But he had them before becoming a rep member
Did you know when Dino graduated from the University. Mind you he was first elected into HoR in 2003.

He acquired his so called franchise after he became a legislator and not before.

how is the 1999 constitution preventing transparency and accountability?

what and what is in the 1999 constitution that prevents transparency and accountability?
The 67 item in exclusive list are things that should be controlled by the federating units in a federalism.

You can't call your constitution a federal constitution yet unitarised all power at the centre. The system is purely antithetical to development

Your response has absolutely nothing to do with any of what I infact typed in response to the topic here. Are you certain your read anything of what was posted either in the OP or my retort? lipsrsealed
It is you that don't know what you are saying. Be feigning ignorance there.

Nigeria needs a new constitution for transparency and accountability, until then any attempt to chastise the president while protecting your failed governors would be seen as hypocrisy.
Politics › Re: Senators’ Monthly Pay Hits N2 Billion by Ttalk: 1:11pm On Aug 15, 2024
No Senator in Nigeria collect less than 50m and HoR doesn't receive less than 30m.

I don't know why the lazy journalists in Nigeria can't conduct simple research and give Nigerians accurate figure All these speculation is what is emboldened the legislators to milk the country dry
Politics › Re: Tanko Yakasai Counters The Patriots, Says Constitution Not Nigeria’s Problem by Ttalk: 1:02pm On Aug 15, 2024
I don't know why every political argument is now tilted toward selecting a bad leader from one region.

When you tell them they should focus on their governor who has failed to perform they would say it is the FG that is responsible for fiscal policy.

Now there's discussion around reducing the power of the FG to redistribute resources to ensure responsibility and accountability away from the current rent-seeking arrangement, our brothers from SE are now saying we should maintain the status quo that gives unnecessary power to the FG where it controls 67 items in the exclusive list.

Should we assume that SE people are ignorant or sheer hypocrisy

Kobojunkieee:
If you have ever in fact read the document for yourself, you will find that the problem we have today did not start with it. Yes, it was forced on Nigerians but that is not enough of a reason for why Nigeria turned out the way it has today. Understand that Constitutions are not magical documents. If the people require enforcement of the laws Supreme Laws highlighted in the documentation at every level of government, the Supreme Law becomes nothing more than a background joke. undecided

The current constitution would have worked well had the people been installed themselves as the backbone of this democracy from the beginning. Rather, Nigerians got themselves chasing after Messiahs forgetting their role was meant to be as the Messiahs in what was meant to be their democracy. undecided

I wonder if there would ever be truth in the country. .

All the lawmakers lied about their income including Kawu and Sani, just as Obasanjo exaggerated their income.

A sensible mind should decode the threshold of a Senators monthly income

You're deceiving yourself here.
No politician will ever be accepted massively like Obi ever again.
aligning with Atiku is just a lesser devil because tinubu is evil and a demon.
Stop being a novice, Soludo will gain more appeal outside Igboland that your mediocre Obi.

Let Obi stoop low to conquer. Since Nigeria is under existential threat from Tinubu and APC, there's no sacrifice too big for Obi. Afterall,
Obi calls Atiku his boss
Just listen to yourself. You Atiku is the master while your Obi is subordinate. Master / slave relationship.
Nice one

DMerciful:
Tinubu is constantly compromising every institution so that without Atiku/Obi repeat of 2019, it would be impossible to defeat his rigging machinery
Use your brain and not your battered ego. The hate for Tinubu as a result of knockout defeat of your lord and saviour can't make you reason well. You are saying a presidential aspirant should reduce himself to a VP.

You don't love Obi, you only hate Tinubu

Nebuchadnezar:
Whenever I see my fellow Obidients trying to brush aside Peter Obi partnership with Atiku, I always marvel.
If Nigerians really want to dispose APC come 2027 then Obi must either partner with Atiku or step aside.
Any ticket with Obi on it will be another long 4 years of APC and tinubu.
This is not emotions but politics.
Even tinubu will be praying against Atiku/Obi partnership because he stood no chance no matter the rigging.
Right now the focus of Nigerians should be to remove APC in power.
With this I'll advice Obi to either step aside or Partner with Atiku.
As for me I'll prefer him stepping aside.
man has really tried his best by being the only politician in Nigeria with zero corruption records.
he's a multi billionaire and doing well for himself.
besides he can still be president in the future because age is still by his side.
The goal now is to remove APC from power because it's obvious that they're failed Nigerians.
Obidients should understand that politics is not emotional.
You can't want a better Nigeria and still enable tinubu for second tenure.
You'll be contradicting yourself.

I remain King Nebuchadnezar
I never read your comment finish before getting answer to it. Simple, another candidate would be sponsored to take away obidients block vote.
Don't play

Obi should stop all these rants just like his obidient online miscreants who daily criticized without providing a single solution.

It is hypocrisy to ignore the activities of IPOB your brothers who killed many traditional chiefs and security agents in your backyard.

How can you ignore the Monday sit-at-home decreed by Simon Ekpa on your people even when such action destroyed the economy of the SE?

You are just a biased and ethnic supremacist who speaks when it concerns others but is quiet if it is your tribesman

It would be very silly for a fellow black to see nothing wrong with that pic and repost it if the source is unknown or if the black guy in the pic is being held in a chokehold for anything other than it being a case of being detained after getting caught engaging in criminality!
To me the image depict 2 human being. In your mind you see a black man and a while, so much to say about what goes on in your mind.

Stop making stupid comments, many politicians are daily being molested for one thing or the other and there are agitation and demands that often lead to confrontation, all that can't be termed protest.
