Food › Re: Can You Cook All Your Foods With Salt Only? by Ubiero(op): 10:45am On Jun 03, 2009
It's no joke.Even my friend told me that she monitored her while cooking just to be sure that she was saying the truth. It happened that her dad was told to avoid the eating of maggi and so that was how the entire family began to cook without using maggi in their food.
Infact, when she was dating a guy she went to the guy's house and cooked for them. The girlfriend of her guy's younger brother was there while she was cooking. When she told both guys that the lady in question did not use maggi at all, they could hardly believe her. They thought she was joking.Until she told them she could bet her life that the lady did not use maggi.
Food › Can You Cook All Your Foods With Salt Only? by Ubiero(op): 3:29pm On Jun 02, 2009
I was disussing with a few of my friends yesterday and i found out that a mutual friend never uses maggi while cooking,no matter the type of food. She only uses salt and in very few cases, add grinded iru to her cooking. To say the truth,i didn't believe it until i asked about 10 people who told me the same.
More than that,i was mad at my friend for not telling me about it since. It is more painful for me as that mutual friend no longer stays around.
So give me tips,if you have any,on how to cook with salt only.

Culture › Re: Mother Tongue Or English At Home? by Ubiero(f): 12:17pm On May 04, 2009
I can only speak english. sad cry embarassedNot my fault if i do say so.I would say that it's the fault of my parents. They don't care to speak their languages to us at all.All we speak is english.Worse of all is that whenever i tell my dad to try speaking his language to us,he turns a deaf ear.The funniest thing is that if i tell my mum the same, she'll speak her own dialect for 2 minutes and then revert back to english.Personally,i'm thinking of travelling to my village for some time so that i can become acquainted with my culture and my dialect.

The films i love best are
(1)Two together acted by Emeka Ike and Genevieve Nnaji who happens to be my favourite actress.
(2)Missing angel acted by Desmond Elliot and Stella Damascus Aboderin.
(3)Games women play acted by Genevieve Nnaji,Stella Damascus Aboderin and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde.
and some others which i cannot mention.Really,i must congratulate the Nollywood actors and script writers for their increasingly better performance.

And as you very well know,Nigeria needs more of economists than mathematicians.Or what do you think?
Career › Re: Maths Or Economics: Which Is Better For Nigerian Job Market? by Ubiero(f): 4:59pm On Mar 30, 2009
I say economics. This is because economics have mathematics embedded in it unlike mathematics that doesn't have economics in it.
