongs. |
Angelfrost:Alright then. I will agree with you if you won't with Me. |
Angelfrost:Good one. Let's be practical, how much was your rent, water bill, gas bill, tax etc when you were abroad. And how much was your earnings per hour. Before then were you a low income me earner, intermediate or high. Now if you fall at the low, answer the above question I sent with all humility. Btw, even Ghana is abroad. I should have been specific in my question. |

Angelfrost:Which country do you reside before I speak on this. |
Nigerians and half baked stories. How much Tax is required in the above countries, how much is rent, miscellaneous bills etc. Nigerians will hear a man is making 3000 dollars per month in diaspora and next thing they will start telling you how much millions it is in naira. They forget this amount don't have values over there and after bills are paid, peanuts are left. Result of inflation sha. |
To marry don dey hungry her. One foul reasoning man will be stupid in the name of love. |
Zonefree:When you see folks using abbreviations, just look and pass. They hardly reason before voicing. |
