Ojiofor:He has been told that already. He has been reproached. He is not incorrigible. |
Ojiofor:You have some points certainly. However, we cannot stop supporting Nnamdi Kanu on account of his lack of tact and diplomacy. And that is for the simple reason that we do not ascribe perfection to him. We stick with him and remain focused as we push towards the single goal of restoring Biafra to statehood. We move on focusing on the goal, correcting ourselves, learning from mistakes made and blunders committed. We will never grow cold because of some excesses and blunders of our leader. |
SlayerForever:Where I come from "ja" means small. When it refers to a man it means a small version of.., as in ezeja which means a junior king which is the same as a prince. Ugwuja is another example. If a man whose name is Ugwu wishes to give his name to his son, then he has to attach "ja" to it to distinguish him from himself , hence "Ugwuja" that is Ugwu junior. In the case of "Jaja" it means an only male child who succeeds his father who himself was an only male child of his own father, hence Jaja. That is a sole successor. Onitsha people will call such a child Onochie. |
Ojiofor:You are clearly an airhead. It is so clear. If you ascribe, demand and expect perfection from Kanu, then you are being impractical. You are tactless. If you do not see that Kanu with all his imperfections represents resistance then you are blind and naive! Gbue dike gbue dike mbosi ogu a choba dike. Look at Shettima, that Arewa Youth mouthpiece, the one who issued quit notice to the Igbos resident in Northern Nigeria. Despite all the damning things he has said and continued to say, you do not see Northerners proceeding publicly against him in the media space. Gbue dike gbue dike mbosi ogu a choba dike. |
Bonesking:You are very funny. Interesting sarcasm you have got here. I am quaking with laughter. |
We are Biafrans. We are unstoppable. Chukwu-Okike-Abiama is our God. Ours is victory. Victory is ours! |
They tagged IPOB, a peaceful organization, terrorist group, everybody kept quiet.. Now, the same insane logic of Buhari's government is being applied and extended to protesters who protested against the injustice in the land. Who then will speak up? |
peacekante:According to the video, the kids are "Crystal" and "Dozie" not Christy and Dixie. |
A man of truth goes home. A voice of truth goes still. A breath of courage rises into the heights. He was called Balarabe Musa. May the Great Beyond receive his soul with loving hands and comforting embrace. Amen. |
Nightstalker:Are you done? Go on. Go ahead. Continue. They say there is some pleasure in being insane. Go on, enjoy yourself while you can. |

Good step taken by Gburugburu. This is commendable. He should also extend the same treatment to IPOB members murdered in cold blood at Emene by terrorist Nigerian military. He should get this same panoply of bishops to hold a very solemn requiem mass for those young men who were cut down in the prime of youth by the wicked hands of the upholders of the false federation of Nigeria. Gburugburu should be fair to all people in his territory. Random symbolic acts will take us nowhere! We will never forgive. There is no forgetting. We will always call to mind the manifold atrocities committed against us in our own land. We also remember unend the pretentious and cowardly stance of all those men in government whose actions betray a belief that some lives are more important than others. |

Gburugburu is definitely not the worst governor in the country. He has kept things at mediocre level, nothing extraordinary, nothing spectacular, nothing of note! His projects are mostly of second rate, and largely substandard. Substandard projects that cannot stand the test of time and pressure of persistent use. He really needs to step up his game. What exactly does it take to go for high quality construction works? What will it take Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to insist on getting the best quality in project delivery? What does it cost to do a thing so well and so solidly so much so that it will serve even the unborn (future people). Look at the school projects he commissioned recently at Nsukka Town and Orba. They are all substandard. Repeat, they are all substandard. Very poor quality jobs coated with colourful paints! Rough and shabbily done works disguised with flashy colours! In some of them, the floor tiles are already cracking as one steps on them. Gburugburu appoints thieves into sensitive positions. He settles his political friends with government appointments and leaves them alone to do as they please. If it were not so, why did he not hold Nestor Ezeme, the immediate past PPSMB chairman, accountable for the school projects undertaken by the school board. Why did he not even inspect those projects. He only appeared once to commission substandard colourful structures. Barrister Nestor Ezeme has shortchanged Enugu State by delivering substandard projects through the school board he headed. Gburugburu does not care. He does not want to as little as offend any politician. He values their cult-like solidarity more than every other thing. He cannot reprimand any of them. He lacks the balls. He wants to remain their good boy. Their Father Christmas. Gburugburu plays politics with the people's progress, their collective growth as a people. He gives contracts to politicians instead of reputable construction companies with proven track record and experience. He gives out contracts to politicians and his village cronies, people who have neither capacity nor competence, and encourages them with his body language to steal as much as they can. He calls it "nrashi" (come and chop, come and eat with us). That explains why Enugu State is littered with tremendously substandard construction works, projects that cannot outlive his administration! It is so painful to see money wasted so recklessly, public money frittered away on some inferior, badly and crudely done projects. Look at the street lights installed along Opi-Nsukka road. Whoever that executed that contract owes Enugu people unreserved apology. He owes Enugu people restitution and reparations. First, he installed oudated kind of street light with inferior galvanized steel pipes. They are all getting rusted right before our very eyes, and that is in less than five years. Every now and again, one or two is brought down by wind putting road users at risk. Many of those streetlights are since gone and yet not replaced. They fell by themselves. Showing that they were of very poor quality. Imagine "galvanized" steel pipes that got rusted in just about five years. The bulbs are even dull yellow lights giving off a feeling of gloom. What happened to white light, energy saving bulbs? I have travelled to many places and I have seen modern solid, even beautiful streetlights. In Orba, Gburugburu's own native place, the projects are largely still substandard. What is wrong? What exactly is wrong with Gburugburu? Why can't he fully take charge of his government, stamp his feet firmly to the ground and insist on the best quality. He has to stop the culture of settling friends and associates with contracts. Those friends become emergency contractors overnight, then start running up and down borrowing tools and equipment! Some either sell off the contract outrightly to another or hire mushroom construction companies to do very shoddy work. Under Gburugburu, corruption has become the norm in public service in Enugu State. Public offices are for sale to the highest bidder. Imagine public appointments and offices are sold and bought. Then the cycle continues: those who bought their position must recoup their investment with loads and loads of profit. This they do at the expense of the state, Enugu State. That is what Gburugburu calls "nrashi" (come and chop with us). These appointees and office loafers as a result get so brazen and recklessly bold in demanding bribes and gratification. Under Gburugburu in Enugu State, one must bribe his way through to get anything done. Civil servants must pay money to receive their promotion letters. Teachers due for conversion must settle their zonal Chief Supervising Principal to be enrolled for conversion. Even the CSP herself bought her appointment from government hence the desperation to recover her money by all means and at all costs. It is that bad. The long and short of it is that we have got a substandard and recklessly inferior governor on our hands. A man plagued with a psychology of inferiority, some kind of inferiority complex. That is why he needs to please his political associates and henchmen to feel good about himself. That is why he is reluctant to call them to order, he does not want to upset things. He is no disciplinarian. He is no technocrat. He has no understanding of technocracy which means using experts in their fields of competence. And yet, Gburugburu can change all that. He can decide to mean real business, serious business of quality project delivery for Enugu State for the remaining days of his tenure. |

gidgiddy:You have spoken like an elder. Jisie ike n'ezi oru gi. |
ezenwajosh:Tell them naysayers. They are all bloodless cowards and so Kanu's audacity of truth frightens them. |
SmartProf:Professor of Sexology! |
MediMedi:That is his style. You shouldn't have a problem with it. |
Why did you stop? Continue the instruction |
Original4u:You got me wrong sir. I did not mean to start an argument. I said what I said for those who know. Okay, I will browse through my laptop for old pictures of rolling hills of Nsukka. I will post them here for your benefit. That will be when I get home. I am on the road right now. Forgive me. |
Come to Nsukka and see mighty hills that are alive with breath-taking greenery. Nsukkaland is a wonderful place! |
Good! |
helinues:Ewu Gambia bleating and braying up and down in Frederick Lugard's zoo, unable to tell the difference between a zoo and a natural habitat. Shameless Nigerian domesticated chimp! |
BIGGESThead6:. Keep quiet there, you nitwit. At the appropriate time, the Nigerian State will hear from us. We already crossed the Rubicon. We have finished all our basic assignments. War is definitely coming. Every part of the zoo shall feel the heat. |
No safety kits. No standard kit for field work. Why must workmen in this part of the globe either look like mad men or be half-clad in briefs like boxers and shorts? |
Realm men are straight forward. No sychophancy. No mincing and sugar-coating of words. |
SlayerForever:And who told you Jaja does not mean anything? Jaja is an onomatopoeic word. |
Rugaria:You see, some of our people want to sound politically correct. And the easiest way to achieve that is to demonize Nnamdi Kanu, a man whose only crime is seeking to establish a just and free society for his people, and to liberate every other oppressed people in Nigeria. It is a sign of intellectual weakness for anybody to continue to hack on Kanu's methods. There is nothing absolutely wrong with his methods. |
If the man is survived by only female children. If he expressly wills any part of his own property to his female children. Those should be the provisions. |
ukaface:You have said it all. I keep telling everyone who cares to listen that Nigerian brand of hip hop has a weakening effect on the psyche of Nigerian youths. Hip hop distorts values and makes life look simplistic and superficial. It reduces the object of existence to pursuit of money and fun. Yes, Don Jazzy is right. This generation of youthful ones is not only weak but smells of emasculation and castration! Hip hop people have weakened the minds of the youth! Don Jazzy and his hip hop people are to blame. |
It is a new specie. A new output from the mechanism of evolution. Let us call it "spotra". "Such wonderful things Thou hast shown in Thy righteousness Oh God of my salvation!" _ The Psalmist |
