As evidenced by that thread badlee is talking about, a fellow comes and says his mama is critically ill, God saved her life early that morning but she's still in a critical state and therefore asks NL for prayers, . The NL jesus freaks laid the BS pretty thich on how "it is well with her", "we put you in prayers", "its written you shall not die and bla bla bla". . . .only for the lady to die days later.

Now if God is given responsibility for her being lucky the first time, why is he not to be held responsible for her death? Surely if he saved her the first time, how come he couldn't do it again or better still heal her completely? Is that no failure and incompetence on the part of god despite the admonision from NL prayer warriors like Jesoul, vanitt, etc But no, the bible kissers came on with crap like "she's in paradise", "everything works for good to lovers of christ" and every other nonsense they could type

The verse did not say the Creator was constrasting the Isrealites to the different Ethiopians . . . on the contrary .it tells us that they are like the Ethiopians.

It says, Are you not like the ethiopians unto me i.e I perceive you the same way as I see the ethiopians, that is to say EQUALITY. It then goes on to prove that in the next part by saying just the same way I saved isreal from egypt, so did I deliver the philistines and syrians too! Meaning unto me you are all equal!

Simple question, since ancient egyptians were black why were they not reffered to as ethiopians since according to mr No2atheism ALL black people were called ethiopians?

Provide us with the bible verses and archeological records that prove jews were Negros. . why is this so hard and painful for you?

Infact looking at the general theme of the book of Amos you quoted from, its obvious the prophet held the opinion of Yahweh being the God of ALL people rather than exclusively the God of the Jews. As evidenced by the verse you quoted (and several others like amos 1 : 3,6,9,11,13 ; 2: 1, 4, 6) god is taking responsibility for bringing the jews out of egypt as well as delivering/saving the philistines from caphtor and the syrians from kir.

Its with that general theme in mind that he compared the israelites to children of ethiopians all in a bid to show/prove he's God of them ALL. One has to think the Ethiopians were chosen to make that analogy because they were TOTALLY different/diverse from the jews, this was to help drive the point further that Yahweh is God of ALL people. Yes, the prophet used them for their different skin colour/culture.

Its even still used today, Nothing says a company is for all people than using a black and white face together in your Advertising campaign.

I didn't need to make any arguments. You claimed christianity isnt religion, I gave you a dictionary definition of religion and asked you to show HOW christianity doesn't qualify only for you to ramble on about how christianity is part religion and how jesus has been strugling to teach and how only you and your family can understant it and bla bla bla blah.

Face it, the dictionary/official definition of religion is pretty simple and christianity fits the bill PERFECTLY.
