PoliticsRe: Abacha’s Son Set To Join Pdp : May Contest 2011 Guber by tymoti(m): 11:18am On Jun 24, 2009
back2back:
Gbam,  What is good for the OBJ is also good for Abacha and good for other Nigerians.

Facts:

OBJ stole confirmed $16billion from power generation.

Abacha stole confirmed $3billion from FG special account.

OBJ daughter, a convicted fraud-woman is a senator, why cant Abacha son be a governor??

Simply learn to differentiate between facts, fallacy and fantansy.
Is there no possibility that he would want to prove critics wrong?

PoliticsRe: All Nigerians Are Corrupt, Is This A Government Problem Alone? by tymoti(m): 1:18pm On Jun 12, 2009
Most Nigerians are corrupt, we glorify corrupt leaders.

When I wrote the topic: How will you feel if your child was a thief like Obj and Ibori, most people said they were indifferent

Then came the twist in the story. After berating for over thirty minuites, he ended his speech by saying, ", that is why I have decided to train my children to any level so that they can be eligible to vie for big political posts. do you know these crooks were children of poor men,now their suffering has ended and their children will never suffer". This when my alertness increased, before now my mind was in more important places even though I continued the conversation with grunts and nods.

PoliticsHow Would You Feel If Your Child Was A Thief by tymoti(op):
Interesting, how we are so quick to criticize others while deep down we as guilty of what we are so turned off about.

Today's topic  is really about that happened recently on my way to lagos. The passenger sitting next to me in a quick trip of 45 minuites from Benin to Lagos spent most of the discussion time complaining about how corrupt and deceptive our leaders are, how sluggish our president is,numerous reasons why this country is so stagnant, (the list continues unending). The venom of his words drove sleep from my tired eyes, the vigour at which he tried to express his anger was entertaining.

If the people envy these corrupt leaders then what can our fate as a nation be? If fathers wish their children could be in positions where they would also steal money how can things change in our country?

Now men go to church and mosques to give testimonies of political appointments given to them or opportunities to loot the treasury. Sincerely I would like to know how many people have this passenger's mentality?

Sometimes, our leaders take us for fools. Very regrettable!!!!

PoliticsRe: Who Killed Our Democracy? by tymoti(op): 1:26pm On May 27, 2009
It looks like it is a general consensus that we never had a democracy. But there was hope if when the military gave us the opportunity 10 years ago. The selfishness of our elected officers destoryed that opportunity. If we should adopt the russian kind of politics, what would be left for the common man who has never had a say in any thing that concerns this nation?
PoliticsRe: CBN: S’East Rallies Support For Soludo by tymoti(m): 1:11pm On May 27, 2009
some of the colleagues in my office were in a heated argument on this topic. after the many english, the consensus was allowing the north to control our financial institution in addition to the fact that they now control and manage the oil industry is a bad sign. out cries of marginalization would not occur if important fabrics of our national life are spread between the geopolitical zones

Let us not fling ethnicity to the wind, it is part of our politics.
PoliticsRe: CBN Gov: Senator Writes Yar’adua Over Appointment by tymoti(m): 12:52pm On May 27, 2009
let us not forget ethnicity in root deep in our politics and it is important to view policies and national decisions through the lens that is meant to reduce maginilization

some of the colleagues in my office were just arguing how the the north controls our finance sector and oil sector. systematically this government has moved northerners into key positions in important part of national fabrics.

I think this position should not be given to the north, soludo is doing a good job.

Initially, the joy of the birth of a new era made us forget that what we had was meant to fail. Disturbing was the fact that then we had decided that whatever was offered was better than the military.

The culprits are still very much around they are plotting and strategising for 2011. OBJ is heading them as their chairman
