Everyone is talkin about evil in people and wuts going to happen when if u notice some people here r arguing about wuts going to happen.how about we jus all wait and see instead of predicting.if u truely believe in God u dont have to worry about anything.if u beleive that sumthing will happen on 666 then thats jus beliving in the devil.jus leave it all in Gods hands bc hes the only one who knows wuts going to happen and the only one who will protect us from harm."in God we trust.

PoliticsAdams Oshiomole To Run For Edo State Governorship by uche1(op): 2:19pm On May 22, 2006
Oshiomhole Declares Governorship Ambition
AFTER a long period of suspense, President, Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Adams Oshiomhole, at the weekend disclosed that he will vie for the Edo State governorship race.

He, however, warned against rigging next year's polls, vowing that Labour would resist any attempt at truncating the will of the people this time.

Oshiomhole stated this at Afuze, Edo State at a rally organised by Owan youths to drum up support for his governorhip ambition.

In a speech which dwelt extensively on why he was going to contest the governorship of his home state, Edo, the Labour leader said that the tragedy of the nation was that good and honest Nigerians always refrained from participating in active politics under the guise that it was a dirty game.

"Corruption and bad governance thrive in Nigeria because honest Nigerians do not participate in partisan politics," he said.

The union leader begged to differ with the school of thought which holds that politics is a dirty game, arguing that it is the actors who are dirty and not the art itself, which can be cleansed through the active participation of honest Nigerians.

Oshiomhole remarked that unlike in the past when there was a selection instead of an election, Nigerians should be allowed to freely elect their leaders as it is the only way democracy can thrive in the country.

To those who may be thinking of manipulating the process as they have done in the past, he maintained that the NLC would fight back if winners were imposed.

"All my life, I have been fighting. I am not afraid to fight. Nobody has a monopoly of thuggery," he said amid a deafening ovation.

He said that Nigerians have been so traumatised and disillusioned with politics as a result of massive rigging of votes that most do not even bother to vote, stressing that this time around enough was enough.

He said organised Labour could no longer afford to just sit down and lament while the people's right was being trampled upon with impunity.

Oshiomhole added that he was going into politics with a view to offering quality leadership to the long-suffering people of Edo State and Nigerians who have been pauperised by bad government policies and corruption.

The Labour activist lamented the pathetic state of the nation's public schools and the high rate of graduate unemployment "which has made the average Nigerian to lose hope of a better tomorrow."

hey you can say that agian, you know what Girls are very catty. That’s why I don’t let them get to me, because no matter what you do, no matter how you look, even if you try to change for them , they’re always going to find something else to say. So you just have to blow it off and be confident in yourself.

PoliticsRe: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala For President In 2007? by uche1(m): 8:12pm On May 18, 2006
I am one of the first columnists in this Forum to fly a kite that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala c being a young woman of distinction and one of our best Ministers of Finance in all of our History, is a good presidential material any day. I still hold that view to be self-evident today Obasanjo already has a great and worthy successor in Ngozi,
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has arrived the Nigeria leadership scene by miracle, and in similar circumstance, and she has proved her mettle as one of the best managers of our economy at this time in our History. I am all for Okonjo-Iweala for President. Those who argue she is too emotional and too inexperienced to be President just don't know what they are talking about.

EducationRe: Are Men Smarter Than Women? by uche1(m): 4:06pm On May 11, 2006
I would like there to be equality between the sexes. In many ways there are, but there are some small differences men performed marginally, but consistently, better than women, irrespective of age, ethnicity or social background.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The merchants who import and sell generators will continue to do good business till Nigerians stand up to reject suffering from lack of service from phcn. They use to be knoe as ECN before the civil war, they later changed to NEPA( never expect power always), and now know as PHCn- i don't know what this means.

CareerRe: Who Is Your Role Model? by uche1(m): 2:00pm On May 04, 2006
My role model is not one person, but an entire group of people. My role models are the men and women of the Police Department of every country and every nation. I look up to these people because it is the fact that I long to be just like them. When I get older I want to be just like the men and women I so admire.

My love for the force is when an Officer came to my school and taught us all about how to stay away from drugs and violence and how Police Officers are more than what you assume just by seeing an Officer.

And that's when it all started, my longing to be just like them, I think they are brave and strong and in all aspects Heroes and Heroines. I look up to them and want to be just like the strong, courageous people of the Force. They risk their lives for us everyday and selflessly give their lives trying to keep our cities and countries and our world safe.

So, that is my choice for my role model. They are more to me than the Officers you sometimes see behind the wheel of a patrol car, they are the men and women who keep us from harm and all of them are true heroes and heroines.
