Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Communication's Interview by tundebabzy: 9:40am On Nov 28, 2008
@naijadove. I admit but i only say whenever someone asks. You know its very frustrating when you don't get answers in nairaland.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Communication's Interview by tundebabzy: 10:07am On Nov 27, 2008
i heard they pay 850k p.a (before tax) while you are a trainee. After a year, salary increases to 1.3million p.a also before tax.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Communication's Interview by tundebabzy: 12:35pm On Nov 26, 2008
lol!harsh as it sounds its the fact. You can't make the interview, you can't get the job(at least for entry level applicants who schooled in Nigeria)
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Communication's Interview by tundebabzy: 4:11pm On Nov 25, 2008

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Test: Is It For Real? by tundebabzy: 1:56pm On Oct 27, 2008
To be honest i actually thought Insight's remuneration would be much higher than what you said but also like you said, we all have our own motivating factors. The extra parties, events, chance to meet people,, a place like insight is where i should be at. But 70k before tax is small o. Then 130k before tax after one year is , well, maybe its the industry standard. But I'm a trainee accountant now and being an accountant has to be the boringnest job in the world. I cant imagine myself doing this for one whole year cos its not challenging(in my own point of view),its full of doing the almost the same thing everyday, same formats, same problems,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Communications Calling by tundebabzy(op): 1:31pm On Oct 27, 2008
@dove.Well thats one point of view. But if you think of it, they all follow a pattern of work tool to occupation which makes it all the more confusing. Your own choice of choosing based on it being vocational or not, well i don't know. You forgot that cleaner isn't exactly a white collar job or a vocational job either. Sha, i chose A also during the test not because its the only vacational job out of the list but because a saw is used to cut,so is the scissors. The rest aren't

Meanwhile, the maths is not all those crazy GMAT questions. You can call them basic maths like questions on triangles, proportions and stuff like that. Calculations can be easily done in your head. You won't need to write anything. hope my reply isnt too late
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Communications Calling by tundebabzy(op): 4:28pm On Oct 22, 2008
Pick the option with the closest relationship to
SAW:CARPENTER
a. SCISSORS:TAILOR
b. SETHOSCOPE:DOCTOR
c. TYPEWRITER:TYPIST
d. BROOM:CLEANER
e. CAMERA:PHOTOGRAPHER
ubiaru,if this still does not look like a question to you then don't bother going for the test because what i posted was exactly one of the questions i was asked. there were like 5 more of this kind of question. And there are different questions for every single batch.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Test: Is It For Real? by tundebabzy: 4:23pm On Oct 22, 2008

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Communications Calling by tundebabzy(op): 9:58am On Oct 22, 2008
@owen.try this:
SAW:CARPENTER
a. SCISSORS:TAILOR
b. SETHOSCOPE:DOCTOR
c. TYPEWRITER:TYPIST
d. BROOM:CLEANER
e. CAMERA:PHOTOGRAPHER
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Insight Communications Calling by tundebabzy(op): 4:24pm On Oct 20, 2008
@queen.make i no lie you, expo no go help.each batch has its seperate questions and the questions won't be a piece of cake that i can assure you of. Just be fast and don't expect questions from all those crazy GMAT otherwise you'd be very dissappointed. If you don't believe me, ask others who have done the test
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Recruiters (kimberly-ryan) by tundebabzy: 10:23am On Oct 17, 2008
I/m not trying to discourage you or anything but the truth is that if you are not called when the company promises to call you, and you have not changed the contact means you gave to them then its very likely that they would not call you again. I'm not saying all hope is lost but you should keep searching in other places and keep praying instead of bothering yourself about one particular interview.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Advise Needed Very Urgent by tundebabzy: 2:59pm On Sep 23, 2008
Good thinking. Be wary of those wanting to help you secretely. Meanwhile, i think its a good idea but it takes more effort than you think. You have to seriously monitor the business otherwise you might throw your 500k into the wind. thats why some people say its better to mind your own businesses (no pun intended). Put in place serious controls and be very watchfull and alert because of the things that salesgirls do. If possible, get a good accountant (chartered accountant) to advice you.
You will not be sacked but i think its also time you start thinking about mutual funds and stocks. Stocks might not be a good idea now because share prices are tumbling and this may take another couple of months to start picking up again but they still remain a good long term option. Also, start making arrangements to add value to yourself like getting a higher degree,a professional degree and be generally hardworking. This helps so that even if one eventually loses a job (GOD FORBID and it will not be your portion in JESUS name!), you will still have relevance and be marketable in the job market.
Your idea is not a bad one. Just make sure you monitor the business well, make sure you put in a lot of devotion to it. Also start making arrangements for getting a higher degree or professional certification. And also try to buy stocks or mutual funds. Mutual funds are a better option. If you don't know about mutual funds, check online or ask friends. I invest by buying mutual funds and i use ARM.
Good luck and keep looking unto GOD.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Stb-mccann Lagos - Help by tundebabzy: 4:37pm On Jul 25, 2008
STB McCan is an advertising company therefore you should know they pay well. I cant quite remember exactly how much they pay but its over 60k for entry level.
Christianity EtcRe: Adeboye Shops For $20m Jet by tundebabzy: 3:20pm On Jul 18, 2008
Someone said something funny-'why use a private jet when you can use a commercial one'. Guy,why buy a car when you can trek? OK thats extreme. Why buy a car when you can enter danfo and molue.

Another person said something about carbon emmissions. Na wa for you o. Think well and you would know that is not a valid excuse.

I think there is just one problem here. The abundant poverty around us seems to be affecting our reasoning. I liken this to what a poor farmer(i'm not saying farmers are supposed to be poor;and i'm not saying farmers are poor) would say if after eating a 'heavy' 100 naira meal at a buka comes out to see the a Golden Gate restaurant receipt with food paid for amountin to 35,000 naira.
I.m sure RCCG assets are worth up to $500million so whats all the furore all about.
Its a big sum but please the man is a blessed man of God. Didnt the God that you serve promise you prosperity? My idea of prosperity is being able to get what you want without immediatelly developing grey hair. And dont talk about using other people's money. They did not beg anybody and they are not forcing anybody. The funny thing is that about 20% of people that will donate (that is if the story is true) will account for 80% of the money.
Christianity EtcRe: Adeboye Shops For $20m Jet by tundebabzy: 4:15pm On Jul 17, 2008
Tgirl4real:
Tayo-D, its your turn to answer.

You want us to analyse the motive behind the purchase of Jet. Firstly, when asked, the motive will be to furtherance the work of the ministry becauce he has branches all over the world. Can you give me scriptures to substantiate the vision of RCCG to build churches on every 5mins drive.
I'm 100% sure that if the jet is bought(that is if the story is true) it will be for commercial purposes
Christianity EtcRe: Adeboye Shops For $20m Jet by tundebabzy: 4:11pm On Jul 17, 2008
If Jesus was poor because he wanted to. Abi? If you think you should be poor because you are following Jesus, good for you. I'm sure Jesus doesn't want us to be poor. My bible says so
Christianity EtcRe: Adeboye Shops For $20m Jet by tundebabzy: 3:59pm On Jul 17, 2008
Tgirl4real:
I get all ya problem. You can't come to terms with the fact that your honourable man of gawd is a thief. Sorry, that is what the bible has labelled them. angry
WOW! Pastor Adeboye a thief?
But why do people believe that God's people shouldn't have the best things i life?

[quote author=gabe_logan link=topic=151688.msg2519913#msg2519913 date=1216306007]again, nigerians and their blind loyalty to their pastors, GO's and other generic names these people have coined to continually milk the masses.
i said it before, christians are supposed to be christ-like. when Jesus christ was preaching the gospel, the only possesions he had were his comb, his robe and his bowl (which he used to drink water) and it was written somewhere that he even gave his bowl to someone who was in need.
nowadays our supposed men of God are so flashy and wealthy, one begins to wonder if they are really propogating the word of God or enriching themselves.
What charity do they have? they build schools with the congregations money and run the schools as their personal business, charge exhorbitant fees beyond the reach of the averge and above-avergae nigerians and there is no provision for scholarship for "members of their congregation" (Gamine u go covenant, upon hw u know book reach, they give u scholarship?).
i was appaled when i was watching a documentary the other day and a nigerian female was deported from finland for prostitution. she had only the clothes she was deproted with in her and she approached the reedemed christian church for assistance and rehabilitation, instead this people were asking for money. it was the catholic church that took her in.

Jesus that i know is and wasn't poor.
Meanwhile where did you get your inventory of Jesus' possessions?
