Nigeria, as a country is due for change. Trust me on this, everything is pointing towards a very violent revolution. If things keep getting worse for the next five years, then something will definitely give. It may be a military coup, or a bloody civilian revolution. God help us then, cos a lot of lives will be sacrificed. Nigerians don dey wise up small small |
@Free2rhyme, thanks for that wonderful exposition. That was extremely well researched. |

Yeah. We definitely attract people who share the same beliefs, habits with us. It could be conscious or unconscious. A bad guy would only be attracted to a good girl who has the tendency to become bad and vice versa. A guy who loves to have multiple girlfriends at once would only be attracted to babes he can deceive, or who are fine with him having other girlfriends. Sometimes, we think we are saints while unconsciously giving off bad vibes. The vibes you give off stem from your sub-conscious. You may consciously condemn something, but if you display even an inch of tolerance to it, someone who does that thing will come into your life and stretch that inch to 5 inches and the slide continues. |
passionate88: bolded... I said he (M.I) wouldn't have said anything if he was there (as an ORDINARY CITIZEN) among the crowd when those guys were being lynched....How do u know that? Btw u should be more concerned with what YOU would have done if u were there. That is the whole point of the song. |
360command: A presidential handshake will do.afterall,he is not d first guy securing such in the world.Read that title again. Especially the part where it says "world record". Humanbeans: CONGRTAS, Tunji. This is one of the guys GEJ Should invite and give him a gainful employment, he is surely an asset to Nigeria. Not yet, man. I think he needs some hands on experience building some serious softwares. No use sticking him in an office to rot away. |
Congrats Tunji, I hope ur achievements don't end here. Now its time to take on the world. |
Paul John: The part in bold is a good point.U're saying we should double the number of students in our already over-crowded universities? |
Oahray: lemme explain it... It begins with 'Instead it be them, let it be me/since i will die, inevitably'. Here M.I tries to show how hurt he is by the incident. He goes to say how he wishes to impact on others even in death (then let be said/when i'm dead/some mother was free, some mother was fed/some mother not me/was able to see), how he hopes not to die a death that would go unnoticed. After the rap, he just talks... Notice he says 'It feels like I stood there watching. The pain and the brutal torture. And added my silence to the violent screams of burn and torture'. Here, he condemns the babaric act of the killers and those that stood watching, to whom life didnt mean a thing. Nowhere in the song did he ever imply he would have died for them... He just feels life should have more value, and the youths that have died (Chidi, Lloyd, Tekena, Ugonna, the adamawa students, and the two gals) shouldnt be forgotten just like that. You should learn to read between the lines. Its deeper than just words.Nice explaination. Please replace some mother above with some other. |
"Then maybe my death can save some other life...when we are all ashes". Very touching song by MI. Lets all make sure this boys' deaths put an end to this sort of thing. Rip Aluu4. |
Downloading...... |
free2ryhme: which Nigeria scientist don discover ...? All science and technology graduate in this country are waste of resourcesTry a little research before you say anything you like. Nairaland is not the only site on the web. You could research on google, wikipedia etc. Nairaland Graduate. |

There is a saying that, the woman who first gets married, and consequently starts cooking first, always has more broken pots than the one who married later. UNN, UI & ABU are very old and prestigious schools. The very first batch of universities established in the post colonial era. They are the first unis established in the east, west and north respectively. At that time, any easterner who could afford university education or got a scholarship went to UNN. Same goes for UI & ABU. Since the first batch of university graduates attended those schools, they bragged about their Almamata and encouraged others to go to these schools. There was fierce competition between these 3 schools to be acknowledged as the best (It remains to this day) It is therefore not a suprise that these schools boast of Alumni like Soludo, Soyinka and Yaradua. They were simply the best and most prestigious then. |
The koko of the matter be say: Do not study in non english speaking countries unless u're ready to spend at least 6 months learning their language first. Finally, before leaving the country for studies make sure u're leaving for somewhere much better in terms of educational standards. Research on the school very well and compare it to schools here. |
Unbelievable. The police went there expecting to confront armed robbers, but were chased away by people with stones. Wetin dem for do if na armed robbers dem meet? |
Juniorstar, u are too kind. I can imagine the effort u put into such a long and detailed post. A lot of info there also applies to other departments apart from medicine and surgery. Thanks. |

Yesterday, it was UNN, today, it is ABSU. South eastern unis love money pass. Yet those schools no be them better pass. Too bad. |
