ISIS fanatics have executed 19 women for refusing to have sex with its fighters, a Kurdish official has said. He claimed the women were being held hostage in Islamic State's stronghold of Mosul, Iraq, which the terror group seized in June last year. Meanwhile a UN envoy investigating Islamic State's vile sex trade has said 'girls get peddled like barrels of petrol' and one can be bought by six different men. She also verified a disturbing ISIS document which suggested the extremists sell the Yazidi and Christian women and children they have abducted, with girls aged just one to nine-years-old fetching the most money. Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) loyalists in Egypt have threatened to murder a Croatian hostage kidnapped outside Cairo if the government of President Abdel Fattah al Sisi does not release female prisoners. In a video released on Wednesday bearing the hallmarks of the lurid snuff films made by the extremist group in Syria and Iraq, a 30 year old man identified as Tomislav Salopek read a statement as he knelt at the feet of a knife-wielding militant. “They want to substitute me with the Muslim women arrested in Egyptian prisons,” he said. “This matter has to be achieved within 48hrs from now. Three passengers and the pilot of a Saudi-owned private jet have died after the aircraft crashed into a car auction near Farnborough, Hampshire. The small private jet overshot the runway at Blackbushe Airport on the Hampshire-Surrey border, before ploughing into the neighbouring car auction site, destroying at least 15 cars. The World Health Organization warns thousands of people in Africa could die of meningitis next year if drug companies do not increase production of life-saving meningitis C vaccines. WHO says Africa is at risk of a large meningitis outbreak next year in the 25 countries that constitute Africa’s meningitis belt. The U.N. agency is calling for vaccine manufacturers to step up production by 5 million doses before the 2016 meningitis season starts in January. Saif al-Islam, the most prominent son of Libya's slain leader, Muammar Gaddafi, has been sentenced to death by firing squad. He was sentenced in absentia on Tuesday in Tripoli along with eight other senior members of the former regime, overthrown in 2011. They were accused of war crimes and suppressing peaceful protests during the revolution, a state prosecutor said in early June. A small plane crashed into a row of houses, killing three people and injuring five others in the Japanese city of Tokyo. The Plateau state government on Saturday said eight people died and 101 others injured in the gas explosion at the Plateau State Water Board early Saturday. A 65.2 metre (214-foot) steamship called the John V. Moran has been discovered in Lake Michigan, more than a century after it sank. A team with the Michigan Shipwreck Research Association located the vessel off the coast of Muskegon last month during a sonar search. Because the shipwreck sits under 365 feet of lake water, officials with the association decided to wait for the water to warm up before performing a dive. However, Doris was certain that it was some funny error considering she is nearly 100 years old. A huge fire broke out on the freeway in California yesterday July 17, The fire, which erupted just after 2:30 p.m. and quickly grew to 3,500 acres, shut down the highway in both directions. By evening, it had destroyed 20 vehicles and at least four homes, and was bearing down on mountain communities. Most lanes of the 15 were open by Saturday morning, but hundreds of firefighters were still on the lines. In a region where brush fires are a way of life, the scene on the main route to Las Vegas was surreal. Many of those who fled their vehicles panicked, unsure of where to find safety as they watched the land around them burn. Cars, trucks and even a boat went up in flames on the freeway.
