nuelnuel: Please does anyone have an answer to this question concerning the validity of covid-19 tests. For my flight from Lagos to Toronto, I will be transiting through Amsterdam. Must my test be within 72 hours before departure from Lagos or must it be within 72 hours before departure from Amsterdam? Departure from Nigeria. But if you'll be transiting through Amsterdam you'll have to do a Rapid Antigen Test at least 4hrs before your proposed flight ..... |

shadama: Hello everyone, quick question please in case anyone has an idea. For someone who has a COPR and a sibling in Canada and wants to travel, would they be able to apply for exemption? Or would they need to apply for a visit visa in order to qualify for exemption? I would appreciate any insight into this. You'll apply for written Authorisation. If you have family (extended) who are canadian citizens or PRs . No need to apply for any visit visas. |

adanac13: I have zero tolerance to cold ma'am It's not like BC is hot either .... Lol. It's also cold. May not be as cold as calgary or whatnot, but if the idea is to run away from the cold. Canada isn't the place to try and run away to. Lol. But standard of living is a bit high. One of the most expensive places to live in Canada is BC, Vancouver. Specifics would probably be better(as regards what you wanna know ) |

Adeelijah17: Good morning to you all, kudos to those that has been enlightening us. Please I will like to know which type of Canada programme/ visa type I can apply for that doesn’t attract the Language test exam, faster processing time, safe and then the step by step of starting processing of Canada visa.
Please note, I have never traveled out of Nigeria, I am a graduate with over 13 years of experience, married with children but would like to first travel alone. I look forward to all the responses and advice you will be giving me. God bless us all. Only thing I can think of student visa and that also has its own hurdles ... You can search for the Canada Student Visa Thread to see if it's a better fit. |

ThatCEO: Did my ECA Long ago n I am asking for a friend about this Barter by flutterwave...She has 72k in the account and the transaction was declined by WES ($230CAD).
Is it the balance that is not enough? How much more money should she add to her barter card? Is there there any explanation why d card didn't work? Thanks You will turn the naira to dollar by creating a dollar card. I don't think you can use the Naira card on Barter to make any form of international purchases |

OlakunmiSMELTD: Thank you so much. Now I see, there is a specific range of days value which one must maintain in Canada before been eligible for PR ( which is 1096/31) approximately 3.6 years You need to have stayed in Canada as a permanent Resident for 1096 days before you're eligible for CITIZENSHIP. The process you're going through now is to get the PR. |

Dulles25: Does CES evaluate LLB as a professional degree? I think only IQAS does. NCA last I read informed CES or ICES to stop issuing first pofessional degree for Law degrees. Best you can hope for is for the application to read Bachelor of Laws. That way you can still claim points for professional Degree. |

Gracias08: Hello everyone,
Please between ICQAS and WES which is faster for evaluation? WES is generally faster, but if you're a lawyer you're advised to use IQAS to get favourable outcome on the degree equivalency tool. Up to you though |

Gummygummy: Hello everyone! I’m a tad worried about my proof of funds with the way CAD has been fluctuating. I’ll be submitting my application sometime this week and 4 million naira is all I can spare right now for POF. I’ve been worried sick that with the whole fluctuation going on, it might not be enough. Someone advised I either add an extra 500k to cushion whatever effects the changes might bring(I can’t afford the extra till maybe next year) or decline ITA to buy extra time to add more cash. What do you all kindly suggest?
Secondly my bank reference has no average six months balance like in the CIC format. It was a huge hassle of going to the bank every day for two weeks to get this one. Will a six month bank statement suffice instead? There was hardly any activity in the account these six months though Please as much as possible if you can get dollar on the cheap buy n open a dorm Account and keep in $ so as not to get affected by the fluctuations. Instead of losing the ITA over 500k, why not try n get it. As a loan ? ( Difficult in these times) but no one knows what numbers will be on the crs scores, except the numbers are high enough. |

MisterKings: Thanks a lot for taking time to write down everything. What do you advise someone with only SSCE and no proof of funds because apparently this seems to be limited to people with money if your proof of funds is required to be as high as $13k. And what are the chances of even getting a job over there while living here in Nigeria Get a university degree, work for a bit, start trying to gather Proof of Funds, ultimately there is no way around it. Even if you get a job (highly unlikely considering that its only SSCE) you only get a certain amount of points. The POFs is a non negotiable part of the journey. My advise if the SSCE results are really good, you may go the school route and try for full scholarships...... That's the only way I see it happening. |

Can you choose where to send your passport yourself? plus idnt sending to the UK going to be a bit problematic seeing as they may be going into lockdown soon or are already in lockdown? AyabaS: Congrats mehn! This was a bloody long wait. As at your AOR date, I’d just paid for WES and hadn’t even sent transcripts or thought about IELTS yet I got PPR before you. This journey na real patience backed with prayer. Congrats once again.
PS- do not send your passport to any VFS in Africa, some of us still dey on the matter since o. This goes for all recent PPR recipients. |

Thetherapist: Is it computer base or paper base test. The test in Abuja and Lagos is computer base. They are yet to commence paper base testing in the country. I was able to put a call through to them yesterday and they said computer base testing in other cities should start next month but can't say when the paper base testing would commence. If you are not cool with computer base testing. I would advice you apply for refund and just register with IDP Well on their website if you go as far as September 12 there is paper based IELTS in Lagos. But probably better to call and make enquiries before jumping to make payments. |

Good Morning all, After checking page 1 I saw the price for Medicals at 40,200/adult. Don’t know if this is still what is obtainable at IOM in Lagos.
Can anyone confirm the total amount paid for Medicals. And what are the required documents to hold ?
Thanks |

Last I heard, I was told that the Law School is not a degree awarding body, but a body that one passes through in order to practice in a licensed profession such as trade or vocational schools. Not sure of the veracity though. Sent you a PM request Ebuncrown: Hey guys, so I just checked my IELTS results now
Me Principal Applicant L - 8.0 S - 8.0 R - 7.0 W - 7.0
Spouse L - 8.0 S - 7.5 R - 7.5 W - 7.5
With this scores our CRS scores is 457 if my LLB and Law School certificate is evaluated as 2 or more degrees and
464 if it’s evaluated as a professional degree. Still waiting for my transcript to be sent to ICES for evaluation.
I am considering the option of TEF to boost our scores. I need recommendations on great French schools in Lagos. Also how many points will French add to our CRS. Should I just write IELTS again? Thank you guys |
