Not all departments have released full list of admission. If it is still under consideration that means there is hope as long as you have not received a rejection mail or waiting list mail.

I heard that all admissions will be out on or before the second week of May.

So it is safe to say that if stavenger doesn’t issue you your admission at the second week of May...one can go ahead with other plans in other countries

yes i waited for six months and i didnt hear from embassy then i have to re book another one without knowing that the booking appointment will stay one year. so my question is now that i cancelled the first 6 months is it still counting for the 6 months or did it start afresh

My brother I am in the same situation as you with the same exact cgpa and I only applied there completely. What msc course did you apply for? I applied for msc in environmental engineering.

Like 10-15slots, for those with knowledge is a cgpa of 3.52-3.55 Considered low for stavenger admission? Do they still screen out those that meet requirements when like all the slot are cover with first class from internationals applicants, do they still consider low cgpa after getting a mass load of higher grades?

A quick one please. That small clause in udi site where they stated

.. that the circumstances in your home country must indicate that it is likely that you can return home when you have completed your studies.

Please can someone explain this. Like what documentation prove are we to show? How do they judge this. Basically explain please.

The admission is not issued once . When I got my admission then I got mine in feb others got in March and April some even got in May tho

Schengen countries share the same database with regards to applications, refusals and visa issuance.

When you apply to Norway, there is a part they ask if you have been rejected by another Schengen country. State yes and the reason (that is what I mean by clearing it up). Since the reason for the refusal was something mundane and not crime related (false documentation, forgery, false information etc.).

A refusal by another country does not mean an automatic rejection by Norway. Only a ban from another Schengen country will mean an outright ban from Norway.

Thank you so much for the feedback but I am confused on one part. What do you mean by cleared up? Basically I have be rejected visa by a schengen country and their reasons were 1. no language certificate 2. My study plans is not clear abii untrue

3. Didn’t pass the maths test given on interview date. I appealed and it was still rejected..So my question is. In a situation like this, what do you mean by been clearEd in the context you reply. Also! For rejections like this from another schengen country. Does it stand as a yardstick for an automatic rejection from Norway.

Not in all cases. If the issue that made them reject an application in another schengen country is not cleared up, then it might also lead to a refusal by Norway. When you apply to Norway after a refusal by another country, the ask you why were u rejected.

Yes you can appeal a study permit refusal by Norway but if there is no new development or document on your part, the denial is most likely to be upheld.

@ uchechukwu007, there is no interview. All you need do is submit your passport along with your documents and after their checks, they will notify you if your visa request is denied or issued.

@ KillerBeauty, when the school notifies you if you have been granted admission, they usually give a one month window in which you have to transfer the money.

@ vinlyreeks, you only need one transcript for multiple study programs in one school. The admission office of the school is the department that receives the transcript and it can be accessed by all the departments you are applying to.

@ lady25, if visa is denied, the school will send the money back to the applicant. All you need do is notify them.

@ toyin03, yes Norway is expensive compared to other European countries but at the same time their salaries are higher compared to those countries. Vaseline I buy in Lagos for N300, after currency conversions, its N930 in London but 1250 here in Norway. When you get a job and start earning their currency, you will realize life here is not expensive as you are made to believe as you generally will be earning well. Its only expensive if you bring your own currency and start doing all the conversions.

Fiance!! I don't remember mentioning fiance. Although I know boyfriends/girlfriends/fiance/fiancee can visit their partners for periods but its only applicable to partners of Norwegian citizens and I think that was just a different visa program during the lockdown when there were strict entry requirements. I don't know if the program is still ongoing as entry restrictions have been lifted.

@ anakinmike, I doubt as a student you will get anything more than a 1 month visa validity. If you need more than a month, apply for another visa category. But why will you need 8 - 9 months visa validity if I may ask?

@ Omini247, they cant deny you admission on that basis. So far you meet the requirements, you are good.

@ Mykelslim, their Msc programs are 2 year programs. Bsc, 3 years.

Good morning guys. Please, I was able to track my transcripts and discovered it arrived stavenger three days ago but yet I haven’t received any mails from the school stating that it arrived. Should I be worried?

Quick one...probably to be aware on time and before hand to avoid surprises. What are asked in the typical Norwegian study visa interviews in Nigeria. Is a test given like in some embassies? What are the typical questions...someone with knowledge should help out

No you don’t have to. All you need to do is use a different log in on the same website. It can be the same email but a different password will be generated for you. Just register as a new user For the new school with the instruction I just gave you

Compliment of the season. A quick one and it is urge t. I applied for university of molde and didn’t upload signed application forms before deadline. I just noticed that you can still upload documents for the school on studweb if you initially have your documents there already. Although date of uploads will be on the portal, is it advisable to upload the application after deadline is met.

Also an important question. The school require in the application form to state if I am applying to another school in Norway and to state which school. I am thinking of stating that I am not applying to any other school even though I am applying to stavenger. Is it a wise choice....also if I provide the truth by telling them I am applying to another school in Norway. will there be any pull back if they notice I am applying to another school in Norway?

What is the best way to go about it

I really do not know as I am done with my higher education and so do not need it. But perhaps you need to complete it with your school and send it with your transcript to Norway.
