Dude, come of it ... There is nothing like Patriotism in this country. The word is quite annoying when mentioned in the Nigerian context.

What are in the indices that support an intrinsic patriot as you want us to understand?

Patriotism is not some verbal declaration, or some latent future HOPE that radiates within, it is as a result of things we see, experience and the history behind.

yes,everything you have said clearly defines nigerias state bt we are nothing as a nation without patrotism.when things go low,we try to take it high.

The senators boosted their profiles by identifying with the bill that obviously sponsored itself, again, very correct!

You mentioned that the bill is very popular and was passed to pacify the already angry youths! Again, very correct! So, who is holding the bill from becoming law? Saraki or Buhari?
If Saraki presided over the passage of the bill, passed it and sent same to the Executive and Buhari's only job is carry pen and sign, yet he refused. And you mentioned that the bill was to pacify the youths and someone somewhere is sitting on it. Don't you think your anger as a youth is misplaced?

To teach you a little thing about the Gavel that Saraki uses; when the Senate president calls for vote by saying "those in support say Hi(Ai) and those against say nay", even if the entire Senators shout " Ai" and he hits the gavel and says "the nah have it, refer the bill to the drafting committee for adjustment", that's all. You say He didn't do jack!

my dear,nawa oo.that bill was signed into law by buhari 3 months ago..as for the gavel,what he does with it is not just his business to do as he pleases.he was elected to do that job and if he doesnt live up to expectation and go with what majority of nigerians been represented by 109 gentlemen and ladies want,then he will face the electorates and battle for political supremacy in the chambers of which is important to him

Ojukwu knew he had lost after the counter coup in 1966. Greed, pride and self aggrandisement didn't allow him recognise Gowon. He used the Biafran agenda to waste 3 million of his people. He kept his family safe, ran to Ivory Coast only to come and contest for the Presidency of the country he sought to divide.

Decades later, Uwazuruike came selling Biafran passport and swindling them of their hard earned money.

Nnamdi Kanu did the same, bolted with the world wide contributed money to escape to Ghana and eat shawarma.

The problem here is, they will not learn. They'll end up blaming the Yorubas and Fulanis.

Seems you are incoherent with history.when nzeogwu took over the northern part of nigeria during his partialy successful coup,he wasnt able to capture the south,lagos in particular which was the seat of power and that was when the reigns of govt was gvn to ironsi,the then most snr military officer and mind you,ojukwu was then the military governor of kano and refused to recognize nzeogwu saying he was not a 'constituted authority'.it was after nzeogwu agreed to hand over and surrender to ironsi was when ojukwu was transferd and made military head of the east.
Yes,he refused to obey gowon after the 1966 coup but not for personal reasons entirely but coming from the backdrop of the massacre going on in the north then whch the military governor,major katsing left unabated.the timing of the war may probably have been ill concieved but thats an argument for historians.i just wanted to point out what i dnt agree with in your statement and thats making it look like ojukwu supported the first coup in d first instance. And pls,cut we igbos some slack,most of us lost our loved ones due to the nigerian military not holding to the rules of military battle,some had to start life afresh and the tales of this horror has been told for generations.so respect anyone who sees things differently.we can only but argue and get those who dnt believe in nigeria to see reasons why they should

Am proud to be igbo,but biafra? Certainly not my thing but i respect the tenacity of our brothers engaged in the struggle for what they believe in.uwazuruike should know that this income tax initiative is an ill wind that blows no good and is trampling on the sovereignty of nigeria and even questioning the legitmacy of constituted authority,which is firs,who are empowerd by law to collect taxes.if you want something to be done right,then do it right.this is another insolence that can get him arrested.

Having all these political heavyweights jostling for one ticket is really a 'tsunami like' scenario.will advice the pdp to give everyone of them a level playing field to lobby and canvass for delegates.that way no one feels cheated.anything short of that will spell doom for the political points they ve scored these past weeks and it wont augur well for them.best of luck though.

If you're expecting a 30year old to become President, then the president of Nigeria should accent on the "Not Too Young To Run" bill and allow it take effect from 2019. The constitution places an embargo of ages of those to contest Nigerian presidency. That age restriction has been there for years. But the Senate president in his foresight to bring youths into governance passed a bill that removed such age limitations and sent the bill to the president but the president has postponed it till 2023. How is that Saraki's fault?
Saraki is 55 years old and the most qualified and young man if he joins the race.

Look beyond hate and see what he has done at the national Assembly, standing against intimidation, putting his political career in the line for the country.

we have 109 senators in the senate.saraki did not do 'jack' to get that bill passed.that bill went through the stipulated constitutional process to become a law and he did no special favor to the nigerian youths when that bill was passed.what political carrer did he put on the line? That bill was a popular bill which every senator hinged on to get a mass appeal from the already angry nigerian youth.saraki and the others were actually boosting their political profile nationally by identifying with that bill.
