You may consider giving a Pre-lay mash as soon as you have 2% production
equally you need to take steps to increase the feed intake.
Regards. Thanks @davidsfarm,i Will Increase There Feed |

jamp: injecting laying birds will affect production. I had the experience last year when I injected the birds @ almost the same age.production droped and we lost some birds. Since then I ve been using lasota.
NB. This is my own opinion n experience. Others may ve a different view. @jamp thats what am afraid of cos i dont want to loose them, experience is d best teacher, thanks @jamp, |

ultrazone: Using 8-10fish/litre stocking density, you can raise 20-25 fish in the vat. You may decide to increase to 30 sha since you are not producing to a target weight . Just make sure you avoid over-stocking so you don't attract its attendant negative consequences. www.WeTalkNaira.com ultrazone: Using 8-10fish/litre stocking density, you can raise 20-25 fish in the vat. fnk: @tucurj, I hope you understand how @valarinz got you the info about your 50 birds capacity. Just take a look at his table or the explanation he gave above, and substitute the 500 bird capacity to your 50 bird capacity and you will get the numbers he gave you. remember the bags of feeds are packed in 25kg bags, so you divide to total kg you got when you add up the first 4 weeks kg feed consumption by 25kg, that will give you the number of bags that you will need for each feed type at the different stages of the birds to their market size or desired size.
Understanding this will help you increase or decrease the number of birds and still know what number of bags of feeds that you will need.
Hope this helps. yeah, thanks fnk |

valarinz: Expect to feed them with about 3 bags of broiler starter till week 4, then feed them with about 9 bags of broiler finisher till week eight, your birds should be of market weight by then and you should sell, else they start eating into your profit.
Thanks thanks V man,i really appreciate it,God will be with u.Thks man |

valarinz: Bro, just ignore that part that said 'broiler grower', use 'broiler finisher' instead, I guess it obtains in the part of the world where the author of the article where I copied it, hails from. Here in Nigeria, I haven't seen anything like 'broiler grower', only broiler starter and broiler finisher.
Thanks pls bro, like how many bags of starter and finisher do i need for 50 broilers from wk1-wk4 and wk5-wk12.PLS i will be glad to here ur response, thanks |
Agriculture › Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by tucurj(m): 4:35pm On Jul 03, 2014 |
valarinz: If you're rearing 500 broilers then your feeding cost calculations will be as follows: Week 1: 0.13×500= 65kg(2.6 bags) and their expected weight at the end of the week is 0.15kg Week 2: 0.28×500= 140kg(5.6 bags) and their expected weight at the end of the week is 0.36kg Week 3: 0.47×500=235kg(9.4 bags) and their expected weight at the end of the week is 0.65kg Week 4: 0.67×500= 335kg(13.4bags) and their expected weight at the end of the week is 1.03kg
and so on till the desired number of weeks.
Thanks is it good to give broiler grower feed? |
