@BUSHMEAT, everyone is interested in ur metal and copper exportation. Why not share it with us here, how do u source the metals, do u do crude refining or export the raw ore? @fhemmmy, why not share some of ur auto dealership skills? Or is 500k way too small for a start? @topic, i once read a topic similar to this, and i picked an invaluable advice that i'm working towards right now, 'get a concrete mixer for 250k and start leasing/lending to construction workers, road builders etc @ 10k - 15k per day. I'm stil doing my feasibility studies and the prospect is quite amazing! Also, u can buy a metal scalfolding and lease/rent it out to builders, carpenters and painters. (metal scalfolds are like ladders, set up to reach top of high buildings, for painting them, roofing, plastering etc). Any investment u make on building material is worth it. |

I would hav been disapointed if he delivered on his electoral promises of steady power suply, fight coruption, youth empowerment etc. I knew nothing good could come out of Gej, hes doing exactly as i predicted, so i aint disapointed nor suprised. He achieved nada @ bayelsa with less than a milion population, billions of naira as monthly allocation and almost one tribe, what do u expect of such a man when he becomes president of over 160mil people wit more than 252 tribes, cultures and languages. We all shouted it prior to (s)election, but unfortunately, some 22 milion people decided otherwise. Once again, i aint disapointed. 1 Like |

@9 zeros, if u read my analyses carefuly, u'll understand why i said anambra is 'arguably' more developed than most states (for the fact that i included 'arguably' meant i could be right or wrong). Let me throw more light, most states in Nigeria can only boast of one developed town, i.e, the capital, like the states u mentioned, cros river has just calabar, enugu has just enugu town, Rivers has just ph, akwa ibom has uyo and maybe, ikot ekpene, while anambra has awka, nnewi and onitsha as mega cities (onitsha is a comercial city, dont expect it be like abj). I can also equate Delta in the same category, delta has asaba, warri (and maybe sapele, ugheli) So my analyses is based mainly on the number of developed towns/cities u can find in the state, not the level of development in the state capital. We all know calabar beats most cities, but after calabar, what else can cros river boast of? Just my opinion, dont sweat it, i may not be perfect, but i'm close to the truth. Anyway, lets hear ur breakdown of any state u want to throw more light on. |

Anambra i might not be able to highlight all the goodies of the state since i aint from there, but having schooled at anambra and spent over 5 yrs there, i can throw a little light on the state. With exceptions of abuja and lagos, anambra is arguably the most developed state in nigeria, most states in Nigeria boast of just its capital and maybe, one more developed town, but anambra has many cities, and u hardly find a rural dwelling in anambra. From the capital, awka, to onitsha, nnewi, nkpor, ekwulobia, agulu and lots more. Anambra has got lots of economic activities goin, so if u're a hustler and a hardworking guy, be ready to make cool cash. Endowed with many high institutions such as Nnamdi azikiwe univ, awka, Anambra state univ, uli and igbariam campuses, oko poly (ekwulobia Lga), st. Paul's univ, awka, Nwafor orizu college of education, nsugbe, st. Paul's college, agulu, school of metallurgy and material tech, onitsha, the new posting policy could as well land u in any of these tertiary institutes. Theres water available, light is regular (i can speak only for Awka), social life is great (i stil marvel at the number of hotels in awka alone), there are tourist centres such as the ogbunike cafe (went there for picknick once, but the fear of snakes kept me away from entering the frightening cave ), Agulu lake, onitsha bridge (the finest in the country ), u can visit nri, the ancestral home of igbos, and lots more.Let me allow someone from anambra to do more justice to this, as regards state allowe and others 1 Like |

Abia state: Abia has a population of closely 2 mil people, with numerous mineral, human and natural resources. Since the new posting policy is strictly teaching, u wil find it interesting to teach at abia since education is top priority in the state. You can engage students in part time classes, and if u're good with computer, u're already a hot cake, b'cos u can use ur part time to teach computer in evening classes. There are 17 local govts in abia, none is rural, but most are not fully developed to the city standard. Umuahia north (capital, developed), umuahia south (semi developed, very close proximity to the capital), aba north and aba south (developed), osisioma (semi developed, close to aba), obioma ngwa (semi developed, close to aba). Bende (some parts). The rest are not realy developed, but arent rural either. I wont consider u lucky if u're posted to arochukwu (very far from the capital), isialangwa (least developed, close to rural). Since the new posting policy favours education, you may be lucky enough to find urself in michael okpara university of agric, umudike (ikwuano local govt), abia state univ (isuikwuato L.G.A), Abia poly (Aba), college of education, arochukwu L.g.a, Federal Research institute, umudike, college of health, aba. The state pays 5k if u're working in the state ministry or school, private schools pay between 5k to 10k. Water is readily available anywhere u find urself, light isnt a problem, even the rural areas have better power suply than the cities. Security is good, we had issues wit kidnapin long time ago, but its all over now. Below are a highlite of what u'll be expecting in terms of tourism: war museum, umuahia (the only war museum in africa), ojukwu bunker, umuahia, visit the active site for solid mineral mining in umuahia (site for mining and procesing of kaolin and talcum, used for production of powder, chalk, paint and costmetics), visit Ariaria market, aba, the largest market in africa and lots more.
