Nigeria can control it's borders with central and southern cameroon on the east, Republic of Benin on the west, Niger on the north west, but not Chad & northernmost Cameroon on the north eastern flank.
Boko Haram is still fighting Chad from the south while rebels are pushing from the north.
Am not sure Chadian military, no matter how strong and battle hardened, can contain a war on 2 opposite fronts.
The only way to save the region is for Ecowas and African union to wade into the matter as a matter of urgency otherwise Nigeria will be overwhelmed by the sudden influx in the next couple of months.
