I did so immediately after I got my offer letter, spent a lot on calls & I also emailed. They said as at then that they were giving priority to spring applicants. Because of them I held down my application for 2weeks after I had gotten my documents ready. I had to go ahead and apply because time was flying. Till date, I have still not gotten a response from them regarding that yet they keep emailing us their welcome packages & asking students to send their flight itinerary to them undecided
Well the best thing you can do is watch and pray....

Evening house. Please I have a question. My school made a little error on my address on my offer letter. They wrote 186 instead of 18b, street name was intact just d number. It's a mistake on their part and they admitted it but they said I can only change it when I get to school at the appropriate office. All my documents show 18b. Please I hope there will be no problem regarding this at the embassy. .
Dear gurus over to you please...
For the sake of your application ask if they could send you a letter to cover the mistake made on their part and to state the issue of changing only when at the school already.....

Housemate...Please I email university of Regina to address Nigeria Embassy that they should send me a written letter to enable me include it in my application that when I get to Canada I will pay my school fee.....i pray I get good respond
I seriously doubt if any good response will come from this, reason being that the letter serves as a guarantee to the Canadian government and in the event of you defaulting, they can be held liable..... It just doesn't seem like something any foreign ambassador would willingly put his signature to, especially when you're not on a government sponsored scholarship.

Please we need to calm down and stop stressing over this VO/CBN issue. I have noticed that it's people that just applied or yet to apply that are so concerned about it.
Personally, i believe it is not a general requirement because people have gotten their visas recently without it. Let us just chill so we don't complicate things for and by ourselves.
If you want to pay your tuition, please do by all means but don't be compelled to pay it because some people received a letter asking them to pay theirs.
Don't delay submitting your application because you are looking for circular from CBN or looking for some bank to give you a letter that your funds can be exported.
Don't go and open canadian bank account and put money in it because if things go south, you won't be able to get your money back until you enter Canada o.
What i'll just advice is, have your first year fees and living expenses readily available so IF you get such letter, there won't be room for panic.
Thanks all
God bless for this

I am submitting my application online. How do submit the application online if i have to go to VFS to payhuh
Good evening,

If your application is online, then definitely your payment will be online, if you're going via paper route, then you pay at vfs.

The unit thing you'd do at vfs as an online applicant is your biometrics and submitting it or collecting your passport.
Blessings

Hi, can a current student in New Brunswick Community College or a graduate in this forum help me with the school fees, I got an admission from the school last month and I received a mail of an increase in there tuition fee. I later got some information on the school website on student government fee, insurance, health and some other fees. Are all these fee summed up to give #8450,which is the new tuition fee or payment for insurance and the likes are separate? Thank you as I awaits an insider response on this matter
Requesting this info on this forum will likely get you no answers. Please do well to contact the school and request the necessary information,..... Happy sunday and God bless

Hello everyone, i recently joined this group and I have been following the contributions made by everyone in the group quietly.
I got admission for a masters program in mount saint vincent university, for September 2017. I applied for my study permit on the 2nd of May 2017 . I have paid my full tuition and also deposited for my accomodation. My dad is my sponsor with an account statement of 5.1 and some other supporting documents.
My worry is that in 2013 i was denied a UK student visa based on the following reasons (a) that my school is based on affordability not on quality (b) that I said i was going to be staying with my grand pa but I don't know the street he lives on(c) that my course of study has no relationship with my previous course of study (d) that I said at my return I would join the family business but was uncertain on what the because was , in my application I indicated all these , but I am scared that I may be judged based on the following point highlighted above I am so scared.
No need to be. While important for you to show that you've been refused visa before from the UK, I know it won't factor negatively into your application Canada. Every application is reviewed on its own merit.

I guess the only time the rejection may be detrimental is if it was on a criminal or fraud related issue....

My view..

I submitted my application via online route Yesterday and I haven't received Biometrics mail yet. Just to confirm, If I would have to wait for a biometric Request Letter before going for Biometrics.

Response Please, thanks.
You have to wait for the biometrics letter before you can go, cos they would even ask for it at the gate before your entry into the building.

He is trying to advise you not to use nicknames for official purposes. You can use nicknames for nairaland and co but NOT for official purposes. Your official/professional E-mail address should comprise both your first name and/or last name (not nickname). That 'little' mistake can also affect one when one go for job interviews.

In today's technological world, your email address is in many cases your first impression. Having an inappropriate email address like hottiekisses@email.com or TruPlaya4Lfe@email.com is the same as showing up to a job interview in your pajamas, so unprofessional. Now is the time to make a change to your email address because it is really the very first thing people see when they communicate with you online, even before your name. You don't want to get automatically tossed in the trash because your first impression is IHateWorking@email.com.
While correcting people though we need to do it in a matured manner, his correction in my humble opinion is high-handed and most of the wordings used, totally uncalled for.. if we say we are here to help and that is how every person replies to issues, would we really be helping anyone.... Lets watch our words please, as always they also give an impression of whom the person is and I'm sorry to say not impressed with the manner in which he made his correction.

Am telling you bro. When I saw the email, I was excited thinking they've come up with a solution. Lol and behold, they only wrote to acknowledge receipt of my mail.

I called them though. I read the IRCC mail to them, they however told me that if they get similar emails from others, they will look into the matter. They referred me to their previous circulars and publications on restrictions on forex. They told me that CBN cannot be moved into action solely on my request alone and that similar concerns from other people will give them necessary motivation to contact the Canadian Embassy for clarification and possible resolution of the matter. According to the person I spoke with, one Jide, he said CBN cannot guarantee separate or individual letters of assurance for thousands of applicants as envisaged by IRCC as it is not practicable and as such there has to be some form of official memo between CBN and Canadian Embassy.

On final note, the man told me that they once received a correspondence from the Canadian Embassy stating that Nigerians are facing serious challenges paying their tuition and living comfortably in Canada and that often times than not they ended up violating their visa conditions.

The guy asked if I was a laywer lol.....I don't know what he intends to make out of that question.
Bottom line we should fold our arms and hope that others disturb them with this issue. It is only then that cbn can react.
Probably plenty persons from the thread should bombard them with same request, then they'd be forced to act..... Hopefully.

Hello mates, I got an admission with Fanshawe college. My challenge now is that their account details where my tuition payment will be made to was not specified. Instead, they instructed that i make the payment through flywire. I have been to Diamond bank, Eco bank and UBA if they have paid school fees through that medium but d answers were all nil. They don't even have any idea. Pls is there anybody here with similar challenge and how did u overcome that. i need urgent replies pls as my time is running out. Am seriously confused. Regards
The flywire is a payment processor. You open an account on the site and use the details to make your payment. It's pretty straightforward once you sign up, you select where payment is going and how much in CAD after which a list of possible payment methods to flywire will be given which include use of credit card MasterCard and Visa, or the procedure for use of form A from Nigeria. I used a credit card and sent 11k VB card for tuition and part of living and feeding expenses using flywire..... Very straightforward procedure.

Thank you
As explained by @thesoj.... Worked well for me

Document Scanning Tip
To get very high quality scans at a low file size, scan your document directly into the .tif or .tiff format at 300dpi color (don't convert another format to .tif/tiff, scan directly to .tif/.tiff), then use Adobe Acrobat Pro to convert it to PDF, and then finally distill the document. To distill, first convert the PDF to postscript [.ps], and then open the .ps file using Adobe Distiller; Distiller will ask you for the distill quality, choose the “Standard” option. The final PDF file size will shrink considerably but the quality will be super high!

If Canada claims that they're looking for professionals hence the purpose of express entry, I don't see a reason why the vo should then be bothered about an Msc student not coming back hence refusing them visa, it just doesn't add up. I tot it's countries that are doing everything to reduce immigration that should be concerned about your leaving immediately you finish whatever you're coming to do.
I'm just trying to make common sense, I know ee is entirely different from going to study but this is sth I've been wondering and I wonder if I'm the only one that sees it like that.
#JustRanting
While true that Canada is looking for immigrants, they also are not looking for persons who would become liabilities to the country.

Yes it is obvious that they know that 98% of those admitted to the country would not be heading back. home, this doesn't then mean that they'd admit everyone just because you got admission. Which is why they offer pgwp for those who have found it important to study and pass, so as to give them the opportunity to not only improve themselves, but also improve their economy in turn.

Most people who are not convincing about their studies, they know would end up adding absolutely nothing to the betterment of their country. Hence...

For example a 24 year old guy going to study and I'd being sponsored by parents by most standards would seem legit seeing as it is generally believed that no parent would spend so much just got the child to come and go and drop out...

Likewise, a 30-36 going for studies ahn spinnaker by self would probably carry a lot more scrutiny seeing as there are really no guarantees.

Everybody just has to learn to be analytical.......

Please note my example doesn't necessarily show the VO's train of thought, but mine from a purely analytical perspective.

All the best

Hello to everyone in the house! please I am new year and i would need everyone's help. I'm interested in studying masters of public health in a Canadian university. Please I would like to know some not too expensive canadian schools one can apply to
Good morning,
While we are all here to help each other cross the hurdles from admission to trv, most helpful hands here would expect some work to be done by you before hitting up the forum for further information. If u use Google and input your search criteria, I am pretty sure you will find all the answers you seek. After using google , narrow down to about 6 schools and members would be happy to help breakdown into atleast 3 for you to apply to( never put all your eggs in one basket).

Sorry if this isn't what you were expecting.
