This is a good visa. Have you got the visa? if not, your major concern should be how to get it because visa application takes a whole lot of time these days and there won't be much left by the time you get the visa. Another challenge will be convincing the visa officer on why you wanna drop everything you had back home and move to New Zealand for just 8 months or demonstrating that you intend to go go back after that.


I want to know how easy can one get a job in North Dunedin - could be anywhere in country really buy my preference is Dunedin for personal reasons .

I haven't been to Dunedin yet, but if it's anything like Waikato in terms of job, then you should be able to get some casual jobs within 2 weeks of arrival except you're so selective with your job search.

Must one hold a driver's license?
It's actually a necessity over here as most job vacancies always request for reliable personal transport because public transport is not so efficient. However, I'm just saying based on my experience; it could be different in Dunedin.


Because I'm not sure if my skills will be acceptavle in NZ or not please, like how much can one make with 'any' job. Need some money to further education.

Minimum wage is 16.50 NZD per hour and will be increased to 17.70 NZD by April if everything goes as planned. If you're working a minimum wage job of 16.50 NZD for 40 Hours per week, you should be able to earn more than 500NZD weekly.

It's a pretty easy/less demanding training but the job of a JP who knows what he doing ain't beans. He is expected to be 100% in charge of the job/task on site .....preparing all neccessary job permits and certificates, coordinates very closely with HSE folks and Engineering also. It's fun sha if you have previous field experience and enjoy outdoor project actualization. A good stepping stone tho a good number of contractors don't really pay good but still on still.....5k no bad. Just take it a day at a time man.

All it does is save you time. Lots of personal time. Don't underestimate how tiresome it can be to keep filling the same information over and over again at every stage of the visa application especially if you're on subclass 190 and aiming for a direct grant.

I always advise everyone to fill EOI before assessment. JUST DONT SUBMIT YET. Doing it before your English and assessment outcome will save you a lot of time as the entire process is essentially a repeat of ALL your EOI details.

Please ensure everything you fill is 100% accurate and in tandem with your documents. Any variance and you might just have wasted valued time and money. Once you have your English score and assessment outcome, you can then update your EOI and submit.
