You have serious reading and comprehension issues.
Stay on topic and stop being personal and humbly accept your mistake, take correction and move on rather than result in subtle jab.

Falana in 2020 stated clearly that Nass can summon the President so also Fashola a SAN. Are you saying both of them are wrong?

According to Falana back in 2018, section 88 was the reason why NASS cannot summon the President

According to the same Falana now in 2020, the same section 88 is the reason why NASS can summon the President.

In 2018 - Section 88 = NASS can not summon the president.

In 2020 - Section 88 = Nass can summon the president.

This is why Nigerian lawyers and the entire Judiciary system are pure disaster. They lack credibility, the lie easily, t's like lying is part of their DNA.
Stop confusing yourself, you stated earlier in other thread that Nass don't have power to invite the president for briefing.

You said constitution doesn't give Nass such power, You went ahead to demand for relevant section of the constitution.

Have you now accepted that Nass indeed has power to invite the president?

This is your own opinion, not constitutional facts, if you are going to pass that on as constitutional facts, just go ahead and show us the relevant part of the constitution that says the legislature can command the executive to appear, for even any reason.
The power of Legislature goes beyond constitution in a democracy, that is why it is only the legislature that can invoke doctrine of necessity' which covers any areas that is not binding by the constitution.

When you talk about power of executives you refer to constitution., when you talk of power of judiciary you refer to constitution but when you talk about power of legislature, you refer to the people

plaindealer:
I don't think you know the meaning of that phrase or when, where and how it's used.
You are the one that doesn't know what doctrine of necessarily mean. National Assembly don't need constitution to invoke doctrine of necessity'. And the issue of insecurity which have left mullions of Nigerian displaced and maimed is enough ground to invoke doctrine of necessity by inviting the president even if the constitution have not given Nass power summon the president.

Again, there are so many condition that gives Nass power to summon the president such as in area of appropriation, health issue and security

Below is the definition of Doctrine of Necessity
The doctrine of necessity is a term used to describe the basis on which extraordinary actions by administrative authority, which are designed to restore order or uphold fundamental constitutional principles, are found to be constitutional even if such an action would normally be deemed to be in contravention to established norms or conventions. It also includes the ability of a private person to violate a law without punishment where the violation of law was necessary to prevent even worse harm. The maxim on which the doctrine is based originated in the writings of the medieval jurist Henry de Bracton, and similar justifications for this kind of extra-legal action have been advanced by more recent legal authorities, including William Blackstone.

It is you that doesn't know the power of Legislature in a democracy.

GMB apart from being the president also holds a title of Commander in Chief of Arm Forces, he is also the petroleum minister and could be summon by appropriate committee of National Assembly for briefing.

Who tells you Committee on Defense can't summon the Commender in Chief of Arm Forces?

Who told you Committee on Petroleum cannot summon the president on as Minister of Petroleums to answer some question relating to his ministry?

Yes, National Assembly has the right to invite the president, sending a relevant representative on behalf of the president to defend him would have been much more logical than this outright weakening of our institutions by the executives which should uphold and preserve them

A member of the House of Representative representing Daura/Mai’adua/Sandamu Constituency, Katsina State, Fatuhu Muhammed, has revealed how massive smuggling is still taking place in Daura, the hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari, despite the closure of Nigeria’s land border by the Federal Government.

Muhammed, a nephew of President Buhari, said during plenary last week in Abuja that smuggling is still thriving at the border between Daura and Niger, which is just 13 kilometres away from President Buhari’s private residence.

He spoke on the floor of the lower legislative chamber following the adoption of a motion sponsored by another representative from Katsina, Sada Soli, for the NCS to lift ban on the supply of petroleum products to land border stations within 20 kilometres of Nigerian borders.

The lawmaker, who condemned the unilateral directive by the Comptroller General of Customs to ban the supply of petroleum products within 20 kilometres to the country’s land borders, lamented the hardship people in his constituency and others living in the border communities were going through as a result of the policy.

He said there is need to summon the Customs boss to explain to Nigerians the rationale behind the decision to ban sale of petroleum products within 20 kilometres to the country’s border.

He said, “I was ambushed by the committees in Daura due to the hardship they are facing there as a result of the closure of the border and ban on supply of fuel within 20 kilometres on instruction given by the Customs.

“From Daura to Kongolam, which is the international border, it is just 18 kilometres, in fact from Mr President’s house, even his bedroom to the border is just 13 kilometres. We all know that the borders are closed, but they still allow things to go in and out. I am a living witness to that. A day before yesterday, I was there around 1am, nobody knew, but I saw what they were doing.

Will Nass agree on a unicamera legislature to cut down governance cost?

Will Nass abolish quota system and promote meritocracy?

Happy new month great people.

I was reading through top 10 countries that are leading in aquaculture and no African country was among.

From China to Japan to Indian, Norway, Vietnam and other countries, have taken fish farming from backyard hobby to big investment.

What did they do right and what are we not doing right in Africa?

I know many would want to put the blame on our government, cost of feed, high energy cost, low value of table size fish.etc.

These are few of many problems bedeviling aquaculture in Nigeria.

But sincerely, will you have performed magic if you found yourself in one of such favourable country?

What do you think would have happened if those aquaculture farmers found themselves in African country?

Many problems confronting aquaculture in Nigeria need your input. You are meant to solve problem that is why you are referred to as entrepreneur.

When there are problems, then there is need for entrepreneur to provide solution.

Politician don't have answer to mankind problems. The solutions lie with the entrepreneur.

Stop complaining about high cost of feed.

Stop complaining about middlemen pricing your fish crazy

Stop complaining about lack of fund

Bring forth your ingenuity, the people are looking up to you for solution, don't disappoint, provide the solution and you
will be rewarded handsomely.

Happy December

Happy new month

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has transmitted the much awaited Petroleum Industry Bill 2020 to the National Assembly and has proposed the creation of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.

The bill, which was sighted by our correspondent on Sunday, also proposes the scrapping of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency.

The bill states that the NNPC Limited will be incorporated by the Minister of Petroleum, who together with his finance counterparts, will determine NNPC’s assets and liabilities that will be inherited by the new firm.

Section 54(1, 2 and3 )) reads in part, “The Minister (of Petroleum) and the Minister of Finance shall determine the assets, interests and liabilities of NNPC to be transferred to NNPC Limited or its subsidiaries and upon the identification, the minister shall cause such assets, interests and liabilities to be transferred to NNPC Limited.

“Assets, interests and liabilities of NNPC not transferred to NNPC Limited or its subsidiary under subsection 1 of this section shall remain the assets, interests and liabilities of NNPC until they become extinguished or transferred to the government.

“NNPC shall cease to exist after its remaining assets, interests and liabilities other than its interests, assets, and liabilities transferred to NNPC Limited or its subsidiaries under subsection 1 of this section shall have been extinguished or transferred to the government.”

According to Section 53 of the bill, the minister shall “within six months from the commencement of this Act, cause to be incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act, a limited liability company, which shall be called Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC Limited).

“The minister shall be at the incorporation of NNPC Limited, consult with the Minister of Finance to determine the number and nominal value of the shares to be allotted which shall form the initial paid-up share capital of the NNPC Limited and the government shall subscribe and pay cash for the shares.

“Ownership of all shares in NNPC Limited shall be vested in the government at incorporation and held by the Ministry of Finance incorporated on behalf of the government.”

The bill also proposes the establishment of an agency known as the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission which will be responsible for the technical and commercial regulation of upstream petroleum operations.

Section 4 of the bill states in part, “There is established the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (the commission) which shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal.

I have read up your post and I can say you have not made any sense.

Before I continue arguing with you,I want you to also drop your own fish feed formulation formula for the house. That is how real men argue.Pls counter my feed formula with that you own feed formula, not by baseless hateful criticism.

Do it now,or leave me out of this argument.

Allow the crowd to judge,Nigerians are wiser now.

About showing what I have achieved/innovations in fish farming.. I have done more than you in the biz, before I upgraded.

All those gibberish you wrote about profit are laughable. You guys will never learn.Still been servants to books written by ancient men.

I will explain the best way to calculate profit in a business for you.

Let the crowd judge.

No forget to drop your formula.
Dont use me learn how to argue on the platform, i asked a straight forward question and you started singing praises of yourself. You wanted to teach me cost accounting? I dont know why you have refused to humble yourself.

My works on fish farming are my testimonies. I dont owe you any feed formula. There are thousand of people in the business we roll together. Name your work, innovation and references and lets begin from there.

Am still waiting for your understanding about margin and economies of scale as it relates to profit. You can goggle it up but your presentation will still expose your folly.

As to dickk measuring, forget it am not cut for that.

Is that formula what you called innovation? I tell you it cant win a prize in Kindergarten class

Any body arguing with my fish forformulation is a learner.

Keep waiting for the government, they are coming.

When ever people mention the govt for assistance, I assume they have nothing to say.

Govt should help fish farmers recycle water,is Nigeria lacking water?.

That will only be possible if Nigeria is lacking water/water shortages else forget about that dream.

Try my feed formulation before condemning, people are using that formula to earn via fish farming.

Many farmers use it check YouTube.

Dry feed/factory feed is a taboo in fish farming. If you know, know.

I beg make una let me rest @ fish consultants.

Pumb gazzilion litters of water your village people are looking for, then flush it after three days.

The truth is always silent.
Because fish like wet feed doesn't make it appropriate in intensive farming just like @Fishwealth mentioned. That alone has exposed your class of fish farming

I am a strong advocate of local feed as most of my post on this platform has been on feed formulation. There's a reference in one of my post where i mentioned wet feed.

But that was about 5years ago, there's been innovation and so many turn around that make wet feed useless and primitive. Go and conduct research on how to make your fish feel the taste of feed as fresh, but i doubt if you'll find any that is not censored.

You are flaunting your year of experience in fish farming, claiming expert in economics and finance and at the same time making mockery of those who are producing juvenile and rendering consultancy services on fish farming, but dont have single reference here you can pride of. Am looking forward to see your verifiable work, innovation and business on fish farming

Why not come down from your high horse and learn the right way?

Claiming fish business is not profitable is not only hogwash but a careless and shallow submission from a so called economist and finance expert.

What makes a business profitable?, Is it profit margin or economies of scale? What are the goods or services that requires high profit margin, and which ones are best for scale production?

Not that this arguments worth it, but to keep genuine follower alert from being diverted from their belief by a shallow and bias opinion

Aquaponic?.

You are still talking about more expenses na.

More and more wahala.

Don't tell me you are using all those gazillion liters of water from your farm on aquaponics?.

I know that cat fish farming consume more water than plants(x1000 times)

I know that the water wasted by fish farmers in Nigeria can irrigate all the farms in the country.

You see we don't have much problems in Nigeria. Our problem is simple, we are not great thinkers and innovators.

Fish farmers can irrigate all the farms in the country through their gazilion waste water.

Fish farmers can also provide all the water needs for their communities/neighbors.

Did you see a solution to our water problems?.

We are just trying to make naija a great place.

Let's cross pollinate ideas.
Now you see, what people see as waste or wasteful can actually be converted and turn around to form other component of production. I am always driven by idea, and i have invented local techs to drive my business. My exposure with aggressive innovative mentors has really helped me and having worked in a Committee on Local Content for some years gave me insight into how we can manipulate resources around us to achieve result.

Thanks for being patient with me, am not driven by profit but by passion. Fish business is what i do and not fish farming. There are so many local inputs we can create to bring expenses down and increase profit, that should be our focus, money follows ideas and not business. Let create new ideas to drive whatever farming business we are into, thats what will bring profit.

Have a wonderful night

Those involved in pure water sell the water, not to pump and flush it way like fish farmers.

They also take not of depreciation, but fish farmers don't.

Majority of fish farmers don't consider the cost/worth of the water they pump, else they will rethink.

One can't be pumping and flushing away thousands/millions of liters of water worth thousands of naira,in the name of cat fish.

The above is just one demerit.
