Why won't they vent their anger on you Yorubas?? You Yorubas always look ways to blame Igbos for everything when actually it was you people out of greediness that always creat bad blood in the entire Southern Nigeria
The way people like you reason is what gives north the audacity to look down on south, what effort are your leaders making to get PDP presidential slot since SW is fighting to get that of APC?

What are your interest, is it to your region or to PDP? If your brain is active, you would canvass, lobby and work and get positioned to take advantage of your effort from the party you have invested the most but when you begin to ask PDP to zone to the north so as to spite SW, then you are simply being partisan, why are you doing the work of poliricians when your interest is in your region.

Seriously you Yorubas are the fourth wheel in Southern unity mirage.I have never seen people as greedy as you people seriously. If rotation is anything to go by between South and North you people know that Igbo suppose to produce president but because of how treacherous and greedy you people are you people still want to grab president from Igbo and later your governors will come to form Southern unity with South East and South South
Stop this your nonsense talk, Igbo are not the only tribe in the south, we have different tribes with huge population that is equally entitled to become president 2023.

The reasonable Igbos I know are goal getter and ambitious and not some lazy sloth like you who want to reap where you didn't sow.

It is unreasonable to blame others when your political leaders are chickening out where they supposed to demand for presidential slot from the party where they invested and laboured for 20years

POLITICSNIGERIA.COM

Former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed why he left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

POLITICS NIGERIA learned that FFK joined the ruling party on Thursday after President Muhammadu Buhari met him and other leaders of the party in the Presidential Villa.

FFK, who was beaming with joy explained that his decision to move was a direction from God.

He said that he was led by the Spirit of God in his decision and that he joined the APC to help for the unity of the country, adding that he was against anything that would cause the disintegration of Nigeria.

The fiery Politician has been a very strong critic of the Buhari administration. He is known for regularly heaping insults and strong criticism against the party even once swearing that he could never become a member again.

You have no shame after hobnobbing with Sunday Igboho and even went to his house, you suddenly turn your back at disintegration being agitated by the agitators from the failed country.
FFK go and borrow shame

Thank you Chimamanda. Right questions for the right person at the right time. Hopefully , Merkel would revert back with a very detailed information as to what went wrong. Sane people in this messed up enclave need to know what went wrong with the siemens power deal.

Today they are shifting attention to Egypt just to buy time. Meanwhile Siemens is responsible for the Egyptian power success story. So APC government want to ditch the master and go with his apprentice.

People like Chimamanda can only try, nothing changes at the end because Nigerians are not yet ready for change.
Nigerian politicians are useless.

If there is any set of people within the enclosed space of what we call nigeria who have seen their fortunes rise it is the Yorubas.

Nigeria has massively favoured yoruba people, they should be the last people seeking to leave this country, Any very intelligent Yoruba man should be fighting to maintain the status quo.

Let me remind our yoruba brothers who are allowing echoes to biafra from the igbos to confuse them into thinking they are birds of a feather.

1. Unlike igbo people, Yorubas are split in Religion, Half christians and half muslim. So to be honest while a christian,Yoruba person hate bokoharam and what they represent, A muslim Yoruba man might be a support. We all know that religion is the biggest divider of people, its easy to feel brotherly about your tribe when you are enclosed with other tribes, but in a sole Yoruba nation, Religion becomes a flash point.

2. The cornerstone of Development in Yorubaland is primarily because of lagos which remains the commercial capital of nigeria. The way nigeria is designed by the military regime, other tribes in nigeria are boxed out of so many options that would have been available to them to carry out their commericial activities.

Important examples, The main Seaport and Airport in Nigeria is in Lagos, If nigeria were to split other regions would finally take to their own. Creating a Yoruba Nation means the decommercialization of Lagos, and therefore those reasons why other nigerians flood lagos would cease to exist, and a slow and steady collapse of the commercial activities in the state will commence, A good example of a city that has faced decommercialization is Detroit. It used to be the manufacturing capital of America in the 50s, houses were very expensive to buy, Today Its a ghost city that over 50 percent of its population has relocated, and you can buy a full duplex in Detroit for $1 today.

3. Since the yorubas barely have any oil, their major source of state income is federal government allocation which comes from OIl proceeds and for states like Lagos and Ogun, state incomes are made from taxes. Removing lagos from nigeria would decommercialize it, which depopulate it and wipe off those pesky taxes that the state government uses to generate IGR.

4. The yorubas barely producing any oil in Abundance, are currently some the largest tribes holding top positions in oil companies in Nigeria, go to Shell, Chevron, Agip, most of their top staffs are Yorubas, That ceases to exist once the Yorubas have a country of their own.

There are so many other reasons but as you can see, while the igbos and other ND states can claim that Nigeria has massively hurt them, The opposite has been the case for yoruba people. Wanting the division of nigeria is akin to a Yoruba man trying to kill his goose that lays the golden eggs. Bad Move!
You have no point in all this garbage you put forward by placing the future of Yoruba nation to revolve around oil. You know nothing if you think Yoruba want to make oil thier main source of income in post Nigeria era.

Other points of religion and some Yoruba working in oil company is irrelevant to Yoruba as a people.

That's what I try to make them understand. You cannot compare Nigeria and Benin or any other West African countries, or even African countries. Our situation is much more complex given our size, population, diversity, religion and history.
The complexity and intractable problem bedeviling Nigeria is what brings about these agitations.

I often wonder why people say our diversity is our strenght when we are not able to solve just one problem associated with a diverse country like Nigeria

Despite the intelligence and education of Nigerians, nonetheless, the country is lacking in business innovation. Our appetite for ready made and imported goods have destroyed the business mind of average Nigerians from innovation, and despite the enactment of Local content law, we have been unable to utilise this to innovate and create our local equipments and machinery

The only sector that has broken that jinx is the entertainment sector, while our engineers and scientist are still in the doldrum of backwardness

Officialgarri:
We know the reason Sahara published this is to attract criticism and insults to the senator.

But if we are to be wise and reason beyond politics and party hatred, this is also part of an achievement of the representative of a constituency.

Communication is key, yet there are so many areas, villages in Nigeria that till date, they can't make calls easily. I am certain I'm not the only one who have experienced this. Some places even have just one network provider.
And imagine if the only browsing network available is GLO grin . You will get stranded. grin

Many areas suffer bandit attacks because there's no way they could reach out to people in town of impending attacks.

Now, someone has decided to invite Network providers to an area he represents and it's a crime that they he celebrated that his request was granted.
Stop embarrassing yourself here, how can a Senator commission communication mask belonging to a company as project? What sort of project is that.

Facilitating installation of mask into an area is strictly business for the facilitator and the land owner, I l know this because I have done it years back. Anyone could have done that from the community as the telcom would be eager to install it for their economic gain.

Stop promoting mediocrity, what you should be demanding is good representation, sound Bills and oversight function that is their legitimate responsibility of a lawmaker instead of one irrelevant mask commission

Politics › Re: Available Power Generation Capacity Plunges By 3,000MW To 6,000MW – Gencos by Ttalk: 9:57am On Jul 08, 2021
Reference:
'....On their part, the distributors had argued that TCN was dropping electricity load in locations where it was tough for Discos to recoup their tariffs, as residents in such areas found it difficult to pay their electricity bills....'

'....There are 124 power generation companies, majorly thermals – firms that use gas, that are just watching on the sideline, watching when the market gets serious before coming in,” Ogaji stated.

She added, “Their licences, a cumulative and aggregated number, will give us another 30,000MW if they were actively involved....'

This is just the summary of Nigeria's power challenges and by extension our developmental outlook.
Nigerians are just too poor to trigger the productivity that will in turn unshackle her from the barrel of this mono economy.
When folks always proclaim this popular error saying, '...just give us stable power and Nigeria(ns) will prosper...', I have always laughed at the lie.
It is just like saying the reason why I have not prospered is because I do not have a sponsor or venture capital.

The truth is that productivity or creativity attracts empowerment anywhere, any day. An economy that is potentially productive will attract power investment and will attract energy infrastructure.

The reasons why we are stuck in this vicious cycle has more to do with the structure of the Nigerian economy that is NOT focused on productivity but is rent seeking, mercantile and a contractors paradise. People who really make things that are key to productivity will absorb the cost of that productivity without issues.

The bulk of Nigerians on the other hand simply are not productive enough to make use of more than 4,000 megawatts, Period.
What sort of myopic talk is this, if Nigerians are not productive enough why are they sending humongous amount on generator and diesel. They spent huge money investing in renewable energy at home and in office and you are saying they are not productive, if you have been unproductive and don't know what to do with stable electricity, millions of Nigerians do know.
