Nice, clean job DerrickM. However, you should work on your choice of colors. They are too saturated. Don't choose exact hues. Choose a slightly faded version of the color you have in mind.

I also noticed a sharp antialiasing filter (probably catmull rom). That's why you have black lines around your bright areas. To correct that, go to your color mapping tab, choose subpixel mapping. If that doesn't remove those black lines completely, choose clamp and use the default value.

One more thing is your map tiling in two of your first two images. They appear out of scale.
