So I went out to chill will friends at this hotel just about 4 streets away from my house. While we were there downing beer, there's this area bros that we bought beer for and we were discussing politics, football and just about every topic we could but then we noticed he has been drinking just 2 bottles after like 3 hours, so we were bros na wetin happen. He was like I don't like beer I prefer woman to beer. We laughed over it, then minutes later he was like let me call Yinka, I initially read no meaning to it until my ex who got married earlier this this year walked into the hotel and straight she went into the slaughter room. Rats and rodents burrow or breaks the sewer line, a fully concretized tank may be hard to get in, but then you have to accept not all septic tanks are fully concretized, the waste tank being connected to the septic tank is a giveaway for rodents as it's not concretized for it to serve the purpose of soaking away waste. With this connection a lot of things can freely breed in the 2 tanks.
You points are valid sir, he surely needs to check other options, but going by the fact that he saw the snake close to the toilet give credence to the fact that it may be from the septic tank

I don't think the soak away option is right unless it has a broken pipe. I still don't get how snake get into a sealed concretize soak away. If snakes is inside soak away (which I don't know how it gets there when its not earth worm) it will enter septic tank, so how does it connect the pipe to chamber to WC?

Maybe I can be corrected on this.

He should check every locks, windows, holes, broken piping, even his manhole in his house.

Yes it kills everything in your soak away, but they'll be back in just a few weeks. Best bet is have a plumber work on re-piping and disconnecting the tanks

Your plumber definitely knows where the septic tank (soak away) and waste tank are connected to each other. They're connected out of ignorance that once d soak away fills up the waste tank will come to use or in other instances to safe cost of piping differently for each tank.
The mosquitoes n roaches breeds in the soak away in millions then find their way thru d pipes connecting it to the waste tank and from there they come out of the floor drain in the bathroom or toilet. Other things you may notice on hot sunny days is unpleasant smell from your bathroom even if it's clean.

That snake is probably a loner that chased rats into one of the soak away, but you can't totally ignore the fact that there may be more. The chemical will kill anything in the soak away that, but like you said they'll always come back. Best bet is to call a plumber to check if the soak away and waste are connected. You need to disconnect it, if connected. And going by your experience I am 100% sure they're connected. But professionally the two shouldn't be connected, as the waste is nothing but a breeding colony for mosquitoes, roaches and insects. The two should be runned with separate pipes.vThat's the only way to stop this unwanted visitors.

@Op firstly, there are rats in your house, there's a need to rid your house of rats "number 1 thing that attracts snakes". 2. This snake chase a rat into your soak away and couldn't find its way out, so it follow the only place where with its forked tongue sense oxygen, which is your toilet bowl. Many do believe that the water in the closet go all along to the soak away, NO it ends right after the U-bend that's why if you open the chamber at the back you find it dry. 3 get bottles of sniper and empty it into your toilet bowl and flush at least twice to kill other crawling stuffs breeding in your soak away. 4. Your 2 soak away pit are connected together, pls get a plumber to disconnect it, or expect more crawling visitors plus you may find out you spend more treating malaria as you will have mosquitoes and other insects infestation as result of your connected soak away.
