RomanceRe: Girls Asking Guys Out by uchesco(m): 2:55am On Dec 26, 2005
I think its really nice for women to ask guys out.....
I once had a girl who liked me tell me in te middle of a phone conversation that she wanted to take a bath with me....And she was not a cheap girl, i tell you.... Well brought up, good job, and we were only good friends until she spoke her mind on the phone.... I was in Lagos and she was in Port Harcourt, maybe thats why she had the courage....

Infact the service hasn't yet started up till now... A little bird told me that there are some issues yet to be settled with their billing, so no date has been set for the billing..So the enjoyment continues!!! grin grin grin As for celemel who said he lost credit, u can call tir customer care on 180 again, they are now aware that some people lost credit and are willing to investigate and compensate u as appropriate..

FamilyRe: My Husband's Affair and the Bellview Plane Crash by uchesco(m): 3:56am On Nov 15, 2005
Frankly She shouldn't leave him at all !!!! U know somethiing... Those arguing that Moni saved him, are really missing the point!!! Truth is, it is GOD that saved him!! and Moni was just a tool in the hands of the Most High to keep Lanre for something he is supposed to do in future.... with his Family... The Lord works in mysterious ways u know.... Otherwise the cheating man would have died since..... if not from the accident, but either from a car crash, malaria, too much sex( grin grin) or heart attack, or the many tragedies that could occur....
So the wife should only thank God for saving her husband but continue the aluta against Moni NOT leave her to win... Whatever happened to fighting for ur man huh
My candid advice is.. If you love hi, be prepared to FIGHT for him... unless he kicks u out himself...Besides, what u saw in him that made u marry him, is the same thing that Moni currently sees... IF she's genuinely in love....thats probably why she isn't ready to let go... AND SO YOU SHOULDN'T LET GO EITHER!!!!!
Cheers..
RomanceRe: Would You Date Your Friend's Ex? by uchesco(m): 5:19am On Nov 04, 2005
I see no problem wit that, as long as u have the courtesy to tell your friend before it starts... Not to get his permission, but as a mark of respect (afterall he IS ur friend , and will have to keep seeing the girl around u.)
If he's not ok wit it (they might have been really intimate or had a really HOT quarrel), then the choice is mine,is ur friend really worth it or ur new found babe.... undecided undecided undecided
Music/RadioRe: 2Face vs Styl-Plus by uchesco(m): 3:33am On Nov 04, 2005
Oh i forgot to add to my list of good music videos...Rugged man!!!
Music/RadioRe: 2Face vs Styl-Plus by uchesco(m): 3:28am On Nov 04, 2005
I thought singing was all about composing goooog lyrics that your fans can relate with and singing it with so much skill/talent and more that u make people rush your records and attend ur concerts??

I want to hold brief for Tuface here, not that i don't like Styl Plus, but i believe ther is really NO basis for comparison in the first place...

Lets face it Tuface IS BETTER than Styl Plus, his lyrics are fantastic (whether in english or pidgin), His voice is very good(at least he doesn't use a synthesiser as much as Styl plus does), as said earlier his stage performance is better than the others(though i admit there 's still room for improvement on all sides).

Forget about the sometimes annoying hype by Tuface's record label, the truth is, if the guy isn't such a good product, noone will listen to him no matter the hype, MTV won't give him the Best African Award(YEAH!!! He just WON), and He'll end up like Rasquie, or one of those bad musicians Kennis has been trying to dump on us....but who can't make it because we ain't fools..

Yep he's good, wit plenty experience(since the Plantashun Boiz days), good looks too, humility(when u meet him u'll know)and the bros can SING!!!

But there's a bad side for me though... His videos are POOR!!! -Need much more effort!! Sadly virtually all Afro/hip hop musicians including the (In my opinion) much overrated StylPlus have this problem of poor quality videos.

The few notable exceptions are P-Square(Their dancing skills are definitely worth buying, even if their lyrics are not that much..),Sound Sultan (another good artiste to watch out for once he can get his act together) and to some extent... Mr Kool,(the guy sabi spend money but has the same wahala as PSquare) and Idris Abdulkareem(no, really!!his videos are a bit watchable)

But Enough said... For me Tuface rules!!!
PS:I'm not a member of his fan club, or affiliated in any way to his record label(who i don't really like).Just thot i'd make that clear...

Even if it is the girlfriend... it will be DANGEROUSto try it... But the story really sounds too scanty, why would he have to contact the brother's wife instead of the brotherhuh Does he have any beef with the brother, or did the brother travel and leave him in the care of the randy wifey?? Me thinks there is more to this than meets the eye...
Soko should explain the matter well
RomanceRe: They're so in Love, But She's 4 Years Older by uchesco(op): 1:51am On Oct 06, 2005
Hi all
Just thot i should send an update on whats been hapening on the above story....

Well, T finally decided to ask L to marry him... as he believed life will not be complete without her.... but he asked her if she could wait for him for the next 2 years, to enable him clear off some family responsibilities and also get himself financially ready for marriage.....Suprisingly SHE refused!!

According to her, while she loves him and is ready to marry him, she didn't want to commit herself to him... AND wait for two years, not knowing if he'll meet any fine young woman and abandon her, while she chases away potential suitors.... She has instead suggested that they leave it to God and if they are both still single after 2 years.... then who knows......

To T, this is making him believe that she doesn't trust his love for her.... and he is still confused... After much thought (and several heated arguments!!), he has decided to follow her suggestion... but just wants to thank everyone for their help... and still ask for any piece of advice the elders may have...

Sir,
Re: Complaint Of Money Laundering Against Chief Abel Ebifemowei, Mrs. Preye Joy Ereboh (Nee Alamieyeseigha) Mr. Enetonbrapa Alamieyeseigha, Seleake Alamieyeseigha, Miss Embeleakpo Alamieyeseigha, Honourable Ereboh, And Chief Mrs. Margaret Alamieyeseigha

REQUEST FOR INVESTIGATION
1. Messrs Ebika Ebikeseiye, Enoch Dimieye, And Gibson Ibe who are indigenes of Bayelsa State of Nigeria and the president, secretary and operations officer respectively of the Coalition Against Corruption with its office at Opolo -Yenagoa Bayelsa State of Nigeria hereinafter referred to as our clients have retained our professional services as solicitors and have passed firm and definite instructions to us to petition your esteemed office to lodge a complaint of money laundering against Chief Abel Ebifemowei, Mrs. Preye Joy Ereboh (Nee Alamieyeseigha, Seleake Alamieyeseigha, Miss. Embelakpo Alamieyeseigha, Hon. Ereboh and Chief Mrs. Margaret Alamieyeseigha and to passionately request you to use your good offices to carry out a full-scale investigation of their complaint.

2. Our clients informed us that in earnest and patriotic response to the clarion call on all Nigerians by Mr. President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to partner with his administration to frontally fight against corruption and all economic crimes in all ramifications in all facets of our national life, they carried out private investigations into the widespread allegations of corruption and money laundering by close relations and children and of their State Governor Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha. Their findings are mind boggling revelations of money - laundering by Chief Abel Ebifemowei, a cousin and a special Adviser of the Governor, Mrs. Preye Joy Ereboh first daughter of the Governor, married to the majority leader of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon Ereboh and three other children of the State Governor whose names are Mr. Enetonbrapa Alamieyeseigha, Mrs. Seleake Alamieyeseigha. The findings also reveal that Chief Mrs. Margaret Alamieyeseigha and her son-in-law, Hon Ereboh facilitated all the money laundering activities of her children.

3. The details of our client's findings in respect of each of the above-mentioned persons in three commercial banks in Yenagoa are set out in the schedule annexed to this letter while extracts of bank statements showing the details of the lodgments in the accounts complained of in Yenagoa branches of Prudent Bank Plc, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, and Zenith Bank Plc are annexed and marked as Annexures "BB" "CC" and "DD" respectively. The highlights of the money laundering transactions are as follows: -

(a) Chief Abel Ebifemowei, to our clients' knowledge lodged and/or transferred a total of:
(i) 1,043,655.79 USD
(ii) 173,365.41 GBP
(iii) N556,455,893.34
(Five hundred and fifty five million, four hundred and fifty five thousand eight hundred and ninety three Naira thirty four kobo) between 3/10.2001 and 31/5/2005 in three banks in Yenagoa.

It is pertinent to state that until sometime in August 2003, when he was appointed a special adviser to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Abel Ebifemowei was a transport officer in the civil service of Bayelsa State of Nigeria. Our clients further maintain that they are also aware that Chief Abel Ebifemowei operates several high profile accounts in his personal name and in the corporate names of EDUBAMO Ventures, Mowei Communications and Ebilayefa Resources Ltd in Standard Trust Bank Plc (STB), Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (GTB) and Prudent Bank Plc.

(b) That three of the children of Chief Alamieyeseigha namely Mr. Enetonbrapa Alamieyeseigha, Mr. Seleake Alamieyeseigha and Miss Embelakpo Alamieyeseigha paid into their accounts in Guaranty Trust Bank, Yenagoa Branch a total of N45,829,904.86 in one day (27/4/2005). These children are all students.

(c) Mrs. Preye Joy Ereboh (Nee Alamieyeseigha), first daughter of Chief Alamieyeseigha, who is a civil servant also paid into her five accounts in Guaranty Trust Bank in Yenagoa Branch in three days namely 28/4/2005, 29/4/2005 and 31/5/2005 a total of N472,363,102.98 (Four hundred and seventy two million, three hundred and sixty three thousand, one hundred and two Naira, ninety eight kobo).

4 Our clients are of the firm view that Governor Alamieyeseigha has converted Bayelsa State and its resources into an exclusive colony for his nuclear and extended family and that while his said family revel in unfathomable wealth, the welfare and interests of the people of Bayelsa who are the real beneficiaries and owner of these resources are suffering criminal neglect. Socio-economic and infrastructural development in the State is consequently progressing at sleep - walking pace.

5 Our client's prayer, therefore, is that Chief Abel Ebifemowei, Mrs. Preye Joy Ereboh (Nee Alamieyeseigha) Mr. Enetonbrapa Alamieyeseigha, Seleake Alamieyeseigha, Miss Embeleakpo Alamieyeseigha, Hon. Ereboh and Chief Mrs. Margaret Alamieyeseigha should in furtherance of the anti-corruption crusade launched by the Federal Government, be arrested and subjected to thorough investigation for money laundering and where found culpable prosecuted in accordance with the extant laws against money laundering and other financial crimes. Our clients are confident that a thorough investigation of their complaint by your office using their preliminary findings as a foundation will unveil more sordid but rewarding recoveries.

6 We are confident that you will apply your evident commitment to the noble task of ridding our country of corruption and money laundering to bear on our client's complaint and ensure that the full wrath of the law is visited on Chief Abel Ebifemowei and his co-felons.

7 Accept the assurances of our highest regards and consideration as we look forward for your speedy and decisive action on our clients' complaint.

Yours faithfully,

O.O Ogah & Co.

Cc:
His Excellency,
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo,
The President and Commander in Chief of The Armed Forces Of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria,
State House, Abuja.

smiley smiley Many thanks to everyone for their contributions...... It really helps put the issue in perspective.... ak=lthough i must point out it is easy for Djibril Cisse, and his older wife... they are based in the West, and He has LOADS OF MONEY!!!!

T on the other hand is not that rich, he has however just gotten a good job, with which he could use and settle down. This would still be delayed however by responsibilities(His siblings are in school and parents are somewhat retired, though he lives with them; thats the Nigerian extended family system thing ). Sorry for the wrong info, he is actually 25 while L is 29, and is still unemployed...The couple are Igbo, just like me

I took him up on the age thing, and he said his parents are not in favour of him marrying an older woman... (Thats expected) but i'm sure the issue is that he is still not ready for marriage, because of the lack of money, and basics mentioned by Calabarman and GreatPeter.......

So the question is , should he ask her to wait, knowing how crazy Nigeria is for any young guy trying to settle down, with all these responsibilities....

Pls more contributions are
REALLY welcome, undecided undecided undecidedSeun, i have sent the address to T and he says he will log in and find out.... Pls do lend a hand

RomanceThey're so in Love, But She's 4 Years Older by uchesco(op): 5:25am On Jul 13, 2005
SHE'S OLDER, HE'S YOUNGER. THEY ARE SO IN LOVE. WHAT DO THEY DO?

Guys, ladies, I really need your help on this topic. I've just been told a very sad story by a close male friend of mine who decided to confide in me when his mind just couldn't take it anymore. And i told him to give me some time to work on it, but i'm stumped too. So i've decided, with his permission, to bring this issue here hoping I could get some suggestions, so please let's hear them! It's all about a young guy dating an older woman. Bear with me, Seun, I know this topic must have been put on board before but this is kind of personally different.

Here's the story: the guy (who we'll call T) met a girl (let her be L) in the higher institution, and they both got hooked. Actually L actually was first to fall in love, and was the one who initiated the first moves, and actively encouraged T to do the official toasting (i.e asking the "will you go out with me" question)

Truth is "T" was just 18 years old, and a brilliant but naive year two student in the school, though in the same class with "L" , who looked young too.

Unfortunately they found out she was 23, four years his senior. They talked it over, but by then L was secretly falling in love, and she suggested and he agreed to give the relationship a chance and see what happens , with the agreement that it will end after they finish school, if they last the distance.

So they start a relationship, and according to Tunde, it was blazing! It just seemed the two were compatible in every sense of the word. Actually I knew about the relationship and I could sense the compatibility but I couldn't feel it the way Tunde did. His words:

"Everything was fantastic. We were in love, and we had a special camaraderie that made us more like brother and sister, best friends, husband and wife. You know what I mean? I became her confidant, her adviser, her lover, her friend who knew when she was sad, and how to pamper her and make her feel like a queen, my queen, who she admired for his brain power. Bros she respected me, and I mean respect, not looking at my age. She was an independent woman but she knew how to treat a man, without losing her respect. She could even understand when I was really angry and when I was pretending to be angry and usually played along to soothe my feelings, and vice versa. And did we have sex? No, but we made love. And Uchesco I swear our love making was was out of this world!"

They went out for 4 years, until they finished school and this is where the problem starts. She had fallen in love and didn't want to go, but T, decided to push her away, because he felt he should move on, so they went to serve in different states. But despite trying other relationships, he couldn't just let her be.

After their service year, they meet again, and behold, they rekindled the romance, this time secretly. However, both know that nothing could be done to finalise the relationship, and here's the dilemma.

What should T and L do? He's not fully ready for marriage, but she is (she's going to be 30). She loves him, and both find it difficult to fully commit to another person, (T says even though she has several suitors, she is still fond of talking to him about them so he'll help her choose!)

I'm thinking of telling him there's really no hope, and that he should free her to move on lest she continues waiting for him and then if he doesn't marry her she may eventually get bitter and want to ruin his wedding and maybe his life. These things have been known to happen, but how do you tell a guy and girl obviously in love that? And in a way, I still believe in the power of love.

Can love find a way? or is there really no hope? Please your contributions are welcome, and i hope to let T read them eventually.
RomanceRe: Nigerian Girls and their love for Recharge Cards by uchesco(m): 1:05am On Jul 13, 2005
Babes will always ask for recharge cards...... but the fact is they will ask whether u have something dirty in mind or not.... In my experience, since i started working, most babes u meet will still throw the question early ... maybe to test ur generousity level... if u don't play ball , any future moves(if u had any in mind) will be actively discouraged......they won't even consider other facts whether u were really broke then grin grin. But its a fact of life we have to live with... In Nigeria, Men buy most things for babes, not just recharge cards... wink wink
RomanceRe: If A Lady Woos You by uchesco(m): 7:18am On Jul 06, 2005
If you think that when a girl asks me out, it means that she has been reduced in my estimation, then you are plain wrong. Its all a matter of maturity.

aturity

Word bro, pls tell them... I wonder what happened to the gender equality cum liberation thing that they so eagerly talk about??
Don't get me wrong o!! I'm all for it but i feel it should beimplemented not only jobs, equal rights etc, but in matters of the heart...

Unlike these SHY girls who prefer to die in silence , some other girls are comingin in subtle endearing ways (e.g sending him a sweet text,or a card, or a note,) A few bold ones come out openly too....and i'm happily speaking from experience... grin grin grin smiley

As for the response..... it really depends on the guy, if babes can say no, why can't guyshuh Why should females be spared the agony of rejection, that they so happily dish out too..(sadly i'm speaking from experience too sad sad)

Anyway guys can always read the signs that a woman likes u ,its in-born(we call it the "green light"..), so there still hope for the shy gals (note i said GALS), so whether they toast us or not,Life still goes on!!!

angry angry angry angry angry angry angry angryThat match really pissed me off..... not just only me but possibly Sepp Blatter and other football loving people... Any final match that is decided by two controversial penalties awarded to the same team.... cannot be too good for football.I mean it was obvious to all that the argies strategy was to perfect their diving skills in the 18....
Any how, Siasia and his boys should still hold their heads high.... They attained and out-performed our expectations ... unlike their GrandPapa Eagles..... Pls don't get me started on that.........................
