dammiecool: Guy I think say u go pick what I meant, d gist remains dat Buhari a muslim of CPC lost to Jonathan a southerner n a christian from d south, Atiku Abubakar a muslim lost d PDP presidential ticket to Jonathan a southerner n a christian. Let me say it again u cant be too sure of anything yet 2023 is still far. From position of incumbency, a southerner can defeat a northerner. However, from opposition where every vote double Count, a core northerner is the ace to winning the presidency. Pdp to play that card in 2023 power to remain in the North. |

GavelSlam: There's no deeper picture.
Is it not the same PDP that resisted the use of card readers in 2015 and even up till this 2019 round of elections that we are talking about?
For 16 years they were writing results in Anenih's house, Rivers and Delta state were churning out millions of votes.
For one month PDP has been sourcing for what they can actually protest about, with or without merit.
Rubbish.
Even Gbenga Daniel has abandoned the party and you are talking about deepening our democratic process.
 Off point! |

GavelSlam: And let's assume it does.
How does it make Atiku president? It makes for inconclusive election and as Atiku's team claim he had 18m+ valid votes as against buhari's 16m+ vote. Let them establish their case and let's see how it ends. Atiku must not be president but, democracy and rule of law must be deepened. Yours is the narrowness of who be president not the bigger picture of democratic gains and evolution. |

Fayose will be the next person to join the Next Level train, FFK is indirectly saying he will soon abandon the sinking ship since his brothers and friends are already deserting the ship. Wait for saturday and if as expected kano, sokoto, adamawa, rivers, benue and bauchi are added to pdp, you will know pdp Is more alive than any party in Nigeria put together. |

ihatesycophant: Indifferences in few polling units cannot render an election invalid. Supreme court had made decisions on that. We're talking of roughly 170000 polling unit and someone contesting less than 500. It's insignificant. You don't get it, do you? PDP had agents in all the PUs and they are essentially witnesses who generated the alternate figures the pdp might be relying on. What its needs to prove is aggregation of violation and alteration. |

Politics › Re: Atiku Lines Up 400 Witnesses, Asks Tribunal To Sack Buhari, Declare Him Winner by tuniski: 11:35am On Mar 19, 2019 |
Indispensable85: The way you guys reason sometimes is really poor. We're talking about election petition tribunal, you're talking about INEC decision. This is a court for crying out loud. You guys are too emotional that's why you can never learn anything. So you think 400 witnesses will upturn a presidential result? Many governorship election petition cases have witnessed more than 1,000 testifiers without any success. By the time these 400 witnesses come under intense cross examination more than half will be crumbled. Are you kidding me?400 witnesses for a presidential election? Nonsense! You guys are very poor in deduction! Again, should a State collation officer step forward to recant results declared in a state as being doctored, that is beyond gathering the electorate of the state as witnesses. Case of widespread malpractice requires significant proportion of the electoral constituency while falssification/alteration of result in the first instance requires event/happenings at collation points which are very small. Again, the case might be targeted at specific states to wipe out opponent's victory margins. Just allow the case to roll no need to agitate. It is democracy and the rule of law. |
Politics › Re: Atiku Lines Up 400 Witnesses, Asks Tribunal To Sack Buhari, Declare Him Winner by tuniski: 11:26am On Mar 19, 2019 |
ihatesycophant: He has to get minimum of witnesses from half of the polling units across the nation. The 400 is too meager and cannot test the water. The petition would be thrown out outrightly for lack of merit. Not so fast, allow him too prove his case. He might not be targeting the PU but, the collation points with hard evidence of alterations/falsifications. Let me ask you; between gathering 100k Witnesses at PUs and/or 100s collation officers as witnesses with evidence of alteration, which is more potent? |

KGD10: Mimiko was in PDP. He was Jonathan right hand man. Say what you know.
One fact you don't know is Mimiko is highly reserved and not as loud as the likes of Fayose hence he needed someone like Tinubu to make him popular but he fvcker up. Anyway, what annoyed me the most is him costing us dangote's Refinery. WAS in pdp! We are talking current issue and you are talking past tense. Haba, pls don't get it confused Mimiko is a correct politician and leader nothing like doom for him in or out of power. |
Politics › Re: Ondo’s Ministerial Slot: Mimiko Upsets Permutations - Vanguard by tuniski: 10:44am On Mar 19, 2019 |
KGD10: It's really unfortunate for him. I wished he had teamed up with Tinubu and make hay while the sun shine but I think he didn't expect Tinubu's party to take over the federation then. His foolishness cost Ondo state dangote's Refinery because he had teamed up with Jonathan rather than Tinubu but today, he's irrelevant in PDP. With all his good works and infrastructure in Ondo state, if he had capped it with dangote's Refinery, his name would have been set on pedal stone. What a shame. Mimiko is not in pdp. By the way do many of you always declare doom for a politician once his/her party is not in power yet, cry no party ideology ? Only one party will win at a time. APC is only 4yrs old at the center while. Mimiiko has been around the corridor of power for longer. Kini big deal. If all these names are Buhari's A-team cabinet then next level will be crap! |

Politics › Re: Atiku Lines Up 400 Witnesses, Asks Tribunal To Sack Buhari, Declare Him Winner by tuniski: 10:33pm On Mar 18, 2019 |
senatordave1: That's where the issue is, a witness can only testify about event in a PU(according to SC), the number of witnesses must have a significant effect on the testimony, 400+ is insignificant in about population size of 170000+, that is less than 5%, SC will not cancel such election even if rigging is clearly proven.
This is where me and you usually get into a squabble.there are a lot of things you obviously dont, you dont know much about election petition cases and you claim to know when you are empty.you dont ever accept your limitations.the supreme court and the constitution had established how election cases cam be proven, its not about quality but quantity.it can only be established polling unit by polling unit and each unit is treated specially.atiku has failed Leave the matter after all, only one person's statement led to the withholding of Okorochas' certificate of return and, one person led to the uturn in bauchi. Witnesses are rated. |
