cucumbar: you can’t find a concentration of people from other countries anywhere in Nigeria like you would find in Nairobi. Is it their malls or the presence of international restaurants? Not like here where shoprite is the ultimate, or mr Biggs and tantalizer’s. Nigeria na nonsense jare. We have a long way to go. I visited Westgate mall and Nakumas. I was so devastated when that suicide attack occurred at the mall given the bond I had for it. Beautiful place. You wouldn't even feel you are in another ethnic vicinity. Just international and cosmopolitan feeling. You fit in. |

magicminister: I’ve been to Kenya 4 times in 2 years.
What aspect do we surpass them except in population and meaningless GDP that does not translate to better life for the people of Nigeria??
Through out my stay in Kenya, I didn’t experience a single power outage. Through out my life in nigeria, I’ve never had 1 week of uninterrupted power.
Is it security? Is it roads?
Beyond Nairabi, Mombasa is so beautiful... kisumu and malindi are equally better experience than my whole life in Nigeria. Don’t knock it if you haven’t been there bro. Go and see and be proud of our fellow Africans. I have been there too. These our Naija brothers no go gree. The first day I landed in Nairobi, I was ashamed of Nigeria. Truth be told. |

TSRC: The most developed city in Kenya I'd Nairobi. With the YouTube videos I have seen of Nairobi, it is just a less populated Lagos. Abuja is better by a long mile.
Most of the benefits countries like Ghana, Kenya have over Nigeria is because of significantly less pressure on public infrastructure. That is why life seems easier and better. Even electricity demand can be traced to population and geographical size. That is why India still suffer power cuts.
If you compare low populated States like Akwa ibom or cross river or even Abuja with these countries, you would find our there is no real difference.
Akwaibom, Delta ,Bayelsa, Rivers, Niger Lagos, have the capacity to generate 24 hrs electricity for their States non stop if they feed it to their States only. Many parts of akwaibom already enjoy almost 24 hrs light. You want to make your comparison based on YouTube videos? Come on. I have been to Nairobi and I was surprised, if you want to bring in the issue of population then suffice to say they have more high rise buildings than Lagos which baffled me. I think where this east and South African countries have sway is the fact that they have indigenous whites who due to the nice climate built the place for their abode. Nairobi to be fair can be called an international city. The capital is full of foreigners. |

anonymous1759: Those state you mentioned is their standard of living high over there or just electricity we take a look at everything...
Villages and rural areas enjoys electricity compared to the city. One of reasons is because it under developed and the consumption rate is poor over there.
Let me ask a question. Can you compare the most developed state in Nigeria in all areas. Electricity, food health care ect. With Kenya? Nairobi would beat Lagos hands down in terms of infrastructure and planning. I have been there and was surprised. one thing I noted is their capital being controlled by foreigners. There is a strong Indian presence is Nairobi and the indigent Kenyans work for them (Sorry to say more like slaves). There is a level of discrimination from my personal experience. |

TSRC: Kenya is the size of Niger state
If i isolate Uyo and Abuja which corresponds to Kenya in geographically, then Kenya becomes very underdeveloped compared to those places. You are not correct at all on this. Kenya is a big country geographically. |

musicwriter: Indeed, I said Germany ''lost their African colonies, except Namibia.'' That should tell you they had colonies.
Talking about brutality, Germany was actually the most humane of them all, and that's why they lost their colonies because they didn't rule people into submission with iron hand like Britain. If Germany unleashed the same brutality as Britain and France, you'll probably have been speaking German now. Its for that reason that they maintained Namibia, when they realized to rule the natives, maximum savagery must be unleashed on them to bring them to submission. But it was already late.
The rule of thumb: The more brutal an empire, the more colony they acquired. The more humane an empire, the less colony they acquired. Germany lost their colonies and even the country was occupied and divided into west and east due to the conquest of hitler after the Second World War. |

JonDon12: You Nigerians are stupid. What is wrong with this incinerator. It is a mini one just for the school environment. What do you expect? Some titanium built bunker with 5G Internet connection. Incineration is an exothermic reaction. It does not need a power source just a controlled environment.
This is why Nigeria will never be great. Anytime someone starts to crawl, ethnic loyalties induces blindness to that achievement. From my perspective, in this era of global warming and the harmful effect of noxious chemicals released from burning those plastics, it is at this stage the students should be thought practically on recycling. Just have a look at what they are burning and given the size of the incinerator imagine what is foreseen to be burnt there. Not right at this stage. That's my perspective. |

The so-called light skin in Akwa-Cross are actually Ibibio, not Calabar. I cannot differentiate between Igbo and Ibibio, but I can differentiate between Igbo and Efik/Annang. Ibibio can never and never came from the Igbo, if we want to carry out chronological tracing based on the Arochukwu settlement, the Ibibios actually preceded them. |

Buckubuck: You're the one who needs to get facts. Amaju said that he was not nominated caf president due to differences in his post. So it's obvious he has issues with the caf president It could also be obvious that a different group which successfully placed the CAF president under suspension are the ones he is having issues with. |

Aystarz: Ideally, after the closure of the tenure of any CAF 1st Vice President, the President of the body recommends him for another tenure of service. Now, Ahmad Ahmad, to the amazement of many, didn't do this, which somehow corroborates the rumour that there is bad blood between the two. Pinnick is no saint here. The CAF president you are referring to has been under suspension for some time now and would not have had the opportunity to nominate pinnick. If you have been watching AFCON, you wouldn't notice that he wasn't recognized, even when the camera screens him. |

These football administrators are in a political ecosystem of their own, they fix matches, share money and settle all kinds of shady deals out of sight of the cameras & flood lights. Yeah, very possible. But the way the article was written sounded like the president actively did that. He is suspended and doesn't have a direct power. I feel the representatives felt picnick is in cahoots with the president and they all should go for a refresh. |
Sports › Re: Pinnick Wanted To Kick Out Ahmad, CAF President — But His Plans Backfired by ubcandid(m): 10:15pm On Jul 18, 2019 |
This story does not add up. The CAF president has temporarily vacated the seat, even in the Afcon, if you observed, each time a view of the vip box was screened, he was never recognized. During the presentation of medals also he wasn't present. How would he have pushed a motion or deliberated when his powers are suspended. FIFA has taken over the running of CAF and I believe the votes were done independently by member representatives. |

€1.5m per annum salary will mean he now earns less than €30k per week. This is far less than what Boro was paying him

If Nigeria is talking about getting a very high quality coach, they can go for Thomas Dennerby, the current Super Falcons coach. He and his assistant are good tacticians. Hahahahahahaha, you are kidding right? I would rather hand the job over to Florence omagbemi. Yes Florence omagbemi.
