PoliticsRe: 50 Reasons Why We Should Celebrate Nigeria by ucnduka(f): 7:04pm On Sep 29, 2010
Truly I wld luv 2 see oct 1st pass without the elaborate noisemaking I keep hearing n 'seeing' everyday but d only reason I may celebrate is because somehow I'm certain dat due to d rising number of young people who r aware of d probs facing this country, talking abt it and looking at the possibilities of CHANGE, mayb there's still hope for Nigeria. I wld just hold on 2 dat and celebrate even though it's still in d level of 'talk-talk'.
PoliticsRe: The Only Solution To The Chaos In Aba Is The Return Of Bakassi Boys by ucnduka(f): 6:43pm On Sep 29, 2010
As much as I would have loved to disagree with the poster, I have to say that the failure of supposed modern instituitions like d police force has made the people to resort to diabolical means to solve security probs. If d rate of kidnapping in Edo state could reduce because of d curse pronounced on the Kidnappers by d Oba, why wön't people clamour 4 d return of Bakassi boys? The fact is the police force does not any strategy for combatting kidnapping for now and maybe in a few years time(considering d fact that they still cannot unravel d mystery bhind a lot of high profile murder cases). The solution to resolving may sadly lie outside d police force for now.

I've always seen such game shows as fraudulent so no matter how many times I see their adverts or texts, I just ignore them.they are a waste of time and money. I wish the guy would win so the these mobile networks would learn their lessons and face their primary purposes.

Honestly, your cousin is just being paranoid and ungrateful. He has just two daughters and he is already shouting, abegi! What of those that have seven daughters or those that do not have children? Please, tell him that he should be grateful for the ones he has and pray for a son.come to think of it, stories like this make me wish that men should be the ones going through the stress of pregnancy and child birth.

This is a testimony of why Nigerians accept the status quo. This generation of Nigerians have come to accept poverty in Nigeria in an oasis of the few rich. Why then do we blame MEND?

One of these yahoo boys actually assume there is no more cuuse to fight for in Nigeria, he tried to bomb American plane. He has all the money and toys like these money-miss-roads here, so he decided on outside cause. He could not find any, like these spoilt brats here, in Nigeria.

I hope that during their weddings, all the who and who looters are present as usual. And there would come Faroque Mutalla Muhamed to fight his cause at home, not in America. Only then will Nigeria be saved from these hands of cleptomaniacs, since we do not have our own Rawlings.
]it's People that talk like this that would do 'shege' with money if they have more than enough. Mike Adenuga has helped to better the lives of alot of Nigerians than u have so if he decides to spend just $1 mill for his daughter na wetin concern u? If u are so passionate about the state of the nation and the less priviledged, then make ur own money, donate it to the poor and we will clap 4 u and always mention ur name in history books.

This is a product of good reasoning but my pain is that our leaders abi rulers would not listen. They are either too deaf to hear, too blind to see or too daft to use their brains. So, this is another reasonable thought they would choose to ignore.

PoliticsRe: Emir Blames Failure In Neco On English Premier League by ucnduka(f): 8:36am On Apr 06, 2010
Remii:
The Emir has a point but not only the premiership should be blamed, there are so many distractions today, the cellphone companies free night calls, MTN extracool and others, is another menace, e-dating and the rest some people chat away their lives also use of funny spellings such as b4, u, your, r, kk, l8er, etc, etc have affected students ability to write correctly. Examination malpractices has been around long enough to the extent that many teachers these days did not write there own exams so they are not even encouraging the students to pass exams without help.
I quite agree with you. Though the government takes a major share of the blame in the failure of the education system, alot of students contribute to their academic woes. It is easier for students to spend hours in front of the tv set, browsing etc than to spend at least one hour reading their books. Whether, the emir's statement is sensible or not, we can not deny the fact that we have more lazy students now than before and no thanks to the corrupt system (which involves parents, teachers and the government) students see cheating as an easier route than studying.

Lawless Nigeria with even more lawless goats in the Nigerian Police Force.

This is clearly the result of the very high level of illiteracy among those NPF folks. Beyond their greed and "oga settle us" talk, many of them are plain old cave men in uniform.

These guys are really desperate to cause instability in the state of affairs of this nation. If trully he is recovering, why grant access to only a particular sect? It is unfortunate that religious leaders are getting themselves wrapped up in this web of lies.
PoliticsRe: Fed Govt Distributes N2bn Buses To Tertiary Institutions. by ucnduka(f): 10:59pm On Apr 01, 2010
Honestly, our leaders think with their backsides. 138buses/69 institutions= 2buses per institution; tell me how that would make the acute transportation problem history in a university of over 45,000 students? And to think they spent N2 bn. So, even after the long ASUU strikes, these i.d.i.ots still don't know the real problems affecting our tertiary institutions. What a pity!
FamilyRe: Between Husband And Wife, Who Should Greet The Other First In The Morning? by ucnduka(f): 9:10am On Mar 31, 2010
joe4christ:
the only thing, i mean only thing that would ever make a woman find it difficult to be the first the humble herself and greet her husband is nothing else than {pride} and remember this same pride goes before the fall of a nation, and this same pride has result to many broken homes both in nigeria and the western world. i pity any lady who cant deal with her pride before hand, pride has been 1 of d gr8test weapon satan is using 2 pull down homes,
Pls mind what u type from that keyboard of urs. If trully u believe in God u would advocate mutual respect from both parties. Infact, it is only an obsessively proud boy sorry man that would not greet his wife if she does not greet him first and make an issue over it!

^Don't make me laugh. How many men love their wives these days? Is it not also part of the Bible that men should love their wives the way Christ loves the church? Go and place pictures of the end time in threads where men are accused of being serial cheats and not loving their wives.
Thank you for this. The bible also encouraged men to be willing to give their lives up just like Christ did for the church. Moreover, Christ have his life first before demanding submission. So, men ought to love their wives faithfully before screaming submission.
FamilyRe: Between Husband And Wife, Who Should Greet The Other First In The Morning? by ucnduka(f): 7:51am On Mar 31, 2010
Cyberfreak:
Manty,How come there is more pressure on women to do things that make their partner appreciate them? How many things are Nigerian men known for doing for their wives to make them appreciative?
That aside, all you men on this thread, and also women (shockingly) advocating this 'greet first' policy by talking about verses of submission in the Bible should remember that the Bible also demands that men love their wives like Christ loved the church. Ask yourselves how many men love their wives like Christ loved the church and whether if those men love their wives in that way, they would pursue such trivial issues like who greets first in the marriage.
I cannot see the relationship between being a 'submissive wife' and being the first to greet. It has always been said that in the institution of marriage, two people become one;so I don't see the reason why a part of a single entity would enforce on the other part, a rule. IMO, just like a whole lot of people wake up in the morning to say their greetings to God but still live terrible lives during the day, the same spouse that makes it a duty to greet the other spouse 'good morning' can make ur whole day bad. Bottom line, the question of who greets first is a mole hill that should not be made a mountain, if there is real love in the marriage, this issue raised would never come up.

ONLY GOD CAN HELP US lipsrsealed
God has always helped Nigeria (Infact I believe He has special angels for Nigerians and their prayer points)but we have refused to use the greatest aid He has given to us- our brains. Until we begin to use this asset greatly we'll continue to wander in darkness. Concerning the comments on this thread, what else accompanys a comedy show if not laughter and this 'night of a thousand laughs' featuring 'the cabal' is the funniest so far . Moreover, we were once referred to as the 'happiest people on earth'.

PoliticsRe: President Adds Five More Ministers Including Dora Akunyili by ucnduka(f): 7:42pm On Mar 24, 2010
Kobojunkie, ur posts on Dora has always made my day. I agree that her tenure as the minister of information put a dent on her almost impeccable record but is that enough reason to crucify her? If people who cannot account for d $16bn allegedly spent on the power sector can be elected into office as governors, then Dora stands a chance of being forgiven. Agreed that Nigerians glorify her to madness, but who would blame them when they can barely see any other public official that can stand up for the truth even though so late. Personally, I want her to leave the political arena with the remaining part of her integrity, cos in other climes, lying is enough to make a public official resign but in Naija we've seen worse sins committed so na lie we no go forgive? (although this also reveals our level of mediocrity).
