24 February 2016: PTE (L R W S : 90 85 90 66)

22 April 2016: IELTS speaking bumped to 8. Plus I got my refund.

31 May 2016: CDR submission to EA

17 June 2016: Positive outcome (Engr. Tech)

18 June 2016: EOI submitted

06 July 2016: Invitation to apply

09 August 2016: Visa application lodged

12 September 2016: CO contact for wife's functional English (she wasn't satisfied with letter from her school)

25 September 2016: Uploaded wife's PTE scores. L R W S 82 74 66 81

13 October 2016: Grants received in mailbox, for me, my wife and daughter. IED 9th Aug 2017. Processing team - Brisbane.

I didn't use work experience points. Just d minimum 60 points.

After worrying and fuzzing over nothing, I finally have it. At work right now, but it is a sweet feeling. Still thanking God for it all. I read contents on this forum and expatforum, and it has rili helped. Grateful to everyone for their contributions. I wish us all success in our endeavors. May our dreams come true.

Thanks

Bro, Sorry for the delayed response.

The aim of the CPD is to really see how much efforts you have put into developing yourself since you finished your Bachelors Degree and to ensure you have been in the same line with your chosen or nominated field...

I usually advice people to Tabulate a Summary of their CPD and it should include Title/Description/Date/Duration/Venue...

1. List out your Post Graduate Studies or Any type of seminars or conferences that is relevant to your nominated skills

2. List out verified articles or journals you have personally studied as well.

3. you can also list the HSE

4. Also add any undergraduate technical seminar you did

5. I'll advice you list them in a chronological order starting from the most recent

NOTE: You are not expected to submit proof of anything you fill in your CPD (Except you're currently doing a masters program, you'll need to submit your enrolment letter and your most up-to-date transcripts of the M.Eng)

Finally Addressing your current situation, I'll advice you to do a lot of research to get dates and information about past conferences and seminars that took place in Nigeria or at your undergraduate uni. Also search for journals online with texts related to your field. Organise them properly and fill up your CPD.

My Personal advice is to get a minimum of 10 different CPD activities... Cheers bro

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dangote Refinery Is Recruiting, Closes On 15th August by udokas: 1:29pm On Mar 21, 2016
Aliko Dangote, president of Dangote Group and Africa’s richest man, is sending about 800 Nigerians to India, to learn the operations of a petrochemical refinery.
The 800 Nigerians will travel to the Asian country over the next 24 months in a batch of fifties, to learn from the nation with the largest refinery in the world.
India is home to the world’s largest refinery – Jamnagar Refinery Reliance Industries, Jamnagar – which refines as much as 1.2 million barrels per day.
A source in the company confirmed the development to TheCable on Friday, adding that the first batch to be trained will leave for India on Sunday, March 20, 2016.
“About 800 will be trained in batches within 24 months. The first batch of 50 is leaving for India on Sunday,” she said.
Dangote is looking to creating employment within the Nigerian economy, rather than importing expatriates to run the first private refinery in Nigeria.
The refinery, projected to worth $9 billion, is being built to have a refining capacity of about 500,000 to 650,000 barrels per day.
“After receiving a private licence to build a refinery, Dangote has commenced the building of a 650,000 barrel per day (BPD) petroleum refinery, which will be the single largest in the world,” the conglomerate said in a statement more than a year ago.
“The refinery would have a larger capacity than all of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) refineries put together.”
Dangote, who hosted Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), at the site of the refinery in January, assured Nigerians that the refinery would be ready to meet the nation’s need by 2018.
“Today, Nigeria imports 100 percent of its fertilizer, but when we finish, Nigeria will be the largest exporter of Urea and Ammonia in Africa,” Dangote said in January.
“The refinery is the largest single line in Africa and it will meet our total domestic requirement and save foreign exchange. Thirty-eight per cent of CBN’s foreign exchange is spent on importation of petroleum products.
“We can serve the whole West African market. We are going to serve the whole domestic market in the next 10 years and also export. We have actually been doing this for a very long time to diversify the economy.”

I enjoy the comments on this forum , because at this time sharing of information is key, I will keep running my intels on the company to see how much I can gather. For the production operators interview, try to know how to read P&ID and PFD, any other contributions will be appreciated.
In addition, know how to read Cause & Effect Chart, and Process troubleshooting.

Ur experience before M.Sc won't count for migration points...but be sure of ur B.Sc getting the comparablity. Was it a five-year major? What are the courses' relevance? Is ur Ms closely related with ur B.Sc- I.e career progression? What assessing authority has u?
Thanks for ur reply. My B. Sc is in Chemical Engineering, a 5yr course but I did it for 4yrs as I entered via direct entry, i.e, with an OND. M. Sc is same course.
TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by udokas: 6:09pm On May 20, 2015
NNBB2012:
Kindly assess with your Bsc, that will give more points in years of experience provided that you will meet the requirement of the skill you want to nominate. Check the requirement with the Assessing body. Generally, using Msc for assessment is a waste of time and that does not give you extra points on the point test. Msc and Bsc have same point-15points.
Thanks. Both are in Chemical Engineering.

ferdimako:
I think u must obtain the nomination from that SA first and u must have done ur English test. That was why I asked u if it's 190 or 189.

No go throw away ur cash. This one u choose which question to answer.

Any work experience after that highest qualification u assessed stands eligible for migration points. ACS takes off the first two years after B.Sc as part of suitability... I don't know if they do after Masters degree or what Vetassess does.
@Ferdimako, I have B. Sc and after working for 3yrs, I went for a 2yr M. Sc. Hv worked for 3.5yrs now since after M. Sc. Pls which of the degrees am I going to be assessed on? And will my experience after B. Sc be canceled? Am planning for 189 visa.

Since ur tax is deducted from salary, it wil reflect in ur payslip.

So all u need is:

1) Employment letter
2) Reference letter from line manager
3) Payslips ( start, some inbetween and last month b4 application).

That is all. Provided your company can be traced online and you guys use work emails and not yahoo.
Thanks for the detailed explanation, I so much appreciate

But if there are doubts, the CO would rather see Bank Statements and/or tax system, than just payslip.
thanks bro/sis, Pls I don't understand which one is tax system, can you pls explain to me. I work in a small company and the only thing I know is that tax is deducted from salary every month. Thanks
