CFCfan: The person that wins the $100,000 will have something to say about that.
That's the winner, what about everybody else? The populace at large, even you viewing, what do they gain?

njokusboy: Op, wat do we gain from watchin football, since most of us are not footballershuh What does watching football teach ushuh What do we gain from watching endless series with 12 seasons and 18 epidodes on each serieshuh? I tink u can find ur answer there?? We only watch for fun and relaxation... Simple...
And the contestants? What's the idea behind the shows if the economy is really down and people lack jobs? Shouldn't they be more concerned about empowering the people instead of keeping them on their tv screens for 3months 'relaxing'?
TV/Movies › Re: Are Reality TV Shows/Competitions Of Any Benefit To Us? by UjSizzle(op): 8:40am On Oct 16, 2013
Bludeville: It's simple really, it benefits the economy , it benefits the followers, it benefits the contesters...etc What kind of benefit are you talking about? And who is the "us" you are referring to?
'US' viewers, and contestants. What are these things you benefit from them specifically? What does the economy gain? What do the viewers get other than entertainment? How does it help contestants with their lives after the show's ended?
It has been established that BBA is is useless but the puzzles in GUS are not really that intelligent as to keep you mentally alert. They are just showing what happens when people go camping.
And the team work? It can all be applied in everyday life you know undecided

To give it to BBA, Dillish certainly taught people to use others as pawns on a chessboard.
Don't you do that outside too? And how did BBA become about affections? I thought it was supposed to be a social experiment
I think BBA is useless. With GUS you get to learn the importance of 'team work', and trying to solve puzzles keep you mentally alert.

Romance › Re: What Should I Do? I Am So Confused About Him. by UjSizzle(f): 7:24am On Oct 16, 2013
If you're going to give him a chance then you need to open your heart to him and you'll eventually grow to love him. Don't go into a relationship out of pity, or simply because he's a christian..you'll have to find other qualities he posesses too.
Physical attraction may fail over time, Flamimg passion may soon burn out, but a relationship based first on respect and love which grows over time lasts a long while.
I like the sound of this man and you two are already good friends, so if you think you can build something concrete with him then by all means do so.
If you can't then please hurt his feelings today and save him misery tomorrow.

TV/Movies › Are Reality TV Shows/Competitions Of Any Benefit To Us? by UjSizzle(op): 6:46am On Oct 16, 2013
Reality TV shows/competitions are the new fad in TV programming and we have been inundated with so many of them through our TVs.

Examples of such shows are BBA, GUS, Next Movie Star, Project Fame, Nigerian Idol, Nigeria Got Talent, Celebrity Takes 2, Koko Mansion, X Factor, The Debaters, Apprentice Africa etc to mention a few.

Now, the question is are these shows beneficial to the society and the populace at large? It's debatable so I'll throw it to NLDers

Other than the obvious cash prizes and entertainment factor, what benefits do you think you've derived so far from following these shows and how do they impart positively on the lives of both contestants and viewers?

Nairaland General › Re: Men Ignore Ladies When Shaking Hands - Why? by UjSizzle(f): 8:18pm On Oct 15, 2013
Leo Adewale: Sometime ago, I heard a lady address this issue on Silverbird TV. S he said it's wrong for a man to offer a handshake to a female. She said it is anti-ettiquette. Females have every right to decline a handshake from males. Lastly, she said only when a female offer a handshake should it occurr between both genders.
Maybe in just a social setting. Personally i don't mind a man offering a handshake, what i hate is that annoying finger rub they some of them do on your palm.
But how do you excuse not offering a handshake in a business environment where by the same rules of etiquette men and women should be treated 'equally'??
I'm asking cos the situation i highlighted in my initial post happened at work.

Illuminatus: That would be too authocratic.
It's supposed to hasten the whole process and prevent the multiplicity of accounts that'll suddenly pop out of the blues.

Fynestboi, a lot of those topics aren't particularly mind boggling.
