I want to believe that you are educated enough to know that:

1.The constitution is supreme to any
electoral law.

2.Buhari had not breached the section 138e you've quoted and it is even absolutely irrelevant to the fact that Buhari was well qualified to run for presidency.

3.What would be fundamental in nature in respect of section 138e is forgery. The fact that Buhari claimed his certificates were with military cannot be said to be a lie because a witness said they were not requested to submit certificates.Even that cannot be fundamental as to the qualification of Buhari, since the law did not require submission of certificates.

It is quite comical and very clownish to expect the court to declare Atiku president based on Buhari's qualification
Better still Buhari is above the law!
PoliticsRe: “No Law Requires Me To Produce My Certificate” - Buhari To Tribunal by tuniski: 9:49pm On Aug 21, 2019
Amah70:
You said any other qualification accepted by INEC.

A basic O Level certificate is required before any other superior certificate is adjudged valid.

Any other certificate adjudged to be equivalent to O Level must have a certificate to convince the Judges that the owner of the certificate truly got the required education before the certificate.
Buhari never claimed any other equivalent. Qualification neither did he attach prove of such.

I just like the quality of lawyers buhari has. They don't make noise but they get the job done. Atiku media lawyers are just entertaining themselves on AIT after every tribunal section. Look at the point olanipekun was throwing ....at the end everything will be judged according to constitutional provision....Atiku cannot amend the constitution in his server...is a lost case already
Those ain't point for justice but technical judgement. Everyone knows only technical judgement will save Buhari/apc. It won't be the end of the world.

Stop following the herd. There is no rotation in democracy.
What are you talking of is called inclusiveness.
And inclusiveness demands participation, wisdom. tact and open mind.
Is anybody stopping Igbos from becoming President?
The first test of their worth should be from PDP, the party they have been voting since 1999. If PDP doesn't deem them worth it, why would APC or SW and North whom they see as slaves and animals respectively vote them?
There is no rotation in democracy.
You have to participate, have tact, be reasonable and demonstrate open heart. Just ask an average Hausa whom he preferred between an Igbo man and a Yoruba man, you will understand.

Every tribe in Nigeria suffers from one injustice or the other. And Every tribe has at one time or the other aligned with another.
First republic, it was a North and East alliance that formed government.
Second republic it was still North and East.
Third republic it was still them.
Nobody called them betrayers because they didn't vote Awolowo.
No, for the first term that Yorubas will align with North, they called us unprintable names.
They should contest.
Let's wait and see.
Narrow and simplistic!
PoliticsRe: 2023: Why Zoning May Not Work In APC – Ganduje by tuniski: 11:18am On Aug 21, 2019
ItsMeAboki:
Unfortunately, he is quite right while you are wrong; because Democracy is not based on equal rotation but anchored on the principle of complete freedom of the electorate; hence its definition as, 'Government of the ppl for the ppl by the ppl' - where the voter's choice is supreme and guaranteed to the effect he choose whoever he wants, from available candidates, without any encumbrances whatsoever.

What we have, by way of zoning, is a forced distortion and therefore an anti democratic system, imposed on Nigerians by the real 'Born to Rule' from the south, who must rule by any means including changing of the rules and definition of democracy - or else sabotage the corporate existence of Nigeria as a country.

All these agitations for secession, restructuring and gimmicks such as geopolitical zones, rotational presidency etc are powerful tools of blackmail deployed by southern politicians to advance their personal ambition towards the presidency.

Unfortunately, their ambition does not also stop at the use divisive fault lines of tribe, religion, region and of course the media, which they almost completely own and control (even though at the expense of our national unity) to manipulate the many minds of our gullible youths - who are already pre-programmed to hate at the slightest excuse in order to comfort themselves for their own under achievement.

Countries practising true democracy do not zone, irrespective of their size and diversity; if this country is to follow suit then we must be ready to shun all sentiments and allow anybody to stand for election based on his/her acceptability and popularity, and Nigerians the freedom to choose whoever they want.
Narrow perceptive!

The choice of party members. A party that feels appreciated by Igbos would give them the candidacy. A party that feels otherwise can do whatever it wants.
There is no rotation in democracy, either have sense or get used to trash.
No emotional rants about being hated when all you do is call people unprintable names everyday.
There is rotation in democracy! Stop the narrowness. Democracy only feeds into the prevailing sentiments/emotions. Or you think parties just like fielding a religiously balanced and sectionally tickets?
PoliticsRe: 2023: Why Zoning May Not Work In APC – Ganduje by tuniski: 7:11am On Aug 21, 2019
Jimasun:
Define democracy...
Nobody is stopping Igbos from ruling Nigeria.
They have the right to contest, the rest is left to Nigerians.
If you want the vote of someone, talk to him, let him know how your candidature would benefit.
Convince people that vote and you get it.

There is no compulsion in politics.
Majority carry the vote.
Learn how to play politics
Stop being ungrateful to people who accommodates you even when they don't get same treatment from you.
I hope you people grow above bitterness
The choice only becomes the nigerians' after the parties have chosen candidates. Democracy is equally rotation, it is whatever works in a clime. Had it been just number, southern Nigeria as a whole will perennially struggle to be president to no avail!

The moniker you quoted is an IPOB and Biafra supporter.
BTW, nothing bad in seeking the dissolution of Nigeria. Nigeria is not meant to be one.
As much as I loathe some Igbos for their protracted bitterness, the fact is, Nigeria is a ruse.
Whether the moniker is IPOB,Herdsman, afenifere or what have you is completely secondary! He is Nigerian and Nigeria is not a ruse. Just as USA defines unity and strength in diversity so will Nigeria in the fullness of time impact the world in balancing westernized and arabized worlds!

His post is practically a eulogy to the Igbo. Didn't expect that from Ganduje.
Igbos have brought so much glory and positive recognition to Nigeria.

And one irrelevant useless idiot somewhere would sit down and say Igbo will not or should not be president.

Una dey mad.
Only those limited by exposure and filled with ethno-religious bigotry dismiss the ibos instead of seeing them as blessing to Nigeria. Even worse, is the knack of some ibos too who have been in only their zone to scream break Nigeria as a slogan to every problem!

The philosophy of the supreme court currently tends to technicality rather substantive justice. Obvious injustice gets away under technicalities yet, we want a better nation.

Tinubu ,the Lagos Jargaban ,.. OBJ withheld Lagos monthly allocation, subjecting the lagosian public workers to months of untold hardships, despite the court order, mandating him to release the said money ,to which he refused, not until when the late Musa Yar'adua came that he listened to the court order and subsequently released the money.he went as further to victimized Tinubu using EFCC , saying he was corrupt and on several occasions published amount of money he siphon and the domiciliary account, both in Nigeria and abroad, even sue him to court, but in the end he came out , unscathed ..u ask for it ,and now u got it
Tinubu's matter was on local govt creation and even when they were termed Developmet areas, OBJ stubbornly and wrongly too refused to release lagos money. All in all, OBJ's efcc was essentially focused on pdp states with some governors unconstitutionally removed. The cases of Dariye. (plateau),Ladoja(oyo),Alameisia (bayelsa) tafa baloun IGP and even senate leadership.

PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Strikes Out Atiku, PDP’s Appeal by tuniski: 8:14pm On Aug 20, 2019
engineerboat:
It's an interlocutory appeal that was struck out, it has nothing to do with the main petition. It's in respect of PDP's appeal against the tribunal's refusal to allow it file a reply to APC's application. The decision will be of no effect even if granted,

The matter (main Petition) at the tribunal is already at the address stage so even if the Supreme Court decides PDP has the right of reply, it would amount to nothing because the tribunal won't go back to that stage, therefore it has been overtaken by events.
