thanks for your response @ugsams and @femijck like I said earlier have not met with the man it was my in-law that he give the slot to and he ask if am interested. I believe as soon as am done with the passport I will have access to the man & with the help of this forum and the knowledge have gather I will be able to ask and even clear his doubt on some issues. I promised to keep updating u guys as e dey go.

my in-law said the man said presently he still has some cash with him that I should try and get the passport ASAP before he used the money for something else. That phrase I don't really understand.

My story might be a bit long but I will appreciate if I can get a positive response from all the Oga's in the building.

Going through from page 1 let me just be factual and open up.

Some weeks ago my father-in-law called me he asked me if am interested in traveling out of the country I said YES. He said some years back he helped one of his friend son to travel out (either financially, morally or spiritually that o can't say) he said the guy came to Nigeria and they met, he said d guy said he wants to appreciate all what he did for him back then by sponsoring someone from him. That's why my father-in-law put a call to me if am interested. He said the man said he will do all the processing from his side that I should just get international passport first and some little change for processing (going through this forum I think maybe is passport verification sending to SA). After going through this forum I notice getting sponsor with different name might not be easy bcoz I have no relationship with this man and our names are different. My question now is will it be easy to secure NZL visa if yes the visa will be under which category and also what will be required of me.
NOTE: The man lives in NEW ZEALAND

If the said man lives in New Zealand then he should know better. Just follow him diligently and play safe. At the moment, it doesn't seem to me like he has proposed anything. No enlightened person living in New Zealand will open his mouth to guarantee you of a visa when you're not a part of his nuclear family and even at that INZ has the final decision to make.

A little bit about yourself might help us suggest better with the type of visas that are available to you but if I'm being straightforward with the reality at the moment student's visa seems the most feasible option in recent time(pre-COVID19).

INZ is still not fully back yet and someone was telling me 2 days ago that it may take INZ up to 3 years before they are fully back due to all the backlogs they've had.

No one traveled anywhere bro. The agents say that just to convince unsuspecting ones and scam them off their money. The truth is that New Zealand is a small country and Nigerians are minority. We hear of almost any new Nigerian in our cities. It's either we know them or someone we know, knows someone that knows them. I can bet that if it's so, one of us on the thread might have learnt of a Nigerian who arrived their city with such visas or one of such persons would have come here seeking for information on how to settle in and all that. Let's not even talk about the restrictions on arriving New Zealand in this pandemic.

Recently, there have been a few visas uploaded on this thread and some sent to me directly for verification. My position on these visas still remain....However I had a discussion with a friend today who recently came across similar visas ....so far what we know is the city where the visa is originating from in Nigeria...

The authenticity is very questionable....but I heard some people were able to confirm the status on INZ website. If that's true, can anyone share a screenshot as I wasnt able to do that myself...also can u post the exact website address here.

Most of these visas are essential visa linked to Matueka cricket club which is the oldest cricket club in NZ and currently under reconstruction.

Also I heard one of the the criteria for using the NZ visa is to have a temporary Australian resident Visa....all these seems abit complicated and I will advise people do more research on this. Any further information gathered will be posted here....

bro 99% of those visas are fake. All the Motueka visas I personally verified all turned out to be fake. The editing on them are not even consistent. If you check few of my posts back you will see the link to verify visas. it's less than 5 posts back. All the people I know who applied for visa from December till now has everything on pending because of lockdown. So I wonder which immigration is responsible for turning out these visas. The ones that claimed they verified it online with the agents only have NZeta which the agents edited this Motueka visa with the details of the Nzeta. so they only use the details to verify on the NZeta website. This is the current reality for 100% of the visas I have checked and to be minimal it's over 10 visas in the past few months.

Furthermore, NZeTA is not visa, it's simply for those countries that ordinarily have visa free travel to New Zealand to sort of provide advance information to INZ before arrival. I think it was introduced around November last year. The only way Nigerian passport holders are eligible is if they are on transit in New Zealand either To or from Australia with a valid visa or if they will be on transit through New Zealand on a cruise ship. Most of these agents use this later option.

You have a slim chance. However, if you get a skilled job, have the right qualification and your employer is an accredited employer by INZ they can sponsor your visa. This is not a recommended way of coming to New Zealand as it will be a 50-50 chance. It might also cost you a lot of money. Your best bet will be to explore every other option and you will be surprised that you may be able to work something else out. Also note that on a tourist visa you will need to buy a return ticket which may set you back by around a million plus just for tickets alone.

The whole document is fake from top to bottom. The name of INZ is wrong. You can easily check that actually.
You see where it says type of visa? Then one journey. Really? It's a visit visa. One journey to where? No visa ever states that. Not even 9ja visa (yes have had to apply for a visa to Nigeria for my husband)

The editing is never consistent, if you put 10 of these visas side by side, you will discover lots of discrepancies in all of them.

It's really unfortunate how much of these fake visas I have received in the past couple of months. These agents started with NZeTA and then of late started masking it with this visa specimen which I don't know where they lifted from. 90% of them has employment from Motueka Cricket Club. By looking at it alone it screams fake. All the NZ visas I have seen including mine and that of my partner never had the silver fern watermark embedded in it. These days when people say they want to send me their visas to verify, I already know it's either this or NZeTA. These devilish agent seems to have a very wide reach and only God knows how many people they must have defrauded so far. I have personally seen over 10 visas like this and some of the victims are not even in Nigeria.

We don’t know anyone who has used CCNA. The certificates we know you can use: ACCA, CIMA, BCS, ICM, CIIN.

Do you know anyone that has used ICM? I did a random search on Nairaland but couldn't find any positive feedback on ICM. Any link to confirm a successful evaluation?

Based of my course " international relations " do you think it can give me any pathway to PR?

In New Zealand having a PHD gives you a pathway to PR, irrespective of the field. Go for it if you can afford to. Your wife might even have a better chance at the PR at the end of the day. I wish you the best in whatever decision you settle for at the end of the day.

I wanted to inquire about any funding options available to prospective students like me, something like a partial scholarship for Master of Engineering Studies- Taught and Master of Engineering by Research (Civil Engineering).

I contacted the university and they sent an EOI form for a Graduate and Teaching Assistant position. But I haven't enrolled for the Masters programme yet so I don't know if I'll be selected for the Graduate and Teaching position with UoA.

It's really a hard one bro. If you can seek scholarship directly I'm sure you will find lots of scholarship position available. if you have a good academic research record it will sure help.i have seen one of our mates who got admission into PhD from bachelor's. I must give it to him, he is good with research and has got lots of academic publication.

On the other hand, if you can afford the cost by any means, it will be worth it at the end of the day. Usually I advise people to go for PhD in NZ instead of MSc except you're really loaded

In respect to what baba Femi said that one is not allowed to stay back after studies on scholarship basis. Please I would like to ask some few questions
1. Is there any degree specifications to that ie phds or masters inclusive .
2. Does it mean you won’t be issued the three years working visa after your studies
3. What if the person sponsored himself and not bound by the scholarship
4. Lastly, for instance for a PhD student in health related fields happens to get a work Or for better for worse mechanism, on or before his or her studies elapses, what happens then ?
Any other person with ideas can help out as well wit the questions

1) No specification, it applies to all level of education
2) Yes, No post study work visa
3) If you sponsored yourself then you are eligible to apply for the post study work visa and stay back.
4) You have an obligation to go back. I only heard about a Cameronian who got asylum due to the crisis back home. I also learnt of a guy from Botswana who was willing to pay back the scholarship money and still had his post study work visa denied.

If you can afford it, your fiancee coming to New Zealand to study is a good way of coming to New Zealand. However, if you can't afford the cost of her MSc, let her do her masters degree Nigeria and apply for a PhD admission. Tuition fee for PhD is way cheaper than masters and undergraduate.

seems like our circumstance is the same. When we called earlier they said there will be some changes by 26th. I'll keep my fingers crossed till the end of today.

Joining the party here in part 9. I have always believed that Canadian skilled migration is very complicated and takes a lot of time. I also don't like very cold weather so all these made me to look away from anything that has to do with Canada in the past years until last week when it seems there is a strong force pulling me towards Canada. Friends, family, everyone, seems to suggest that we consider Canada and has either moved or planning to move.

In addition to these, some temporary limitations in applying for Australia which has been my country of choice has brought me here and I have been reading from page 1 and other external links. At the moment it seems like we have a lot to do, from ECA to IELTS but I believe that in this Part 9, we shall get our ITA, PPR and COPR.

With time I hope to get familiar with the monikers here and the culture. I have picked up a number of tradition but still learning, so I pray that I'll be corrected with love if I ever make a mistake.

Not necessary bro, our license is in English and you should be fine with it. I never needed it for anything not even when I converted my license.

I'm new on Nairaland but got to know about this platform in July following the response I got from the VAC-SA that my passport was ready for collection 2 days after submission. It was in my worry that some1 sent me this link where I read through the message trails and confirmed that passport verification within days is a norm.

On that note, I say kudos to all those who spare their invaluable time to share vital information on this platform. Indeed, the details clear doubts and give answers to many questions.��

My story is actually long and rigorous but in summary, I submitted my student (PhD) visa application on 28/06, had my 45min. telephone interview at 9.15pm NGT 24/7/2019 = 8.15 NZT 25/7/2019 and to the glory of God, I received my "Approval in Principle" on 24/09 and got the visa on 03/10.

Generally, I would like to encourage all who submitted student visa application to be patient and ensure they respond to their case officers explicitly and on timely note even during the telephone interview.

My special appreciation goes to femijck, ugsams, davodyguy and a pal "bucade11" for their unalloyed support & responses to all prospective NZ migrants..����
